Prayer Request

We have learned this afternoon that my husband’s son Steven was killed last in in Las Vegas.  We appreciate your prayers.

This is the story from the news report in Vegas and it’s about all the info we have so far.

  3. My heart is sick for you and your husband. What a terrible tragedy. I just lost my father, on Christmas Day. He died suddenly, just fell over dead so I have a little understanding of what you are going through. May the Lord Jesus stand by your side all the way thru and bless you in your grief.

  4. Thank you all so much for your prayer. We can feel them, the presence and peace of the Lord in this is so evident. It is my prayer that those who do not know Him, will see more of Him in these tragic events in our lives. Just to be a witness is what matters most.

Before our beloved Jessica died I was up praying for her. I knew there was trouble. I knew she was struggling. I told the Lord I would not know what to do without her. ……………..
The day she died, told Him, Lord you knew, you knew. And something in that truth changed everything.
Yesterday, I said the same to Him in Steven’s death. Lord you knew. And he too struggled. God knew this would happen.

There are not words – it is humbling, but it is also in this time of deep sorrow that we do find His strength. Oh, how much I see that I am nothing. He is God, He is life, He is love.

I will not be moderating for a week. We will be traveling to Vegas tomorrow. I don’t want to take my computer with all the airline hassles. You are in my hearts and my prayers too. Thank you all for being my friends!

Blessings and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ to all of you and your families.

  11. M’kayla, I just started following this blog a couple of weeks ago. I read about your daughter, and now this. But you are right on. God knew. And He knew you would need His comfort and He never leaves you or forsakes you. Praying for you at this time.
