Another great article from Kathleen exposing the dangers of the false prophetic movement, aka the Global Revival. (Don’t the words Global Revival just sound creepy???)
Let’s look at the teachings of scripture vs. the teaching in this revival.
2Timothy 4.1-4 says: I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
Now instead of heeding this warning, many of these ministers including Bill Johnson of Bethel, Mike Bickle of IHOP, Patricia King of the Extreme Prophetic, Rick Joyner of Morningstar Ministries, are not teaching young believers to learn scripture and learn to rightfully divide the Word of Truth. They teach them that it is more important to experience “God’s love” and to listen to what he is “saying today.” They are taught to listen for prophetic words spoken to them by trained prophets. To listen to those who have been trained to be “led by the spirit.” They teach that people who have been trained in the supernatural are now able to be led by a new spirit. A spirit that is so new and so different that no one has a written guide book for this new thing God is doing. Those who are acting upon this new revelation are the “Radical glory forerunners”.

These ministries teach and encourage believers to seek what God does for them – how God can make them feel, how God can benefit them etc. It is not about what God has done for us – ie became sin on our behalf so that we might become righteous in standing and be justified before Him. It is self-seeking mysticism and it is dangerous and can leave major problems.
You can listen to their worship songs and a lot of them portray this problem.
Anyway, praise God for eyes that He has opened and hearts He has mended. Got to love the saviour and His Word!!

I watched 3 minutes and that was all I could deal with. These people are so lost. This is not – not – not the Holy Spirit. It may well be a spirit, it may well be a movement, but none of it has anything to do with God. After all, one of the fruits is self control. Where is it here?

Thanks for posting this article. Incredible the number of false prophets but even more so the number of people following them . . . they will perish for a lack of love for the Truth – 2 Thess 2:10 My constant prayer is that the deception will be lifted from their eyes.

The scripture in Luke reads – 7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes will He find faith on the earth?
This is a false teaching from Mike Bickle that believers are to pray back or call back the King, meaning the second coming of Jesus. This scripture says no such thing. It’s not even close! And in their company is Cindy Jacobs a noted false prophet. So, if they go and preach this gospel, what gospel is it? If they go and disciple the nations, whose disciple will those following become? When they can’t get the prophecy correct, nor teach a simple scripture in context what will become of them? What does this say about them? Maybe they should take a look at the next scripture in Isaiah that says He (God) shall prevail against His enemies (v13).

So, if they go and preach this gospel, what gospel is it? It’s a demon doctrine to confuse God’s truth.
When they can’t get the prophecy correct, nor teach a simple scripture in context what will become of them? The Bible says, seven times God’s judgement for adding or taking away from it’s truthful text.
What does this say about them? It says, the IHOP doctrine is conceived from man, thus making it a lie from the devil.
So many Churches take the scriptures out of context and don’t bother reading the verses before and after the verse they pick to discern falsely. This is all a sign of the times. Jesus is coming soon.

I hope He is coming soon Richard. Things are getting quite ugly and I don’t like being considered by the public the same as the false teachers/prophets who call themselves Christians. Talk about the wheat and tares!

I wouldn’t worry about the false teachers saying our doctrine is false. We know the truth. Jesus said, blessed are you who will endure persecution for my name sake (Matthew 5:11). This the reason living a Christian life is no cake walk. These false Churches are in for a rude awakening in many ways. God is going to deal with these people for preaching a false doctrine to the children of God, and deceiving them (2 Peter 2:3 – Galatians 1:6-9). You just remain Faithful and keep sharing the true word of God, and everything else will fall into place (Revelation 2:10 – James 1:12). “Let not your heart be troubled”, the shed blood of Jesus is a shield for our mind, and the Holy Spirit will give us the power to discern the truth. (John 14:1 – Ephesians 6:10)
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth”. 2 Timothy 2:15.

For those interested in the historical background of Mike Bickle’s International House of Prayer, I have a new post on Kansas City Fellowship/Metro Vineyard Fellowship on Bob Jones, Paul Cain and John Wimber. I’m in possession of a “Spring Catalog ’90” with an accompanying ‘discontinued’ list of tapes/video most likely pulled in response to Ernie Gruen’s 233 page “Documentation of Aberrant Practices and Teachings of Kansas City Fellowship (Grace Ministries)” in which are quotes from tapes and teaching materials from KCF.
Listed are the full contents of the catalog with descriptions along with a request for these tapes for further research. Any help in this endeavor will be appreciated!
I was not aware that Leonard Ravenhill had attended conferences with the so-called Kansas City Prophets, Bickle, Rick Joyner, Francis Frangipane, etc.
The post mentions Bickle’s approval of both Cain and Jones — who’ve both taught and still teach Manifested Sons of God doctrine (MSoG) — as evidence of a free mp3 download on the IHOP site referring to them as “spiritual fathers”:
“The two men that have been my spiritual fathers in different ways and at different times — Bob Jones and Paul Cain. When I look over my 30 years plus of walking with the Lord those two men are significantly, clearly I would have to call my spiritual fathers through all these years.”

Day of Atonement
We are presently in God’s calendar, the most holy of all days of the year. Please read Leviticus 23:27-31. This is the day (time) of atonement. According to God’s calendar, we have completed a year and are now entering His new year. He has commanded that we take this time to repent by fasting and praying. We are to repent for any and all deeds done against Him and His Kingdom. The book of life is sealed after this season and is not opened again until another year has passed. It is imperative that we honor this all important time with searching our hearts and seeing if there is anything there that has displeased our Lord. It is also imperative that we bring a sacrificial offering at this time to show God how serious we are in our repentance. THIS CANNOT JUST BE ANY OFFERING BUT A SACRIFICIAL OFFERING to God. It must cost you something to be this type of offering.
We will observe this special time on God’s calendar this Saturday October 8 at 6:00 PM, also Sunday morning at the 10:30 service and Sunday evening at 6:00 PM. Bring your special offering to one of these three services. DO NOT NEGLECT THIS SPECIAL YOM KIPPUR OBSERVANCE. Apostle David Taylor will be ministering in the evening services and I, your Pastor, C. L. Johnston will be ministering in the Sunday morning service.
Repenting of sins between you and God
This will set the tone for your next 12 months. Let us have our best year ever together.

It has a bit of Chuck Pierce favor to it, huh? A bit of Joel Osteen -“your best life now”. Clearly NOT Christianity. What good is salvation if we act as tho it never happened? There is no glory for God in these words and unfortunate people will listen and follow along without a moment’s hesitation. All of us should immediately know this is wrong!
