In Blindness and In Rebellion

Remember this –

Someone brought this to my attention the other day –

I’ve already posted this in a comment –

This is demonic possession. It is time to stop fooling around and dancing around the things that have become so clear. It is bad enough to see grown men and women (of which I was one) do these things. We already know it has spread into the youth because of the long-standing and heretical Joel’s Army. But, oh, these are small children, still babies!

False doctrine breeds heresy.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting.; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness, they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteousness judgement of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

Matthew 18:4 “Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

:6 Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Have we lost a fear of God? I believe so. People who practice these things  no longer consider the truth in scripture. Even those who do not do these things, encourage those who do and make excuses for them, twisting the scriptures to say things they do not. They are just as blind as those who do, and in rebellion just the same.

This is madness.

Consider the second video in which these little children are laying hands on grown men who fall to the floor. In a previous conversation with another, I was given the following scriptures to support these goings on.

Please also take the time to read the surrounding scriptures to see the context. It is important to see the details.

Rev.1:17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.”

This is an account of John who was a disciple of Jesus, exiled for his faith to the island of Patmos. John is receiving a vision of things to come  – aka the book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel 1:28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. So when I saw it, I fell on my face and I heard a voice of One speaking.

Let’s look at the next section, Chapter 2:1 And He said to me, Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak to you.

Daniel 8:17,18 So he came near where I stood and when he came I was afraid and fell on my face; but he said to me; “Understand, son of man, that the vision refers to the time of the end.” 18 Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my face to the ground; but he touched me, and stood upright.

All of these men were taken into supernatural experiences for God’s purposes.  When they fell, it was out of fear. What happened? They were told to not fear. They were made to stand upright. These were not just experiences of visions or visitations, but were important meetings to establish words of scripture!

They were not children.

They were not women.

They were not aided by another human.

They were not anointed with manufactured oil.

No one laid hands on them.

No one blew thier stinky breath on them.

No one waved their arms or jumped up and down in front of them.

They were not in meetings, conferences or gatherings.

They had not been in extended ecstatic worship.

No one taught them these things in classrooms or organized training.

What was the direction in which they fell? Forward – on their faces.

These events were initiated by God, not men.

Let me stress one more time – grown men, not children, not children, not children.

Now, if you cannot see the difference between the happenings in the videos and the scriptures here by my writing and the points I have made, and you believe you are born again, then I urge you to repent for your blindness and your rebellion to God. The differences are like night and day.

  1. Strange how nobody in these groups has had a “vision” of a millstone being tied around their neck. 😉 The kids are so obviously imitating what they’ve seen the adults do. Did that boy say, “Bamm!”? Tattoos, false teaching, and adultery to follow! As a Children’s Minister and Father, I couldn’t be more upset at this teaching. What a mess.

  2. I noticed this video also:

It flies in the face of Philippians 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord Always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Their actions appear to be a corporate temper tantrum – like the ones Todd Bentley used to display:

    • Lord of the Flies – the movie. I never noticed before, but this music has a very dark sound to it. I used to love rock and roll, but this is like the music of Black Sabbath.

These people do not know Jesus Christ. You are right, it is much like tantrums, out of control children who do what they want.

  3. One of the horrible, ugly realities that I had to face when God brought me out of the charismatic movement was that I had exposed my daughter to this kind of heresy because of my own involvement all of those years. I still grieve over that-years that can never be regained that I could have spent leading her in the way of the truth of God. The only consolation I have at this point is that she is no longer involved with this mess-she is at a point now where she even questions the reality and existence of God-but, I would rather her be where she is at now, and I believe the Spirit has greater opportunity to lead her to God’s Truth in her present condition, than if she were still caught up in this delusion. How sad to do this to our children-to have to stand before God someday and answer for opening up these young hearts as a doorway to demonic infestation.

    • Deb, was your daughter born again? Because if she was, the Lord won’t leave her. He brings us back. And even if not, He is still mighty to save. AGREED! 🙂

  4. The next generation, wow, I’m all for teaching and preparing our children for the work of the Lord but rearing them up in false doctrine and practices is only going to cause the apostasy we are seeing today grow exponentially in the next decade. As the Word of God is slipped under the covers, these children don’t stand a chance of knowing truth, that is unless God Himself convicts them. I hope that will be the case, Please Lord, have mercy on us!

  5. Another day , another opportunity to sink to a new low. Where does this stuff end!
Watching those couple of vids reminded me of chpts 8,9 and 10 of Ezekiel , probably the most profound passages that I have recently read. The sub headings in my bible for each chapter read as such,
    Abominations in the Temple

    Idolators Killed

The Glory of the Lord Leaves the Temple

    • Thanks Ray. I’m going to have a look at those with that in mind. Sorry to sink you. I just could not believe the things I was watching and had to get them out there. The children!

  6. mkayla, many years ago, when I was still in the fundamentalist church, when she was 3 years old, we had a conversation one day in which she asked me what sin was. From that conversation she prayed for God to forgive her and for Jesus to come into her heart. I believe the prayer was genuine, but the exposure to what was false has certainly been used against her by the enemy. She has also been wounded emotionally by the leadership in the last charismatic church she attended. But I know God is still able and I know that the Word teaches us when our lives are right with Him, He hears and answers our prayers! I lean on that promise!

  7. mklayla,

Whilst I believe that Rob DeLuca is seriously deluded (or worse), I do not attribute the manifestations in his congregation to anything other than the same psychological trickery that I’ve commented on before. His church has a track record in this area, and the people will have been conditioned (over a long time) to believe that that Holy Spirit will come on them and make them do weird things when they are prayed for. They will also have been told that the children have a “special anointing” for this. Prior to the events seen in the video, there will have been what you call “extended ecstatic worship” which will have hypnotised the congregation and made them particularly suggestible. Note the music in both clips – gentle stuff in the first one but horrible (punk rock?) screaming in the one plumb posted – it all works to manipulate people.

I agree with the reference to millstones round necks. It’s not nice to see such lovely children being indoctrinated by this heresy and deception. I’m sure it makes God cry.

    • We aren’t going to continue the hypnosis discussion here. The information has some value, but it is not truly biblical. At the bottom of hypnosis is Satan – period. When God looks at the people committing abominations He does not consider the people to have been hypnotized. He sees them worshiping and following other gods. See Ezekiel 8.

    • I know what you mean. I have been watching these videos for 3 years after having had been a part of it. I’ve seen enough. They are very hard for me to watch and I only did so with these because I wanted to bring it to the attention of others. It says a lot that the children practice the same things as the parents. In addition, I there is something foul when a child touches a grown man and he falls. It does not sit well with me.

  8. Sadly I know people in my congregation who would probably push for some of this stuff to happen in our services. And why is it that almost invariably when I watch videos out of Bethel Church in Redding that there is very little Bible quoted.?It is mostly story telling about angels and visitations and well, you saw what was in the one from there.

    • Bill Johnson, along with many others, believes supernatural experience is of more value than the word of God. This is the reason we do not hear much about it while he is speaking. Sure, he will quote one or two passages, he’ll find some obscure scripture in the old testament to prove this or that can happen. He’ll use examples like Ezekiel or Daniel or even past revivals – ahem – to make those words of his to sound like he is super spiritual and knows what he is talking about. He is a liar and brings nothing of the gospel or of Christ to his meetings. It is just a way for him to make an easy living and a quite nice one at that.

  9. mkayla, I agree that what we see on these videos can be considered idolatry. What the people believe to be the Holy Spirit is not – it is a false god. They are in major error. I have no problem with that.

An interesting question is the extent to which the people are responsible. They have been deceived, primarily because Rob DeLuca has brought deception and false teaching into his church. The Bible makes it clear that pastors and teachers are held to a higher standard than the rest of us, but I feel the congregation (including kids) are victims.

  10. M’Kayla,
Very weird stuff…. people of NO discernment will accept anything. I don’t think all of it is demon possion, though. Lots of it is just soul expressions (as opposed to Holy Spirit). The release of the soul can look demonic. The music in the first video sounded very demonic though.

    Like

    • Yes, we can all agree there are many things going on. Still I believe deception to be the work of Satan as it comes in various forms. I often used the word – demonic – in that way. I don’t necessarily mean -possession- as much as I do – influence-. What is to become of a person when God gives then over to do their will? Possession or no, they are still lost and take many people with them.

  11. yes I agree with you Anastasis to a point: everyone tied up in this could be considered a victim- that is, when you could say they are young in faith & do not know the word of God well enough to be able to discern for themselves. but on the other hand the way things appear at the moment it is the seasoned long standing Christians who are promoting this stuff. certainly in the UK my observation is that its Leaders who seem to be the ones plugging in to it ( Bethel particularly) & promoting to it their people…

there seems to be kind of a peer pressure thing going on: we have more signs & wonders than you guys- more evidence of “the glory” etc etc.. testimony time is a big event now which spreads to facebook/ twitter & other media whereby the Leader has links with other leaders from all over the UK & so it spreads with the click of the key – this competition for greater glory! & if you listen the language is always; MORE there is never any satisfaction or contentment – “the glory train is always chugging”

    people are being told:
” jump in the river” “plug in” “press in” “dig deep” & if they dont or wont or dont get it they are told either directly or indirectly that they are “not in the flow” “not in renewal” & made to feel not quite right – on the fringe of what God is doing — “its the presence & power of God why would you want to resist it?” we want more & more – drink drink drink….& drink!

no one it seems stops to ask any questions – what should Gods presence really feel like according to biblical experience? what is renewal/ revival & what does that look like how do we know when its arrived? when we have pressed in what does that look like & what happens next? no one knows & know one can say – but theres plenty of judgement going on for for those who dont appear to manifesting anything in their life.. & when to think thats Gods business alone – HE is the one who judges the heart

where is there an outpouring of deep repentance, confession of sin & brokenness with humilty?

we have got to the stage now where individuals are calling down /commanding/demanding God’s Glory to come visit (not asking or requesting) as if we can order the precious gentlemanly Holy spirit around & no one it seems bats one eye lid – just whoooas of agreement all round

& the bottom line is this: if longstanding – trusted – leaders cant, wont & dont discern what’s wrong here then their people feel totally powerless & sometimes fearful when they realise something’s is wrong & are not able to address it for fear of being labelled divisive/rebellious or whatever else. people do tend to follow their leadership & trust that any major error would be addressed – thats the whole pull of feeling safe & belonging to a church family. so people conclude that it must be OK & follow along.

on top of that if the same leadership are promoting culture of honour & covenant relationships any feedback or comments that may adjust or challenge the happy equilibrium of this Pseudo “unity” – any (perceived) negativity or questioning is seen as a threat to be stopped in its tracks before the same fears spread church wide. people are being told: where will you go then – if you leave us? as X & X & X church down the road is also teaching & adopting the same things we are – so a) it must be of God & b) you have an attitude problem – we are right & you are in the wrong

yes churches town wide are adopting this stuff in the name of unity & because Bethel (mostly)- through the ministry of their “Global Legacy” arm have an active deliberate plan to promote revival culture in local areas- all is required is 2 or 3 church leaders in a town to buy into this stuff – bring their leadership & church into 110% & the touch paper is lit.

    strange fire!

  12. Hi M’Kayla,

What struck my heart was the video of the little girl calling down the “glory”. She goes into a temper tantrum (screaming at God!) & the whole crowd is eating it up! Then the guitar guy screaming his demand! If this isn’t displeasing to the Holy Spirit, I don’t know what is. When those little children get full approval & accolades for doing this stuff, what kind of future do they have in the Lord. I have been in the Pentecostal family since I’ve been three…rededicating my life fully to the Lord in my 20’s, BUT…have we have gone over the edge in some churches?…I believe that answer is yes! In demanding more, more & more of God’s presence, MORE is never enough.

  13. Katie, the little girl is undoubtedly copying what she has seen adults do on many previous occasions. If kids grow up in this type of environment, they will be programmed with a false view of faith and it will be very difficult to break this. Not good at all.

BTW, if you look on Rob DeLuca’s web site, he’s started a church in California, even though his original church is in New Zealand. Lots of free flights for him and his family, then. And why California – there’s loads of churches there already. Perhaps the sun and sand had something to do with it… or was it the wealth of the locals?

  14. Hey Mkayla!
Just wanted to say that the videos are definitely showing how far off some churches have gone. The pagan worship one is very scary. O_O
But I just wanted to let you know that I am extremely thankful for your blog, as it has helped me see the error in most of these big “revivals”.
“Charisma vs. Charismania” by Pastor Chuck Smith is actually a very good resource and discusses a lot of the topics that you have brought up in your blog. It is also backed up with the Bible. God bless you for standing up for truth! 😀

  16. M’Kayla,
I couldn’t watch most of these videos. I start and it just makes me so sad, especially the stuff with the children. They are like the children being offered to Molech. I found this off ibethel store. It is a part of their children’s curriculum and simplifies BJ’s “born again” Jesus, smeared with the Holy Spirit teachings.

    Click to access lesson6smeared.pdf

The following are portions from the downloadable sample of lesson 6 “Smeared With God” from the “Kid’s Carrying the Kingdom” curriculum available on ibethel:

Pg 2: “We have recently discovered that: *we have been given a royal mission to bring Heaven to earth. *Jesus had the same Royal Mission.*Jesus could not do any miracles without God’s power; that’s why He was Baptized in the Holy Spirit.*We can have the same power of the Holy Spirit as well.”

(NOTE: So, Jesus had the same royal mission as you and I? Really? This is satan’s voice in the garden…you shall be as Him….)

Pg 6: “Smeared by a Friend” (Note: an illustration using a person dressed in white robe as the Holy Spirit and peanut butter….states the following in the Preparation: “make sure volunteers are not allergic to peanut butter”….so much for healing and faith in God’s power)

From the teaching session: “The anointing of the Holy Spirit scares the devil and his Kingdom of Darkness. He will do anything he can to stop the anointing. He tried when Jesus was on earth, and that is why the religious leaders had Jesus put to death.”

(NOTE: Jesus was put to death because the devil is trying to stop the anointing? Where is the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world? Where is the Good Shepherd who lays down His own life for the sheep?)

Pg 7: “In a soaking atmosphere, lead the children in inviting the presence of the Holy Spirit…..Tell Him that we want to be just like Jesus, that we want to do the same things Jesus did and that we want the same anointing. Let’s invite the Holy Spirit to smear us with Himself….”

  17. This is so freaky. 😦 You cannot teach someone to prophesy!!! You teach people to “cold read” and in a demonic “blue” atmosphere of Bethel I’m sure a familiar spirit just eats this stuff up to influence people and get them more entrenched in this doctrinal error.

Yep the place is chaos (as she says) because its non-scriptural. This stuff is so sad. You can’t release destinies over people! THERE IS NO SUCH THING!!!!

Its really awful since I think kids can pray and should pray for others, but not this metaphysical Joel’s Army weirdness.

The mindset of a 3 year old is to brainwash them in latter-rain teachings.. :/ immersed in a culture of brainwashing…no true doctrine- lack of teaching on hell, feel-good garbage theology…
