The Lord is Mighty

Praise God!

So as we relearn the things which we should have from the beginning, we do well to realize the power and position of the mighty Lord in relation to the deceitfulness of satan, gaining a new perspective in the battle! The Lord is God!

Ephesians 1~

15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

22 And he put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things which is the church,

23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

The Lord is God! Is there anything He cannot do? He is mighty to save!

  1. Mkayla,
I’ve been praying to God that I will never lose my “first love” in the midst of this battle. Thank you for the timely reminder to “relearn the things which we should have from the beginning.” I’ve noticed that we seem to get so engaged in the battle w/ evil sometimes that we tend to lose our focus on the reason we wrestle in the first place.
A lot of things are “up in the air” right now, since I’ve stirred up the hornets nest. My first article submission was printed this week in our local news paper concerning the Pregnancy Centers ecumenism and the subtle indoctrination into the spiritually dangerous prayer and counseling techniques beginning to be employed with clients. Pray with me that eyes will be opened as I expose the darkness seeping down to these very vulnerable clients. My heart breaks for them. God bless you.

  2. Mkayla,
The newspaper website is jpinews.com. Then you link to The Barren County Progress. You can go into archives and find this weeks issue. The article is on the second page, it took up half the page! The funny thing is, the heading they put over the article read “Volunteer speaks out on behalf of Crossroads Preg. Cnt. (up above that there’s a picture of a wolf—ironic huh)
If you think back, I wrote you about how God had opened up an opportunity for me to speak the truth—-that was because a pro-choice protester had written an article against the Preg. Cnt. So I tied in my response to that article— as a type of pro-life stance mixed w/ info. on ecumenism, etc. I didn’t write anything in an angry manner, (“the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God”) just straight to the point—–gospel centered. Look forward to your feedback. God bless!

  3. Hi M’Kayla, (& others)!
Just wanted to share something that relates to this. My younger daughter got saved about a year ago, at the age of 19. The little fellowship we are a pert of has a few Bill Johnson/Bethel fans, which has made my life over the last year or so ‘interesting’, as you can imagine. Especially as Emily is very close to most of them. It has been very hard at times to try and watch out for her spiritual well-being, without alienating her or her friends, but God has been graciously teaching me to hold my peace and to speak a word in season. Sometimes I just have to say nothing and pray, trusting that the Holy Spirit will lead her into all truth. Easy to say, not so easy to do! Tonight, after church, Em & I had dinner with a young couple who are her closest friends & our conversation covered some of the issues surrounding deception in the church, as the visiting speaker preached on that. The Lord graciously gave me the words to say in what turned out to be a wonderful time of fellowship, where we didn’t mention B J or Bethel, but did talk about some other false teachers (such as Benny Hinn) & I was able open up the scriptures relating to such things in a way I could never have engineered myself. There was lots I could’ve said but didn’t, as I felt the Lord’s lead and really just answered questions they began to ask me. I would like to ask you to pray for these dear people, as I believe the Lord is beginning to open the way for me to share the truth with them. Something that has been on my heart since I first became aware of their infatuation with Bethel’s teachings. I can’t emphasis enough the importance and truthfulness of the message above & I want encourage you to grasp that God is in control and we don’t have to strive with this, but pray and ask Him to provide the wherewithal to speak the truth and contend for the faith in His time and He will give us the wisdom to know when to speak and what to say. I am learning grace and patience, which is not easy for me, but vital if I’m to truly be a follower of Him and not just argumentatively trying to convince people that I’m right.
    God Bless,
    Alan.

  4. Mkayla,
Sorry you couldn’t get into the newspaper. I don’t even live in Barren Co. but I am able to go straight thru to the archives, even without a prescription. I tried to send the page to you, from the site but I had to have a valid e-mail address.
—–maybe I can figure out how to get it on there. I’m still new to all this technology. Any blog advice?

    • You will not believe this. This morning I was thinking about your article AND wondered if you would be interested in starting your own blog and here you are. Wonderful.

I do a lot of copy and paste, but I think wordpress has a better system. My advice is to go to the help section and watch their videos. They are quite helpful, short, and to the point. They’ve helped me.

I’ll be popping over to read your stuff! Praise God for your “voice”!
