just a thought

Today I caught a moment on CNN in which they were discussing an interview question pertaining to Obama’s Christianity. The push now is that he is indeed a Christian and has been for some time. Of course CNN made it look like those in the public who doubted his salvation, believing that he is Muslim, had something wrong in their heads.

This bugs me for 2 reasons –

1. Since when do we have to “convince” anyone that we are Christians?

2. Since when does the media give a rip about anyone’s Christianity?

There’s so much more I can say here, but I’m leavin’ it at that.

Just thinkin’…

  1. First off I think anyone that is still left that believes Obama to be anything other than Muslim is a fool. Read his books. If you cannot ascertain this fact own your own than really you are a lost cause. Second, CNN is nothing more than a propaganda machine for the far left radicals / progressives / Democratic Party. Third, i agree with you, who needs to prove it other than Obama?

  2. Take a look at this comment from the President as stated in that interview:

“This is a country that is still predominantly Christian, but we have Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists” and others, he said, adding that “their own path to grace is one that we have to revere and respect as much as our own, and that is part of what makes this country what it is.”

    • From Cheryl’s link above –

Albuquerque, New Mexico (CNN) — An event billed as a discussion on the economy turned personal Tuesday when a woman asked President Barack Obama about his Christian faith and views on abortion.

The question came at a town hall-style meeting in the yard of an Albuquerque home as part of Obama’s public outreach to explain his policies and campaign for Democrats in the November congressional elections.

With a recent survey showing that only a third of Americans can correctly identify Obama as a Christian, the president gave a personal account of his conversion as an adult and how his public service is part of his faith.

“I am a Christian by choice,” Obama began, standing beneath a blazing sun, when asked why he is a Christian.

“I came to my Christian faith later in life, and it was because the precepts of Jesus Christ spoke to me in terms of the kind of life that I would want to lead,” Obama said. “Being my brothers’ and sisters’ keeper. Treating others as they would treat me. And I think also understanding that, you know, that Jesus Christ dying for my sins spoke to the humility that we all have to have as human beings.”

Humans are “sinful” and “flawed” beings that make mistakes and “achieve salvation through the grace of God,” the president continued, adding that we also can “see God in other people and do our best to help them find their, you know, their own grace.”

“So that’s what I strive to do,” Obama said. “That’s what I pray to do everyday. I think my public service is part of that effort to express my Christian faith.”

At the same time, Obama emphasized his belief that freedom of religion is “part of the bedrock strength” of the United States.

Note by me – These statements are close, but not quite the truth of Christianity. He doesn’t even get the basics right. Why? More than likely he is simply repeating something he has been told.

“This is a country that is still predominantly Christian, but we have Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists” and others, he said, adding that “their own path to grace is one that we have to revere and respect as much as our own, and that is part of what makes this country what it is.”

The same questioner also asked Obama about regulations on early and late-term abortion, a politically charged issue in the abortion debate.

Obama responded that abortion should be “safe, legal and rare” in America, adding that families — not the government — “should be the ones making the decision.”

Restrictions against late-term abortion are in place now, he said, adding that “people still argue and disagree about it. That’s part of our Democratic tradition.”

Note by me (God said do not murder).

On September 19, Obama publicly attended church for the first time in nearly six months when the first family joined the 9 a.m. service at St. John’s Church Lafayette Square, an Episcopal congregation about a block from the White House.

The family sat a few rows from the altar, among roughly 40 worshippers. Each family member received communion, led by the president.

Me again. What qualifies the US President who just popped into church one day to give communion?

A survey conducted in late July and early August by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life found that nearly one in five Americans believe Obama is a Muslim, up from around one in 10 Americans who said he was Muslim last year.

The number of Americans who expressed uncertainly about the president’s religion, meanwhile, is much larger and has also grown, including among Obama’s political base. For instance, fewer than half of Democrats and African-Americans now say that Obama is Christian.

According to the Pew survey released last month, most of those who think Obama is Muslim are Republicans, but the number of independents who believe he is Muslim has expanded significantly, from 10 percent last year to 18 percent this summer.

In March 2009, 36 percent of African-Americans said they didn’t know what religion Obama practices. Now, 46 percent of African-Americans say they don’t know, according to the survey.

  3. One thing I’ve learned about “Obama & the media” is that they seem to work in unison with one another… The press works to get the American eyes OFF of where they “should be” focused…

Never mind Obama’s Christianity or lack thereof. What is going on that the press really doesn’t want us seeing?

Anyone with eyes and a brain knows he’s not a Christian despite him being a member of Jeremiah Wright’s church for years. [Jeremiah Wright says the GD word in the pulpit and talks about how evil white people are!] I mean comon’ – give me a break. If Wright was white saying this about blacks, we’d be stringing him up for being KKK….

…but the MEDIA doesn’t focus on this AT ALL…

I’m certain that the ONLY reason the media would be focusing in on whether or not he’s a Christian is because they want the American eyes taken OFF of something else.

ABC, NBC, CBS, Public radio – all of them are so far left it’s a joke. And then here comes FOX and who’s big? Mormon Glenn Beck. I’m telling you, it’s 6 of one and a 1/2 dozen of the other.

    Is Obama a Christian? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha

  4. Keep in mind that CNN is still (last I checked) owned by Ted Turner, a staunch New Ager and Gaia (earth) worshiper who made the following famous quote (which, although misquoted mostly on the internet, I have this verified as I have the magazine from which it’s quoted in my personal collection):

…If we had a much smaller population, and over time we could have an ethic where we had only one child, and over maybe 300 or 400 years we could cut back to 250 million – 350 million people…

This quote is from the Nov/Dec 1991 issue of Audobon magazine. Please note that just the population of the US currently exceeds 300 million and the world population is almost 7 billion. New Agers have a word for this — “unsustainable.”

    • The owner of CNN is none other than media powerhouse Time Warner. Although Time Warner is the current owner as of 2010, Ted Turner of Turner Broadcasting System initially created the Cable News Network – http://answers.yourdictionary.com/business/who-owns-cnn.html

Interestingly, Time Warner is the same company who buys up rights to contemporary Christian music on all of those already over-played, over-heard, over-recorded songs (just so everyone can get a piece of the cash pie) and sells them in packaged deals to Christians for “worship”. A little off my own topic here, but this is something that has always bugged me.

    • HI Craig.
I need to say here that I wasn’t trying to correct you. I went looking because I thought Anderson Cooper was involved as an owner of CNN. Then I got sidetracked with the Time Warner rant. Sorry. I would not doubt one bit that these owners are evil minded and practice other beliefs. I believe my friend Redeemed Hippie had some stuff on her blog about population control. I believe there is truth that many over us wish to downsize.

None of these people care anything about the truth whether it be Jesus Christ OR the news they report. It’s all about the money. Once upon a time journalism was a very risky business because it was about getting the truth out there regardless of personal cost. The journalists of long ago took their lives into their own hands as well as their reputations and jobs. You won’t find that much these days. (I recently watched All The President’s Men , a true story of Watergate reporting made in the 70’s- wow!)

  5. No, I wasn’t thinking you were trying to correct me (however, if I’m wrong on something I expect to be corrected); so, no harm done.

As Constance Cumbey pointed out in one of her books the media has been complicit in the liberal take over of our country. This was pointed out by Shirley McLaine — a staunch New Ager — in her book Out on a Limb.

Depopulation is still talked about although not as openly as it used to be.

  6. What did Christ say, “Yea, shall know my people by their fruits” honestly, Obama does he really think Christians are going to buy this just to get their votes. He plays footies from all side. What a scumbag. P.S. I Realize their are Christian who have no discernment at all and will vote for anything.

  7. Mkayla, I’m glad you posted this. I think it is obama’s way (and the Luciferians who are in media and in government) way of setting up what they think Christianity to look like. The thought of obama being my keeper sickens me. The thought of a lying doctrine setting up an image of Jesus and His ways for us to bow to, sickens me. The thought of being FORCED to be the keeper of others, sickens me. Nowhere in the bible is this taught. Nowhere. Not in the way that obama made it sound. I thought it odd he used the words of a murderer (Cain) to somehow convince us of his validity. Obama couldn’t convince me of his “christianity” if he was the last one on earth. I wonder how many within the church will swallow his garbage and dance around it and proclaim him as more than he is.

He doesn’t even know what a Christian is. And another thing he calls himself a christian after what he wants to do to Isreal. Yea, right he’s the LIAR the WH has ever had. And they have had some pretty good liars.

  9. Hank wrote that anyone who believes Obama is anything other than a Muslim is a fool.

    Count me a great fool.

I think Obama is a Marxist. A central tenant of Marxism is atheism. This would make him an atheist who happens to have pro-muslim sentiments.

Isn’t it interesting though that Peter and Paul, who suffered under the likes of Nero, admonished us under the movement of the Holy Spirit to pray for our leaders?

    • Hi Jim G. I think he was comparing the claim to be Christian against the obvious stance of Muslim. Obama is very dangerous to our country. I’ve heard him referred to as a Marxist and as a Socialist. Personally, some time back I asked the republican party to impeach him. They asked for money. Imagine! 🙂

You are so correct, we are supposed to pray for our leaders. Thanks for the reminder. No matter who is in office, we still bear the witness of Christ.

      Blessings.

  10. More Things to Consider

This bugs me for 2 reasons –

Q1. Since when do we have to “convince” anyone that we are Christians?

A1: In today’s world, identification with the title “Christian” is taken by many non-Christians. Freemasons, Muslims who are mandated by the Quran to deceive the infidels so as to take dominion over them, Mormons, JWs, and other Christian Kabbalist groups, GLBT gay “Christians” such as those led by homosexual Troy Perry and the Metropolitan Community Church, ELCA Lutherans, Episcopalian/Anglicans whose leaders like “Bishop” Gene Robinson or Druid Archbiship Rowan in the UK, etc. all fool 10s of 1000s of people daily into believing their beliefs and practices are representative of orthodox Christianity.

Scripture saith, “Many are called but few are chosen.” Is NOLR “Bishop” Eddie Long and the congregants at New Birth Baptist doing a good job at proving they are Christians before God and man? Hardly…

Is illegal alien Obama doing a good job proving he is Christian by spending over $2M in legal expenses covering up his his real place of birth, his college records, etc.? Is the Obama team proving they are a legitimate expression of Christianity by physically removing any mention of God from direct quotes of our founding fathers? Hardly…

“Now ‘under God’ dropped from Gettysburg Address!: ‘We now have positive evidence they know exactly what they are doing'”
    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=210701

Q2. Since when does the media give a rip about anyone’s Christianity?

A2: The media is run by globalist corporations that stand to make $Trillions from new science and technology. Products and services that include cloning and creating new hybrid patented plants and animals are being held back by American, Canadian, and Western European Christians whose biblical-based values and morals are encoded into law that prevents. The media needs to tear down Christianity so the globalists can introduce their new occult products and services. “Gender Reassignment Surgery” and the cloning of Lesbians and re-classify them as a race is just the beginning. Just think M’Kayla, in the interest of “saving ‘Mother Earth’, you could sell off your body parts on the open market and then have your head bioelectrically mated to a machine.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isolated_brain

Man’s insatiable desire for immortality and to become a god is now in the foreseeable future (according to the lens they use for defining “god” and “immortality”). Yes, the media really does give a rip about who and what is a Christian since they have demonstrated with $Trillions of dollars spent in an ongoing effort to re-define who and what a Christian is. The Obama presidency is nothing more than one of their utopian experiments in a desperate attempt to change the world’s perception of what a Christian is. This is accomplished in many ways. Two are predominant:
    1) To force Americans to believe Obama really is a Christian by his declaration only while demonstrating in deeds and acts that he is anything but a Christian.
    2) To weaken Christianity as a whole by ignoring real Christians who are speaking out that Obama is a fraudulent Christian. In other words, if the media and Obama say he is a Christian, then what they say trumps the Bible that speaks otherwise. Same with NOLR leaders Eddie Long, Ted Haggard, Paul Cain, Brian Tamaki (New Zealand, Earl Paulk, Skull + Bones member George Bush, etc. etc. The Bible says all these people, including Islam shill Barry Soetaro are headed for the Lake of Fire:

    Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Just because Orrin Hatch and Mitt Romney and Glenn Beck wave the American Flag and speak patriotically about God and Country, they still wear magic Mormon (Kabbalist underwear) and will never enter Heaven unless they renounce their involvement in the occult (Mormon LDS, Freemasonry) before they die. Same with the Jews, Mohammedans, Buddhists, JWs, Roman Catholics, New Agers, Hindus, atheists (worshipping science and human evolution, etc. Jesus message still rings out as unchanged as does His offer for eternal life with God instead of eternal life in hellfire with the devil. You’d better believe the media gives a damn about who and what a Christian is, especially those who take their Christianity seriously enough to live it out and post a blog like this one.

Thanks for all of that information. It is very interesting how all of this is coming together. Creepy too, esp that thing about my head on a machine. That really chilled me. I know that whatever we will face it will be the Lord that causes us to stand and bear up under it. Without Him we are toast.

  11. Hi Mkayla
I think President Obama is an example of the “New Christian” that we are meant to emulate. Inclusive, tolerant, valuing other faith traditions as much as our own. Big government is god and heaven is a socialist utopia on earth paid for by taxing the populace. The main ones who don’t fit into this religious lovefest are the nasty, exclusive, intolerant, bible believing extremists. You know followers and worshippers of Jesus

  12. Glenn, you have hit the nail on the head. “Government” has taken the place of God. Instead of being able to give freely and cheerfully, I am forced to give, by the government (who is supposed to be my servant) to unworthy people and causes.
Instead of being able to freely preach the gospel, the government is calling what we have to say “hate speech”. Almost everything that a Christian who is led by the Holy Spirit would do or not do is a matter that is legislated now. Our communications media are saturated with the message of tolerance. And for the powers that be, tolerance means “you’d better tolerate this or else”.
I would never hurt another person on purpose. But there are plenty of people lined up who would like to take a swing at me. Mostly “tolerance” people.
