Todd Bentley denied…yippeeeee

Just to let you know that Todd Bentley has recently twitted (twitted??..twittered??) he has been DENIED entry to the UK.

I know people who contacted their governments with great concern of his visits and this very well could be in response to those requests!

Hooray for the UK and thanks to the Lord for answered prayer. I hope and pray that he is denied entry on a permanent basis!

  1. “Then the LORD said to me, ‘Take again the equipment of a foolish shepherd. For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy, but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hoofs’.” (Zech 11:15)

Thank you, LORD, for sparing a few more sheep.

Expressing his disappointment on the Facebook page of his church, Fresh Fire USA, Bentley wrote: “They have no legal basis for their accusation. I did all their visa process and fingerprinting and security. This decision was made before any of my application was processed. It is based on internet, media and false perception they have not followed up on. I think this is big news!

I say, come on over to my house Todd. We (and my readers) will show you in the bible where you are wrong about what you teach, preach and write about. But I suspect you already know that and are representing someone else.

  2. I’m sure he was somewhat astonished at his being disallowed to enter into the UK. But I’m sure that’s due to the “celebrity” in him. A lot of big names of gotten the proverbial slap in the face lately. Maybe God will use it to help bring them to repentance.

UNITAS…Unitas Fratrum is the Global Moravian Church…This off the US website:

    http://www.moravian.org

“The Moravian Church is a worldwide denomination. Moravians led the Protestant World Mission movement in the early 1700’s, when they sent the first missionaries to the islands of the Caribbean. By the end of the 18th Century, there were Moravian mission stations scattered all around the world. Today, the worldwide Unity is divided into nineteen provinces.

The official name for the Worldwide Moravian Church is The Unitas Fratrum. Below are links to Moravians around the globe.

The Unitas Fratrum (The Worldwide Moravian Church)

    The Unity Board

    Worldwide Unity Provinces

    Worldwide Mission Provinces

    Worldwide Mission Areas”

They are a highly ecumenical church (according to their own website).

“Moravians number nearly a million worldwide and stand in the mainstream of Protestantism. They have been members of the World Council of Churches since its inception. They are also active members of the National Council of Churches of Christ in the U.S.A. and participants in Christian Churches Together in the USA. In addition, the Northern and Southern Provinces of the Moravian Church are in full communion relationships with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) and the Episcopal Church, and in a covenant partnership with the Presbyterian Church (USA).”

That kind of speaks for itself.

Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any over her plagues.” (Rev 18:4)

I will have to set some time aside to go through the info. I never got into Joyner/Morningstar much so I didn’t do the research there. However, he is an important figure in the things that are taking place against Christ.

“The Pope, Bishop of Rome and Peter’s successor, “is the perpetual and visible source and foundation of the unity both of the bishops and of the whole company of the faithful.” “For the “Roman Pontiff, by reason of his office of Vicar of Christ, and as pastor of the entire Church has full, supreme, and universal power over the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise unhindered.” No. 882 “Catechism of the Catholic Church–second edition”

“Vicar” means substituting for or in place of.

    Titles for the pope:
    Supreme Pontiff
    Vicar of Christ
“Pastor of the universal church on earth” (who according to No. 937, enjoys, by divine institution, “supreme, full immediate, and universal power in the care of souls”)

Pope Pius IX, 1854, declaration of the Imacculate Conception of Mary (i.e., Mary was incarnate of the Holy Spirit as well as Jesus). 1870, same pope set in place the doctrine of papal infallibility.

Maybe Rick Joyner should sent Todd Bentley to the Vatican. BAM!

“I would like to ask our friends and partners to read below the story and my brief statement regarding misrepresentation in the media and on social media blogs. I realize most of you that love, follow and support our ministry know this story is a huge misrepresentation of who we are and how we regularly pray for healing. We are not violent nor do we promote violence. I do not expect a secular audience or even many Christians to understand these isolated moments of healing through a gift of faith. No one was injured during this account.

While operating in the gift of faith, I felt I was to kick a woman in the face as a step of obedience. I do not understand it but she was healed and not injured! This is one of several isolated accounts where I have prayed in an unorthodox manner for individuals, but I do not consider it violence when no one is injured and it is the gift of faith operating. The media has interpreted a one-time event from thirteen years ago and presented it as an act of violence with intent to harm someone. I would like to make clear that it was neither and this is generally not how I pray or minister to people.

Please feel free to forward this email, post to blogs and social media as well as continue to pray for this ministry. Thank you!

    Todd Bentley”

What comes to my heart here is Jezebel who “calls herself a prophetess” in the letter to the church in Thyatira in the book of Revelation chapter 2. Jesus gave her time to repent, but she refused. What happens to her and her unrepentant followers should strike Godly fear into believers everywhere. My prayer for this “ministry” is that people will be delivered from it’s delusion.

    • Is he serious? I guess he is. And after others have tried to warn him. Even a small child could see that kicking someone in the face would harm, not heal. I don’t know how to feel about Todd or his followers. Are people that desperate that they actually believe these lies, after having seen him perform these things on stage? The man in 4th stage colon cancer….Remember Emma, the angel that he often spoke of, Bob Jones had encounters, soon everyone was seeing Emma. And one night Todd during Lakeland, via (not)GodTV, he pointed at the TV camera and stated “There is no Emma!” and flat out denied he ever spoke of a female angel called Emma. I guess deception has no memory, either.

Thanks for the heads up! Yes, you would think it would make them fearful, but most of them don’t really read their bibles and those that do, think we are the Jezebels.

  10. I also couldn’t help but notice on his Twitter account that he did not mention his children in his description of himself. Why would he not acknowledge them…they should still be a big part of his life. Nothing about him being a father…but…he did say he is a body builder!

    • Yeah, among other things. I had to chuckle right after his “fall” an remarriage he was asking for money. They were both wearing some pretty nice new clothes and Todd looked like he hadn’t missed out on much junk food. I know he has a passion for food and that’s fine, but where does all that eating out cash come from? Not from an honest day’s work! And Harley Davidson charges high prices for their things! Not quite the same as picking up something from Walmart cuz you are clothes desperate.

Those tats and that bald head were done AFTER he began his charades in ministry and are not a result of having lived the “biker” life. HA! I’ve known a few myself and he is not one. Old photos of him show a head of light red hair, thin, but there, and no tats – NONE. There is simply no truth in this man.

But yes. The worst of this are those children and the wife who have been abandoned and forgotten. What must they think now. I am sad for them and have been since day one.

Those who refuse to love the truth are like the 1/3 of angels who abandoned their given posts and followed satan in his lies. I think you’ve mentioned flattery before. The people trying to “endoctrine” me into the healing rooms and charismatic garbage were so full of flattery. It was the “intercessor” role that I was also first asked to fill….’cuz I had such an “anointing” of the Holy Spirit. Blah! Fortunately, my Heavenly Father was patient with me, and I had “the anointing I need” to understand what He wanted me to understand in His Word. Waking up to the truth was painful, though. When I think about all the angels who fell, I have a glimpse of why God might allow such false teachers to continue for a time. It sifts us, doesn’t it?

If we truly love His Word, the Truth, we will be saved (and leave flattery, seduction, and lies behind).

    Todd Bentley:
“I do not expect a secular audience or even many Christians to understand these isolated moments of healing through a gift of faith.”

The arrogance of this statement is dumbfounding. The healing is so far beyond us that Todd Bentley doesn’t even expect us to be able to understand it. No, Todd, I would understand a true healing done by the Mighty Hand of God without a problem. It’s the “kicking an elderly lady with your biker boot in the face”, among other things, that I am absolutely clueless about.

“woke up from a dream where I was debating & fighting a religious spirit. As I woke, I was prophesying we Are Breaking through! Breakthru now”

A few years ago, I had attended a “healing” workshop with some people from the Healing Rooms. In the car on the way home, the woman running the “ministry” started talking about all kinds of strange “deliverance” stories and all kinds of weird happenings in her home. The more she talked, the stranger and more disturbing the stories got. Even her demeaner changed. The more mild stories were about people screaming in pain as a someone gifted in “healing” chased and battled the demon out of their body and someone literally writhing and rising off the floor…all demonic. I quietly prayed “in the spirit”, because I didn’t know what to ask God’s help for…but I knew that I needed it.

God used that incident to teach me so much. People who run “ministries” like this undermine the power of God and His Holy Word and glorify the demonic. They lead people to believe that they need “something” other than Jesus and His Word; and they don’t even consider that His Word and the power of His Holy Spirit is enough to “set free” His people. They are always fighting demonic battles (TB’s last dream) and never acknowledging the Truth of the power of God. I know many people who read and post here understand only too well what I am talking about.

Darkness and light can’t exist in the same place at the same time. If there is a light on in the room…the room is not dark. There is no mix. Jesus never debated a demon: He told them to leave. Does He do anything less on our behalf?

People involved in these organizations (I no longer call them ministries) are taught they have the same power as Christ had while He was here on the earth to heal and deliver. They over use “greater things you will do” and the scripture where Jesus instructs them to “heal the sick”, etc. There is just enough truth to lead people into believing this. And yes, I was one who was also under the rule of strange spiritual manifestations and experiences. I have no doubt this woman you are speaking of is being controlled and manipulated by the demonic spirits who rule over her. And that is what they do – rule us.

Most of us were doing these acts because we felt we were right in our beliefs. Some were blown up in their pride of the gifts, some were not. But in the end it IS all a matter of pride and rebellion. Even in the idea why would God use me, it comes back to pride because there is great focus placed on self and what we can do for others, for God. We were not studying the Word for what it said, but searching it to prove what we believed to be right, altho we did not know the difference. In fact, so much of this is practiced to prove the truth of the prophetic which in turn can steer the entire mission of a church or church group. I had a dream, vision, word – – search for a scrip that backs that – ahha – the dream, vision or word is true. And so it goes. All the while I was involved in these things, and also the practice of dream and vision interpretation via John Paul Jackson, God was giving me many dreams to show me where I was wrong. These dreams were vivid with themes that spoke something was wrong, but I could not put it together at the time. It was after I came out I realized what He had been saying to me all along. And tho I did not understand the dreams at the time I do believe they added to my ability to question, to test, and in time it all came together. Just as I started to come out the Lord gave me a dream and I told it to my pastor and she told me it was Satan trying to scare me. I immediately knew she was wrong. Looking back, the journey out was quite powerful and I don’t believe God ever left me. I don’t know how else to explain it. I would suppose had I not questioned those teachings, had I completely ignored the signs I would have been given over to the darkness forever. This is why I still believe we pray for the deceived.

You are correct that these organizations remove the true power of God in that all we need has already been done for us, all we need is freely given by Him and Him alone. There is no word or power or touch that will ever change that. All principalities and powers are under Christ forevermore. Our job is to determine the difference, preach the truth of the purity of the gospel and warn the world. I will simply add that while involved with the IAHR not one of the demons we attempted to cast out ever left the person, not one. They were told it was a “process” and that they needed to keep coming back so that the “team” could peel off more and more layers of the demonic. My pastors believed this was true as well. I did not.

      Blessings to you.

      • Oh, just to add, and I am not sure if you have already read this here about me. The fall of Todd Bentely at Lakeland and the EXCUSES made for him – he was burned out, too much ministry and not enough rest, etc. did not work for me. I knew there was something wrong with him because of the way I saw him treat people physically, the way he often made fun of them and the way he spoke to them. Being in a “healing room” and working with people I knew we would never be allowed to treat people that way, nor would we want to; it was just plain wrong. As wrong as it was, still they made excuses for him and when I voiced my concerns I began to experience a shunning. So, I got on my computer one night, determined to get some answers because I was convinced something else was wrong with Bentley and the whole business. In searching for that measure of truth, the whole of what I was involved in opened up to me. You know we are told God’s ways are higher than ours – it is true. Again, He knows who is seeking Him and who is seeking something else. God will not be mocked. Praise His mighty name! 🙂

  18. In case anyone is left wondering who Todd Bentley’s “jesus” is, here is a tweet from him today:

    “Todd Bentley‏@IamToddBentley

Word of the day! Jesus is your Breakthrough. He is the master of Breakthroughs ( Baalperazim) 2Sam 5:20 There is a breach in your wall today”

The ba’als are the Canaanite or Phoenician dieties. It is most often used in the Bible to indicate false gods. Baalzebub is literaly “the lord of the flies”…a name that Jesus (the real Jesus Christ in the flesh) ascribed to satan. Baalperazim is the name of a place in Palestine and it means the “possesor of breaches” as taken from the root word ba’al. I’m not an expert in Hebrew by any stretch of the imagination, and got to this via a Word Study KJV Bible that I have been blessed to have. But even my children would recognize the ba’al in TB’s “prophetic” word and run from it. The “master of the breaches” is and always has been satan.

Hosea 2 talks about true restoration from the LORD. Here is what he says about the name of the ba’als:

“And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi (husband); and shalt call me no more Baali (master). For I will take away the names of the Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.” (Hosea 2:16-17)

“ba’als” are the names taken out of the mouths of she who is the true church. This gets back to the new age “master jesus”.

BTW, a “breach in the wall” was never a good thing in the Bible. It is that breach which lets the enemy in. It was something that the watchmen were called to repair and not simply whitewash.

    • As much as I like to show the false teachings of Todd Bentley and as much as I would love to see him fade from the lime light, his use of this name is correct for the God of Israel. Look at the whole context. I remember the first time I ran across this phrase and I was shocked, but it is a place that David named after YHWH told him he would give the Philistines to him in battle. This is the only place in scripture that I know of where YHWH was referred to with a name including Ba’al.

2 Samuel 5:18 “The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim. 19 And David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand. 20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The Lord hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim. 21 And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.

Remember that baal means master or lord when it is translated rather than being transliterated. Most of the time when you see the word “Lord” (capital “L” and lower case “ord”) it is the translation of the Hebrew word Adonai. I’m no Hebrew scholar either but it is my guess that this could be a possible error in some of the manuscript copies. We do not have any of the original manuscripts in Hebrew. We do have some copies of individual books such as the book of Isaiah found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, but that copy was made about 200 years after the original was written. Most of the Old Testament Hebrew text that we have was back translated from the Greek Septuagint, therefore it went from Hebrew to Greek back to Hebrew again and could have had a minor mistake here and there.

Baal was supposed to be the son of El, which is identical to the Hebrew name El which is translated God in the OT. It is part of many Hebrew names which have God as part of their meaning. Dani-el – God is my judge, or Ezeki-el – God will strengthen. My point is that at this time in history,

David could have been using it at a time when it was used for more than just the false god. It wasn’t until Ahab introduced Baal worship that it became commonplace in Israel and by that time, it may have become used exclusively for the false god when we see Elijah ask, “Who is God, Ba’al or YHWH?”

      Like

      • I seem to remember that too Dennis. Thanks

The way I see this is – the focus is not so much the name, but the promised “breakthrough” that is sure to come. It keeps the cash flowing and the crowds following and nothing in their word of God deprived spirits or lives change much.

        Like

  19. By the way, I have made the connection between the New Age ascended “masters” and the ba’als as well and have been sharing that on Facebook as often as I can.

Oh, and even though I have referred to God as the “Lord of breakthroughs”, I would never put the name “baalperazim” next to it because that leads to more confusion. Satan already likes to refer to himself with the many names of God already, why confuse the people more by referring to a name normally associated with a false god?

    Like

  20. Hi Dennis,
The point is that David named called the PLACE “Ba’alperazim”; he didn’t refer to God by that name. I believe Perazim is mentioned for a third time in the book of Isaiah as “Mount Perazim”. I also believe that certain scholars believe that David was making a play on words against the pagan god of the land. Todd Bentley directly addresses Jesus as “Ba’alperazim”; as far as I know neither God, nor Jesus, is ever referred in scripture as “ba’al”…but satan is.

And the New Age, as you commented, is very interested in “Master Jesus”. The fact that Jesus refers to satan by a variation of the “ba’al” name should be enough for the rest of us to NEVER attribute it to Jesus.

Former Croydon North MP Malcolm Wicks

A controversial Christian preacher who was banned from the UK after a campaign led by Malcolm Wicks has provoked outrage by claiming that the late Croydon North MP’s death was divine retribution.

Canadian evangelist Todd Bentley, 36, was blocked from entering the country in August after Mr Wicks wrote to Home Secretary Theresa May to draw attention to his violent ‘healing’ practices.

Mr Bentley, who had been due to bring his world tour to the Croydon Conference Centre on August 21, claimed he could cure cancer by kicking sufferers in the face.

Footage has now emerged of Mr Bentley telling followers that 65-year-old Mr Wicks’s death on September 29, after a battle with the disease, was “the Lord’s justice” for his opposition.

In the video, Mr Bentley says God had told him in a dream after the ban that “something very significant” would happen on September 29.

He says: “One thing that is significant about the whole thing is the Lord’s justice.

“On September 29 I was preaching in Ohio when I got a report that the man who lead the campaign against us in England had died suddenly of cancer.

“This was a clear release of God’s presence and power. The fear of the Lord is going to come.”

Mr Wicks’ former political colleagues condemned the video posted on Mr Bentley’s website as “abhorrent”.

Tony Newman, leader of Croydon Council’s Labour group, said: “This sick and abhorrent behaviour is just further confirmation of why Malcolm and others called for this individual to be banned and I hope that he is never allowed to set foot in this country again.”

Churches in his constiutency have also condemned Mr Bentley’s preachings. Rev. Russell Lawson of St Alban the Martyr church, South Norwood, said: “I would certainly not condone this man’s comments at all.

“All Anglicans and everyone who comes to our church would be appalled by these comments.”
