Escape the Lie, An Interview

Looky what just “escaped” from the internet:

Escape From Bethel

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The website containing my interview is no longer in operation. Just “poof” and it is no longer there, along with the contact e-mail. Not sure if it will be available. Just will wait and see. Sorry all.

Here is the audio of an interview I did this morning exposing the trap and darkness of “Bethel”.

Pass it on.

A former “Seer Prophet” tells her story and helps to expose the false teachings of Bill Johnson, Todd Bentley, John Paul Jackson and others. The Healing Rooms and Word of Faith ministries

It has been brought to my attention that his other site supports AA and 12 Stepping, Celebrate Recovery. I understand these practices to not be of God and I am not condoning or supporting them in any way. I believe Christ is enough. You will find links of supporting information against these programs from My Word Like Fire in the comments section for more info on these topics. It is only my intention, as it has been since the beginning of my blogging days, to support Christianity in it’s true form, as found written in the word of God.

  2. Several things hit me during this great broadcast that I wrote down to remind and remember.
    1. Do we repent or covet?
    2. Do we seek Jesus or an experience
    3. Study the Word yourself-don’t repeat what someone else says
    4. Do your teachers proclaim more of what they do than what Jesus did?
    5. Salvation must be 1st
    6. Are you producing the Fruit of the Spirit or looking for a manifestation of the spirit?
    7. Love God and HIS Truth no matter the cost
    8. The Holy Spirit can teach me what I need to

Thanks for sharing…M’Kayla you have a very nice voice! Enjoyed listening to your interview!

  3. This was such a great broadcast! I live a couple of hours from Redding. There are so many, of what I consider “mature Christians” who have moved there from our small town to go to Bethel, go thru their trainings. But because they do, I think they are not discerning, and, therefore, not mature. I just don’t get it…it is frightening to see how so many can be lead away from God’s Word (Jesus), because they desire more of Him… In my town it seems that if you are a Pentecostal, you blatantly accept Bethel and their teachings…

  4. Excellent reminder that we had better be like the Bereans — and make absolute certain that EVERYTHING we hear, read or believe LINES UP with God’s word. Otherwise, deception can creep on in…

I want to hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant! Well done!”

  5. Reblogged this on Las Vegas Apologetics & Evangelism (LVAE) and commented:
Here is a great interview of M’Kayla Kelly from Escape the Lie Ministries. God is using M’Kayla to lovingly inform and warn the Body of Christ of the dangers of a movement that is spreading like wildfire. M’Kayla was once involved in this movement and by God’s grace, she has escaped. This movement has already penetrated at least two churches in Las Vegas: The International Church of Las Vegas (ICLV; a very large congregation) and Encounter Community Church. Chances are, this movement is coming to a Christian church near you. East Valley House of Prayer and Evident Life Church in Gilbert, Arizona (Pastor is Eric Jones) have also embraced this movement by welcoming Bill Johnson’s teachings. Vista Assembly of God in Carlsbad, California (Pastor is Steve Myatt) and Carlsbad Assembly of God has also embraced this movement and promotes Bethel Church’s practices. Please, please listen and share with your loved ones. Please be careful of anyone laying hands on you who is involved with this movement. Souls depend on it! Please listen and test what you hear to the scriptures, and you will see that this movement does not line up with scripture. We are in the last days, and this was prophesied to happen (Matthew 24:5).

  6. M’kayla,
Without looking very deeply there is much to be concerned about on Monty’s recovery site. http://take12radio.com/

If I can put it bluntly, he has no right even to promote Escape The Lie, as he is giving a forum to many anti-biblical concepts on his recovery site. On the archives for Step by Step Towards Emotional Sobriety his co-host, Dr. Berger, introduces Martin Buber, I to Thou Relationship.

But Buber advocated the silence of meditation. According to one website:

Silence, for Buber, plays a crucial part in dialogue. Indeed, it could be argued that ‘attentive silence’ is the basis of dialogue (Avnon 1998: 42-3). This is an idea that may seem strange at first sight, but is fundamental to the experience of groups such as the Quakers.

In silence which is active, the Inner Light begins to glow – a tiny spark. For the flame to be kindled and to grow, subtle argument and the clamour of our emotions must be stilled. It is by an attention full of love that we enable the Inner Light to blaze and illuminate our dwelling and to make of our whole being a source from which this Light may shine out…. Speech has no meaning unless there are attentive minds and silent hearts. Silence is the welcoming acceptance of the other. The word born of silence must be received in silence. (Lacourt 1970: 9, 26)

Another guest was John Amodeo, author of Dancing with Fire: A Mindful Way to Loving Relationships…Well, the book plugs Buddhist meditation etc. Here is a Youtube video where he plugs his book. Please notice the labyrinth, the people meditating, etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23FsuLHPHvs

I could go on about how the anti-biblical Big Book is studied and promoted, but you get my point. And M’Kayla, each person that goes to this site may be exposed to….probably a whole lot more.

I feel for all the unsaved AA people who rely on this station for support. They don’t; know any better.

    In Him,
    John

  7. I have had a new poster make a comment on my reblogged post of this thread.. I have asked him to contact you personally he may have done so already but you may want to review the comment for yourself – the general gist is that he feels that there is hypocrisy & error with the radio host buying into contemplative spirituality… I made it clear I would not discuss your choices in deciding who to do a radio interview with…

  8. I listened and thank you for your input! It was interesting to hear about your reaction to visit Bethel. I’ve had such a virulent reaction to any thought of going back to any of the churches I attended that are still associated with this movement.
But lately I’ve been wondering, who is fighting this on the ground in Redding? Are any local churches offering “deprogramming” needed for those who finally, mercifully, come to their senses and leave? Is there a prayer or teaching network locally? Or is the Christian cocommunity ther

    • This is what I’m needing right now. I’m finally seeing the lies and deception. Where do I go from here? At this point I honestly feel hesitant to trust another church.

      • Hi again Heidi. I would be very hesitant to jump into another church. Some are able to find them, but most are not. That is fine because we are being called out from others who have gone the wrong way.

  10. Thank you for sharing. You most definitely blessed my wife, daughter and I.
You mentioned a couple of things regarding the end times and the antichrist. I will just like to encourage you to consider what the Lord is speaking to you about the end times and this very heavily confusing theological influence of ‘doom and gloom’ eschatology. As a fellow brother in Christ, I can see that you are diligently seeking Jesus and truth in your walk. Although what I am going to share with you is a long read and you may have already heard of it, I pray that you can be open to diligently ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth of God’s word (as I’m sure you do on a regular basis) regarding ‘Victorious’ eschatology. This is not to ridicule or undermine anything you say, rather, this is aimed at giving you a much fuller, deeper and complete revelation that your are ruling and reigning with Christ now!

    In Christ,
    Seb

    • Sebastian Sasin, I have removed the title of the book to protect others. What is the sign of the coming of Christ? Matthew 24. Doom and gloom, maybe. But from the very words of our savior. Read it.
