Bob Jones The Coming Years

Sharnael Wolverton and Bob Jones and his prophetic insight from the 1950’s to 2040. (video follows)

Bob Jones claims God showed him these things about the past church and how it would be in the years to come.  Notice the transformation in increments over a period of time – how the church will attain the highest level of spirituality eventually. This has nothing to do with the true power of Christ and how He works in the lives and hearts of those who call Him Lord.

The 1950’s revealed the power of God

The 1960’s revealed the Spirit of God

The 1970’s revealed the Word of God, inspired teachers with new understanding

The 1980’s revealed the prophets of God (probably refers to the false Kansas City Prophets)

The 1990’s revealed the government of God

The 2000’s revealed the glory of God through gold flakes, gold teeth, etc.

The 2010’s  will reveal the faith OF God, different from faith IN God as He will be in the spoken word.

The 2020’s will reveal the rest of God and He will rest in us.

The 2030’s will reveal the family of God, a real unity

The 2040’s the coming forth of the kingdom of sons of God who will possess a likeness of the Son of God with power over death, the weather, everything. There will come a season when death will have no part, a generation that will not know death, they will not be afraid. If their life is taken they will have the power to resurrect it.

Doesn’t this prophecy make you wonder what in the world Christians have been doing all the years prior to this time frame? I guess they just had it all wrong and God was not moving or revealing the true truth until the 50’s.

Where is any of this in the bible? Manifest Sons of God at it’s peak!  FALSE FALSE FALSE Only God has the power over life and death. If you research any of those names Bob gives, Allen, Coe, Branham you will find they were not true to the Lord and God would never endorse those who led others astray.  In fact, I’m not so sure that God would even call out the names of men because it it NEVER about us, it is always about HIM – JESUS!

Remember, Bob Jones one of the original Kansas City Prophets and is known as a seer prophet, whose prophetic gift and supernatural abilities and experiences far surpass all others. He has a profound influence over many throughout the past, which continues today without question – a few are Patricia King, Todd Bentley, Bill Johnson, Rick Joyner, Mike Bickle, those who are building kingdoms…

Genesis 3:4-5 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

Thus Bob Jones is a false prophet!

Acts 1:9-11 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner. See also Luke 25:51, John 20:12

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

There are many warnings in the new testament against false prophets and teachers who bring a different gospel, a different Jesus. These will be judged for their lies and we are to have nothing to do with them! See 2 Peter 2, 2 Timothy 4:3-5, 2 Timothy 2:15-18, 2 Timothy 3:1-7, 2 John 8-11, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.

Galatians 1:8-9 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Yes, M’Kayla, it’s the original lie, “…you shall be as God”.

    • Ian, that IS IT, isn’t it? Just like Adam and Eve and so many are taken in by it – Manifest Sons of God. This is how I kinda reconcile the end result of latter rain-kingdom now-dominion theology. There is no need for a bodily return of Jesus in their doctrine; they become Him.

This is your typical MSOG doctrine…. I call it spiritual alchemy…. it’s all about turning base metal into gold, only they are trying to make it work on a spiritual level. Unfortunately for them, this is kabbala and NOT Bible.

  3. “The 1990’s revealed the government of God” Gee, I thought that was revealed since before time. Silly me, I thought He is the Alpha and Omega. What BJ is really referring to is the NAR sanctioned, hierarchical, “government” (control) of churches. I know you know that, but this one got my hackles raised, as if there is any government other than Jesus is the head of the church.

“The 2000’s revealed the glory of God through gold flakes, gold teeth, etc.” Pah-lease, is this their idea of God’s glory? Is their idea of Him so small?

And dang, I thought I could rest in Him now, but I guess I have to wait till the 2020’s.

    blah blah blah

….. so ego-centric, Jones talks as if his little group are the only believers in the world.

Paul Cain has been in the ministry for over 60 years, and has led a life marked by the supernatural. While still in his mothers womb, an angel appeared to his mother with a message from the Lord: “The fruit of your womb is a male child. Name him Troas Paul. He will preach the gospel as the Apostle Paul of old…. and he will prophesy to Kings and Presidents.” All of this came to pass exactly as it was told, and is continuing to unfold even now……

These liars all seem to have fantastic stories like this one – their mothers are visited and given these prophecies. I guess it makes their lying ministries more believable to the gullible followers.

I don’t know much about Cain, except that he was one of the Kansas City Prophets. I heard his name mentioned from time to time when I was involved with the Vineyard. I believe he was found to be an alcoholic and a homosexual and at some point removed from ministry. Doesn’t sound much at all like the ministry of the Apostle Paul, tho, does it?

  7. Such slander and vicious words against ones who love the same God, worship the same Jesus who died for you all- He died for them as well- should we not, all together as the body of Christ, quit tearing one another down? Otherwise, how will the world know we belong to Him, if not by our love? Our love for one another, our love for them. The world will never want to belong to Him if they see us treating one another like this. Why spend your time investing in a site that slanders and tears down part of your own body? Surely in all the Word of God, in all your wisdom you can ask Him for something better to invest your time in. Need we be reminded that even the angel did not slander Satan?

    • Sarah, Bob Jones does not worship the same Jesus that I do. He does not speak for the same Jesus who died on the cross, who calls us to one body, who is the Son of the Most High God. The world and all of Christianity needs to be warned of these false prophets who have come into the church and have led many away from the true faith. I have nothing to better invest my time than to warn people like you who have been taken in by him that you are following the words of a false prophet who does not know Jesus Christ and does not speak his words! If Bob spoke true prophecy how would he come up with such statements that are not found in the bible. Do you think you will one day, or your children or grandchildren embody or manifest Jesus Christ? If so, you need to return to the word of God. This is the same lie as was told to Adam and Eve in the garden! Genesis 3:4-5 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. Thus Bob Jones is a false prophet!

And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Slander by definition is to say things against a person that is not true, damaging their reputation. I am not guilty of such a thing. But by definition, Bob Jones has “slandered” Jesus Christ.

Bob Jones preaches another gospel, and assuming those visitations are real, they too have preached another gospel from the one in the bible. Therefore, they are accursed. So Sarah, now that you have been given the truth about Bob Jones you need to decide as it states in the next verse –10 For do I persuade men or God? Do I seek to please Men? for if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. Do you please men or God?

Bob Jones would never give you as much truth as I just did. Why are you protecting him, this man who comes preaching another gospel, another “jesus” who will lead you straight to hell with him, stealing your salvation while you enjoy his lying words?

Please read second Peter on your own, wake up your discernment.

I just spent an entire week with a woman who has literally LOST HER MIND. She was a part of one of these churches, was coldly turned way by the Pastor and has hid in fear until last week. She said she had received an anointing at the church, and was chosen to hold HOLY SOAKINGS in her home, but at the last minute the church turned her away and told her “YOUR NOT ONE OF US”. After that she felt something unseen coil up her arm and sit upon her head. She is in a complete state of paranoia and can no longer drive her car. She has been tormented day and night for 5 months. I have known her for fifteen years, and she has gone over the edge. I am very upset at the selfish doctrine being touted about like supernatural candy. We do not spend our time here slandering, we are helping each other. I hope as you read the articles you will have an open mind, we really truly care and are heart broken from these teachings.

I am so saddened to hear about your friend. This description is close to what I experienced. It is very important that she take authority over satan and command he leave her. I had to do this to the extreme because of all the “anointings” and “giftings” and manifestations. This is what it sounds like she needs to do. I commanded in the name of Jesus anything that had touched me, been spoken over me, prophesied to me, imparted to me, etc. to be gone. And any time one of them attempted to come back, and they just may for her too, I did it again. It is a struggle, but one that can be overcome. I also found the article on the top banner on spirits of revival, very helpful. You may want to print it out and give it to her. Let me know if I can help.

  11. Wow! This video was a real eye opener. I was not aware of this camp until now. These were excellent points: “Doesn’t this prophecy make you wonder what in the world Christians have been doing all the years prior to this time frame? I guess they just had it all wrong and God was not moving or revealing the true truth until the 50’s,” and “There is no need for a bodily return of Jesus in their doctrine; they become Him.” So these people actually think they can have glorified bodies without the Second Coming or prior to it? And how do they explain away the seventh week of Daniel, the reign of the Antichrist, the return of the Lord and the Battle of Armageddon? Did they just rip those pages out of their Bibles?

For a time my husband and I were quite a bit involved with the NAR camp while attending Bible College in Southern California, at a church whose pastor later resigned upon confessing he had fallen into the sin of homosexuality and was in a relationship with the youth pastor (I felt terrible for all those young men and their families)! This particular pastor used to teach a lot on all those names mentioned by Bob Jones, such as William Branham, Jack Coe, Oral Roberts, Kenneth Hagin, and many others, but fortunately the Lord pulled us out even before his resignation. We knew also that there was a strong Jezebel spirit dominating that ministry, as the female teachers and preachers were so impossibly overbearing… There was also a teacher who spoke a lot about apostolic reformation, and we used to love his classes, but recently I went to his church website, and he has veered into a totally weird and extreme direction, and when I heard a clip of his sermon it sounded totally fake, like a theatrical performance.

You know, to me it should not be difficult for us to be able to tell the true from the false, especially since Jesus told us the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth. I know that for some it might take a while for their eyes to be opened, and then they might have to really go through a lot to be delivered from deception depending upon the level of their involvement, but I know the Lord is faithful and won’t let any of His children remain in darkness, provided they desire truth, of course.
Well, thanks for the post and the info.

    • Hi.
This is why you have heard me be so careful of prophets and prophecies. Bob Jones influences just about all the leaders in the NAR and those who follow them including some, if not all of the Indigenous Peoples Movement. (I don’t know that he is involved with Peter Wagner since he has his own prophet – Chuck Pierce. I haven’t read or heard any mention of Jones with them or with Cindy Jacobs or Dutch Sheets.) I was astounded to find how much importance they all put on Jones, his experiences and prophecies. Ministries have been “birthed” and expanded because of his prophecies over them, one of which is IHOP, Mike Bickle. Jones is more in the spirit than he is in body, having had more visions and out of body experiences than anyone on earth – ever. Some believe he is a shaman and I would not doubt that as truth. I swing back and forth on whether these things truly happen or if he is just a well developed liar. He is one of the Kansas City Prophets involved with the Toronto Blessing in the early 90’s. I think he first appeared in the late 80’s but I haven’t found information on him much before that.

You are right in that we should be able to spot these workers of darkness. The people of God have grown weary in the discipline of prayer, bible study and true evangelism. They have come to prefer the fleshy “presence of god” who is felt and experienced and the need to know their “places and destiny” in the spirit – gifts, prophetic words that have nothing to do with the Lord. They believe in the “suddenlies” and not the true work it takes to bring a person to repentance. They believe they have hidden knowledge and power reserved for them “for such a time as this”, “the latter rain” they believe they are or will be “Joel’s Army”. It all comes out of a desire to know more. The pride of the eyes, life and the lust of the flesh. My husband likened it to the time when Moses was on Mt. Sinai and the people grew tired and weary of waiting and instead built their golden calf. Charismania is the modern day version of that calf.

  12. Hi KBF, that would be Roberts Liardon, eh?

I’ve been to one of his meetings. He can sure pull a crowd, maybe bcos of his book, “I went to heaven”. So many believers long for real experiences and demonstrations and people like Liardon tap into that desire and draw people who are dissatisfied with so called ‘dead’ churches.

I listened to some Bob Jones tapes in 1996, staying at someones place, and i nearly got sucked in. He speaks mainly about his experiences in a very homey way, its easy to begin to believe him.

But ultimately, after hearing people just talk talk about all their flights to heaven etc it leaves your spirit unfulfilled and then you realize that is not the ministry of the Holy Spirit, which reveals Jesus alone.

  14. I think it was LIARdon who back in the late 80s wrote a book on his visit to heaven. I had bought the book thinking, “Wow! This man went to heaven!” He described a scene that I found goulish: He said he saw a room full of legs and arms that were ready to be sent to earth when and if people had the right faith for their limbs to be replaced. I think that was the one thing that done it for me right there. It seemed to be a mockery or something. I can not remember anything else about the book but that one part. Anyway, he is just another lying heretci out to make a buck off his follwers.

    • That book is on his website. Many others claim to have been to the room in heaven with extra body parts. They claim “special access” given to them from God or an angel to visit the room when someone on earth needs a replacement part. Heidi Baker is the first I ever heard say so. I so often wonder if these people actually have the same experiences or if they just copy cat – like the killer.

  15. Bingo! You guys got the name right. The worst of all is that the youth pastor he was in a relationship with used to be one of my best friend’s fiancé.

Another thing is I just had the shock of my life when I googled the name of that teacher I mentioned, Barry Cook. My husband and I used to love his Church History classes at the Bible College, and he trully inspired us at the time. Well, I just found out through another blog that about 2 years ago he divorced his wife because he was having an affair with his associate pastor’s wife, a couple he had married himself, and that later the woman had a child by him. The couple was Hispanic, and the baby ended up being blond with blue eyes, like Cook. The congregation has demanded a DNA test, wchich he has refused to take. I just could not believe it, I mean, I did believe it happened, but it just goes to show that we cannot ever put our trust in man, I mean not in ANY MAN. When we had classes with Cook, he used to teach a lot about the reformers, such as Marthin Luther, and how the church had fallen into all kinds of pagan and heretical practises at that time. I am not at all into any NAR doctrine whatsoever, but it is obvious that the church today is in the same shape it was at the time of Luther, if not a lot worse, and in dire need of reformation. I just don’t know how that will take place, since most false teachers are so full of their own selves that they would just refuse to repent, and without repentance, the church cannot be reformed nor revived. I often wonder how we are going to get from here to being the church we are supposed to be just before Jesus returns. As I said elsewhere before, I guess only severe persecution will be able to bring about that change. There’s an interesting scripture in Daniel that I think refers to that: Dan 12:10 “Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.”

    • KB, I can’t agree -I often wonder how we are going to get from here to being the church we are supposed to be just before Jesus returns. As I said elsewhere before, I guess only severe persecution will be able to bring about that change.

We are changed through the laying down of our own lives, through following hard after Him – the renewing of our minds in spending time in prayer, bible study and worship, by throwing off the the things that separate us from Him. Without this we would not be able to stand under persecution. At the same time, being without “things” could make us more dependent on Him – or not. If a believer is not a true follower of Jesus he would not be persecuted anyway. He would be quick to fall away or to deny the faith. In the end, it is God who will do the miraculous. All that we are revolves around Jesus and what He did as we will always be sinners in this life, always weak, always falling short. But, we look up and in our weakness He is strong. Maybe that is what the church needs to get back to – being all about HIM. I don’t see how we can be anything else than what we are until Jesus comes and we are changed.

As far as your story – how sad! And how many lives are ruined when we run after our own lusts. We don’t realize the impact we have on others when we make such decisions. On the other hand, I think there is too much pressure put on those who are called to teach us – pastors. There is too much they have to live up to and probably can’t take the pressure. That is one of the problems in our modern churches when all is put on the pastor to do so much, to “BE” all that is needed from so many.

  16. M’Kayla,
I do believe persecution will bring about sanctification, and a further division between sheep and goats, a clear distinction between true Christians and the ones who will quickly fall away or deny the faith, as you said. But true believers I think will be drawn to seek God more and depend upon Him more, and this is bound to bring about sanctification, consecration, fervency, zeal, in short, all the things we are lacking today as a Body, and ultimately revival during the trib. Rev. speaks of a great multitude of saints who will be saved during the trib (Rev. 7:9-17), so how else could this happen unless there’s revival and massive evangelism going on at that time? I agree with everything you said, but as a corporate body of believers, I still think persecution will do wonders to purify and strenghen the church. This seems to be true also in countries where Christians are severely persecuted today. What we hear are reports of their zeal and faith and courage in face of such fierce opposition.

This is a very compelling subject that I am inclined to start a post. But at this point I would like to redirect the conversation here back to the topic of Bob Jones, false prophecy, msog, etc.

      Thanks! 🙂

  17. M: You suggested I come over here for the MSOG chat. I do see the NAR and MSOG (Joel’s army etc.) as being laced with greed. I’m not too sure why I would have to pay 600 bucks a year to be a registered prophet or spend 2000 bucks a year on trendy conferences for impartations and such.

Guess what, it’s not new. This behavior is mentioned by Paul to Constantine to 500 years of gnosticism (the elite gain the magical powers). Augustine (yup a catholic) brought us out of the pagan mysticism to a mysticism based on Platonic reason (yikes that was a short summary). All the way to New World shakers to quakers to the dowies to the mcphersons to the brenhams to the pentacosties to the 1st 2nd and 3rd wavers. All of this history is laced with greed, childishness and perversion. When a baptist preacher murders his wife, or his wife murders him. . To a Catholic sexual abuse, to methodist theft and embezzlement (heck even orthodox Hebrews were indicted in the largest money laundering scheme). Hank H (of “deception” fame) has been investigated for embezzlement and harassment.

I hate to steel your thunder, but the Bob Jones’ and Benny Hinns’ are not new under this sun. Neither are their followers who have accepted our Lord and will play 18 holes with me in heaven.

As to them proper, who knows?

M: Your questioning of this theology is 100% legit. Your answers will continue to be debated. 🙂

    • Plotinus, I don’t think you are willing to actually hear what the Word says about these false prophets and those who follow them. Without the Word there is no point in debate. Our own opinions can go on for an eternity and will not have changed the truth. If you feel you are safe in being around false prophets and teachers, the apostles and prophets of the NAR, MSOG, that is your decision, one between you and the Lord. As I have said, I have seen the demonic move in this, as many others have, some for decades. As you pointed out, this is not new. It has accumulated and it will continue to do so. Many of us believe these who speak falsely of the Lord constitute the antichrist.

The Word of God has been twisted, Jesus is the Word. God will not deal lightly with those who continue to deceive others nor those who continue to follow them. The lies of Bob Jones and all the others are relatively easy to spot. People who can read have no excuse to continue to follow them – none. But, their lack of ability to read is not the problem, it is their lack of desire to know the truth, the lack of love for the one true God. This is why I directed you to this article because it is so very easy to see.

It isn’t about my thunder, it is about judgment to come from the Most High God, who will judge rightly.

Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars will have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

All liars, so you may want to rethink that golf game.

No one, no one is ever going to be made complete when listening and following after these fools!

If we were to take the bible and teach a 5 year old, even a 3 year old what it teaches about the end times – very simply that Jesus is returning one day in bodily form and then let that child listen to this false prophet, what do you think the child would say? He would call him for what he was – wrong, a liar. He would say it very clearly and without hesitation or fear. That is the way children are. Most of the bible is simple to understand. It’s only when others come and twist it that it becomes hard and confusing. We need faith of a child, faith and belief and the guts to speak out.

  20. So by the 2040’s (IF we are still here, I suppose) man will be able to control the weather, and if they die they have the ability to raise themselves from the grave. No need for God then for these people, right? They become God! Sounds too much like the Luciferian thought to me. How can anyone take these occultists seriously?

    • It’s pretty scary – manifest sons of God who actually become Him. I don’t think the followers listen to these words while reading the bible. But that is the problem with those who claim to receive hidden knowledge.

    • Thanks JJ. Quite deceptive – taking scripture out of context for thier own purpose. Again, where’s the repentance, where’s Jesus and the gospel? NO where! The name of Jesus has been replaced with simply my Son and the Holy Spirit is now the Spirit. There is a obvious theme of war here, just like Rick Joyner spoke of. Crazy! How many will lose sons and daughters in this deception before they lose their own lives. I fear this is where we are headed.

Just stop this. God is judge NOT you or any other commenter on here or any other blog now or forever. Let’s just obey the WORD and love like we are commanded to by Jesus. We will be judged by every idle word and that means written. Please stop this. I know this is a post from 4 years ago in 2010 but if your still doing this stuff please stop it.

    • Seriously Jeff? Then how do you explain 1 Corinthians 14? We are called to judge prophets and prophecies, which Bob Jones claimed (falsely) to be/do. The problem in the church is the attitude that you display here – to keep silent. Sorry my friend, the writings of Paul tell us completely different. We are to expose, warn and get away! Wake up!
