Death of a False Prophet, John Paul Jackson Has Passed

The man, John Paul Jackson, who I once took my dream interpretation training from has passed away. The man was a proven false teacher and false prophet, and I am floored and grieved at this news. And unless he repented and found the truth, he stood before God in judgement, without Christ.

Unfortunately, his work in deceiving masses will continue. Please be aware of who you follow and test everything through the perfect teaching of the bible, which will never fail us.

    • Can I share that tonight on 48 Hours they are doing a special exposure on iHOP in Kansas City and a young married women who committed suicide, maybe, but whatever it was, the International House of Prayer played a big role in her death, and hopefully God will open a window of heaven to expose the lies and deception to help people get out. It’s strong, I know, and only God can reveal it. Watch 48 Hours tonight on one person who lost her life from the pressure and the doctrine of lies. People cannot admit it is lies. They are trapped.

        • Just watched that. So disturbing. Visited IHOP once and remember feeling like oh, these people move in some kind of superior realm and I’m not there yet!! Felt condemned and that true intimacy with Jesus was almost unattainable. Such a strange place. But I was lured and seduced into believing it was all glorious!!

          • Hi at least initially there was question whether she was actually murdered rather than a suicide. It’s even darker than what the show appears to have showed. I havent seen the show yet but will look it up. Not only that but there was a question whether she was having sexual relations with several of the young men in a commune type of living situation. They were not directly with I Hop as I recall but there was a definite connection of some type. There are some articles online about it.

I know it’s grisly but many supposed suicides are actually murders. This applies also to celebrities and many others.

            • Oceanwaves…I have done hours and years of research on IHOP…(I have an adult daughter on staff there)..what is implied in the 48 hours interviews is that IHOP is at the bottom of it all, but you need to go deeper into the interviews, blogs, and articles written to get the whole truth (which is still forming BTW). The man in question (the focus of the 48 hours program) Tyler Deaton, was in fact on staff at the time of the murder, it was known and covered up very quickly and professionally by the leadership of IHOP!!! I have followed this story since the time it broke that dark day in October…and have some inside info because my daughter was there. 😦 Although she is not in fellowship with me at this time, she has spoken openly with her sisters about the meetings IHOP guru Mike Bickle staged right after the information came out that it was murder. (which by her own admission put the staff and students all at ease)! The spiritual abuses are accross the board there, but if you tell someone you are disciplined and shunned in true cult manner. Tyler’s group members went forward far in advance with issues to IHOP leadership, of which IHOP lied about in the meetings and with Police, distancing them from the so called “sub group” so as to not look suspect!!! The IHOP staff member who, (by Bickle’s own admission) rather coerced the confession from Micah Moore, (becasue a murder confession put blame on someone and fixed the issue IHOP explained) and is NOW at this time in the WITNESS PROTECTION program!! Her name is Shelley Hundley and you can google that info and read Boze Herrington’s blogs about it as well (He was the fellow also interviewed in 48 hours)…there are so many things not adding up to the police and others that it is only a matter of time before the house comes crashing to the ground. Which poses the dilemma for the rest of us…do we rather expose the heresies and dangers of this horrifically growing cult, and it’s many tenacles and associations such as YWAM, Aquire the Fire, etc etc., Or do we choose to remain in passive support (by not taking a stand against them) and continue riding it to the bottom. Your suspicion is correct….tell everyone you love to RUN!!! The Rolling Stone wrote 3 very good and more indepth articles about this whole mess (becasue they did not worry about judging a so called christian group…a spade is a spade is a spade).

              • Grace@….My heart goes out to you again and again. Thank you so much for letting us in on some very important information regarding IHOP. I hope the house comes down soon and they are exposed to all for what they truly represent. Praying for your child to come home to you in every sense of the meaning.

The organizations that are mentioned here – International House of Prayer, Youth With A Mission, Acquire the Fire, to that I will add The Call and Bethel – ANY organization that comes with the name of the Lord and claims that there is a special calling on the youth – BEWARE AND DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD CLOSE TO THEM. They are cults and seeking to destroy your relationship with you and your child. They will convince the child that they do not need the parent, that they will be parented and brought up to serve the Lord. My daughter was nearly a part of ATF and I was dumb enough to think they were right and holy before God. None of them are what they seem to be. God made parents for a reason and no one has the place to get in between that God ordained relationship.

  1. I noticed my blog being hit with unusually high numbers the last few days, and I noticed the search words John Paul Jackson Death, so I googled it myself. I’ve been off line for a few days, but there it was…I have to wonder when all of these people who believe in absolute healing in the atonement will wake up and realize it’s just a lie that will take them to the grave? Name it and claim it word of faith healing does not come from God’s word. It comes from the occult. And these so called great faith healers die from disease and illness all the time. It’s simple to see when the blinders come off, so take them off – International Association of Healing – lies, lies…God’s people perish from lack of knowledge…and unfortunately they often choose to be blind to their own demise.

    • Hi, are you saying that if someone who believes in healing in the atonement changed that they would be more likely to receive medical treatment? People get sick and die (unfortunately) all the time, whether they believe in divine healing or they don’t. What are you saying is the benefit of not believing in healing in the atonement specifically? Are you saying that people who believe in it are more likely to ignore symptoms? Thank you

      • Joy, I know from past experience “healing in the atonement” is widely used by false teachers who promote that we as believers should never be sick, and that we have forgotten who we are, even the disciples “missed it”. This is false teaching stemming from the International Association of Healing Rooms, and promoted by many others who believe the same way, including Bill Johnson at Bethel, Redding CA who has stated he will not allow for a theology or doctrine that does not include absolute healing (loosely paraphrased). Some, including the late Bob Jones have declared that there are people who will not die.

Regardless of what we chose to believe, we are still under a fallen state and all of us will die from one reason or another and there is no getting around that.

Having been a part of the healing rooms I know of people who stopped taking medication, and this is widely taught throughout word of faith. What happens when people stop taking meds that they need? They get worse. They die. This is wrong – period. If we live in areas blessed to have medical care then we should get what we need, and never should we ever instruct a person to do otherwise.

        • I agree… but there are also cases where the medical advice and drugs given are actually harming not helping.

In every case we need to pray and ask God. I am not against medical treatment, however medical mistakes and properly taken and prescribed prescriptions (not abused meds but those properly taken as prescribed) are now the 3rd or 4th highest cause of death in the US.

Many drugs are actually poison. Am I against medicine, doctors or medications? No. It really depends. I agree we should never tell anyone to throw out their medication or treatments however there may be times when the Holy Spirit will tell someone to get away from a certain doctor, medication or treatment.

People die from not receiving proper medical treatment but they also die from receiving medical treatment that harms them, inadvertently. And there is much satanic influence in hospitals and in our new health care system, which is attempting to put each of us under the government, who eventually will have the say over who lives and who dies.

Christians are deceived and naive that just because a doctor prescribes a med for them it will be safe. Not so. We need to pray about everything. If someone needs medical treatment and meds they should by all means take them. But meds also kill people. Meds are like fire; not evil in itself but we do not often know what we’re getting into. Many meds are highly addictive. Side effects are often diagnosed as an illness. Doctors are in many cases like legal drug pushers. Are there times medications are truly needed and warranted?
Yes. Definitely. However there are also many people being prescribed medications that are not safe. The tests done for the FDA are paid for by those who profit from the new medication sales. Often test results are skewed or
not fully reported in medical journals. Tests are sometimes only 3 weeks and the long term effects not known until the people who take the drug develop serious and sometimes fatal effects.

So it’s best not to be naive as we were told “the doctor will tell you when it’s safe to go off your medication” etc. Well the doctor may not know and is not always hearing from God. Be careful.

    • I think it is a sad thing, and I agree with M’Kayla’s post, unless they allow the Holy Spirit to reveal it to them they will stay in their deception because it makes people think they have more. Flesh and blood cannot reveal it but only the Holy Spirit. Like Jesus said to Peter. John Paul Jackson spent some time in my home town many years ago, maybe 22 years, at the conception of the Vineyard church here as part of it’s planting. I remember his eyes – you felt like they were boring a hole through your spirit, he was scary to me but I thought it was God – deception is strong and controlling. I spent years and years involved in this doctrine. God began showing me, I began intensely studying the Word of God, and found doctrines of demons were being taught. It grieved me very deeply, I went through a time of mourning and loss, followed by God moving me.
The thing is, you think you are free, you think you know grace and mercy and you think you have more understanding, only to find out you are in death, bondage, and deception so huge the smartest people you know are deceived. I thank God he moved me, and more and more I thought was truth is shown to be false. If you truly seek the Lord, study the Bible not the teacher, read the word, not listen to someone’s interpretation, there is a pretty good chance that the scales of deceit and lies will fall off your eyes.

It took me two years of really seeking truth and discovering how flawed my doctrine was before I could make the move. I look at those who refuse to see, who still think laying on graves of dead saints will give them a stronger anointing, who run to Prophets to give them a word instead of running to the Word of God (which is faith, right? How much faith is it when you run the “Christian” equivalent of a physic? Why do we allow people to touch us and lay hands on us who are probably filled with demons? God gave us the Holy Spirit and the ability to talk to Him and hear his voice through the word of God, not be a chaser of signs and wonders which are almost always false, but oh, how good a job that Satan does in deceiving the very elect, who sadly, aren’t the elect when they put their faith in man instead of the Father.
I am so sad that I spent 40 years there and for all my friends who refuse to see the lies. Only the spirit of God can reveal it, and only if you seek God and ask Him to show you. – you have to want truth more than you want to chase after miracles, signs, wonders and prophecies. I am glad that I have understanding of deception and God can use me to help someone “think” and seek truth and get out of the deception that has so many bound in chains.

The Bible tells us the last days will be filled with signs and wonders. Strangely, God doesn’t use them to draw disciples to Himself, but rather to deceive those who reject His Word and chase the miracles (Rev. 13:13-14; 16:14; 19:20). Please read every word in this end times prophecy- carefully: God will use signs and wonders in the last days to deceive the world.
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth . . . (2 Thess. 2:9-12).
Pray for those who are lost in their doctrines of demons, to be free long enough to see, so they too, can realize that they have been part of the great deception of the end times, and get back to the truth of the Word of God.
God deliver us all from the deception of the enemy.

I’m sorry this is so long. These deceptive lies are very raw to me and hurt a lot, and only by prayer, fasting, and someone’s desire to open their eyes and see the truth can one be free.

  2. Very Dear Mkayla. I am shocked to hear the news about j.p.Jackson. I trust he did repent. In March or April of 2014 the Lord began to open my eyes and ears, and began removing me from the apostasy. At first I did not know what was happening, I thought I was loosing my mind. NOW I know. Thank God. I have lost a few friends because of this. Thank you so much Mkayla for speaking out. The Lord Bless you richly ALWAYS. Take care Dear.

There’s really no evidence that he did. I do believe that there are some who are flat out deceivers – Still I am very sad over his passing and the many that will continue to be deceived because of his teaching out there in many forms and groups. I am so happy to know you Jane and have appreciated all of your kind words and encouragement to me over these last few months. Be well my friend. Always here!

      • Have you heard anything about either Andrew Wommack Ministries or John G Lake Ministries (Rev Curry). They both teach healing in the atonement. Both claim that they do see healings. I’m wondering if anyone here has anything on either ministry. Another one is Joseph Prince. I have found some of these ministries helpful in some areas (primarily in understanding God’s love and grace) but I also don’t want to deceive myself. I come from a word of faith background. In my opinion, some of it was helpful and some of it was very wrong. However I may be clinging onto some of it that is actually all wrong. Having some health issues I needed healing, and some of these ministries do emphasize healing and God’s willingness to heal.

Do you believe at all in Divine healing? Do you believe a Christian should pursue medical help? The problem is, that the medical help we tend to accept and trust is often more wrong than we realize. Medical people may help many but it tends to be drug pushing, and the drugs tend to have side effects and do more damage, which leads to yet another drug. I’m not against medicine by any means, but it is not a panacea.

Trying to ask God about every drug and situation is difficult.

How do you recommend hearing from God? I know whatever we hear has to agree with the Bible. I also have heard the modern Bible translations have many problems with them. Supposedly the authorized King James is more accurate but it is harder to understand.

What is your belief about Bible translations and about hearing from God on personal issues?

Finally (sorry this is long…limited time)….do you include word of faith in the overall apostacy? What is your stand on word of faith?

I’m still trying to sort this out as objectively as I can. I know there are serious problems with word of faith (although that is not exactly the same “camp” as you are talking about….it appears the group you came out of is somewhat worse in error.

Thanks and sorry to switch topics. I’m really short on time.

        Thanks, Joy

There are also books to read on the manifest sons of God movement, or latter rain movement. This has crept into our churches. The manifest sons of God movement was at one time rejected by the penticostal Church, but seems it has become a part of it without anyone kicking them out. People like Bill Johnson, and these modern day apostles have their own teaching on who Jesus is, that on earth was just a man, that he was born again, that we can do the same works as Jesus. Joyce Meyer also says Jesus went to hell to pay for our sins, like them, along with a few other doctrines that are off. I quit watching her a long time ago because she seemed to be just giving advice on life that seemed not spiritual. I was annoyed to listen to her. Later I found what she really believes. Same as Bill Johnson, I heard from people that follow him how great he was. I would put a sermon on the computer downstairs, and try to sew and listen. I could not stand him. Very arrogant. Like a superior attitude. We need to watch for the easy believism with no repentance. I don’t know how many times I have heard just ask Jesus into your heart, and you are fine. There is no call to holiness and turning from sin. There is a Church here where there are couples just living together un married. No one is telling them to make it right. Scripture says that fornicators will not inherit the kingdom of God.What about that?

The newer print bibles can be extremely deceiving..Id stay with the NKJV study bible 20 years and older. See a Dr. eat and drink healthy take care of your temple but on occasion you may need to have a demon cast up out and off of you, I have had many miracles as well as many surgeries. I opened a door to the demonic by researching satanic activity in my government and just before clicking on a particular web site I felt that tug by holy spirit “don’t open it” what’s the big deal I research all kinds of dark information, well I did and was sick for 3 months. I told my husband to take me to that church where Joan Hunter was teaching and healing as a guest, she had a call for healing I went up and had a man lay hands on me because of a botched hysterectomy the next morning I felt so awesome. It had been years since I felt that good. The next day I felt like crap again. One year later after seeing Joan Hunter and opening that web page and got so ill I told Jeff to carry me to that church. drag me in on a stretcher I don’t care just get me to that Church Joan Hunter visited. Once we got their he had to look for that same grey haired man and have him pray for me. We went, found him and after service he walked up to me and as soon as he went to talk to me and my husband I dropped straight down and grabbed his cowboy boots moaning “get it off of me” he did intense business at that alter I’m crying I’m sure people were staring or gasping and when we were threw the next afternoon I was laying in bed and felt a presence lightly leave my gut area threw the top of my head ( a evil sprite being) and I have never been sick since or at least not like that. I hope this helps

Instead, you continue the endless banter of hate and spite which seems to grow with each comment. You should ask yourself where that is coming from. Because even if Christians disagree, hatred is not allowed. Your comments are no longer allowed here. And if I were a witch, which you stated in a previous comment last night, I certainly wouldn’t point you to the word of God.

Being deceived is more prevalent and harder to avoid than any of us can imagine, thus the multiple warnings from Jesus and Paul throughout the NT. Read Mathew 25 and you will see that HALF of the christians do NOT meet the bridegroom when He comes…they will miss Him! It is our personal job to safeguard against heresy and distractions of the faith in our Hope..our salvation depends on it.

    • I always felt something was seriously wrong when I heard him on tv and read one of his books. Whether he was a “false prophet” I don’t know, as it isn’t clear to me from the Bible where to draw the line. It seems perhaps some ministries have some good things combined with some bad (I know, I would stay away) and therefore are in error in some areas (I know that would be a sign to stay away or be careful). However if the sincerely believe in what Jesus accomplished for us (which of course only God knows) it’s possible they could be saved but in error in various areas.

Or it is possible that they are not truly saved.

I agree with you, M’Kayla that there are deliberate deceivers out there. I wouldn’t presume at this point to name who, but I have studied and it appears that some have deliberately sold out to the enemy and also that the enemy has infiltrated churches, denominations, (and non denominational groups) as well as other areas of life. It’s horrible to say but it appears that some “pastors” are actually deliberate agents of Satan. I would say many are just very deceived, swept along with error and somehow personally benefiting from the whole mess
especially financially as well as being super stars……..which goes to the head of many people.

It’s crucial God’s people learn to be discerning in this hour.

I have seen and heard of some very creepy and astonishing things.

The Bible does say when the anticrhist comes he will come with power and miracles. I’m not sure if these are real miracles, but their source and origin is Satan (or the occult) rather than Jesus, or if it means the miracles are fake
ones that look powerful. I tend to believe the former.

Not everything supernatural is from God, obviously there are real supernatural things but they come from the occult, from satan, or from his realm.

I remember a lady who wrote about her involvement in some time of spiritism where she saw real healing…..but they were NOT from God….The name of her book is “The Beautiful Side of Evil” and her name is Joanna Michaelson
(sorry don’t know the correct spelling). You can find her giving talks on you tube.

What I have gathered from my studies is that a miracle or sign can be
satanic rather than from God, and this seems to tend to deceive many people because people love to feel or see something spectacular. I think the Toronto
      experience had this problem

There is always the possibility of a mix……..some good…….or that the people are actually saved but they are deceived. I agree there are plants that are deliberately leading Christians astray….involving new age, and other issues.

We definitely have the responsibility and right to examine and test everything with the Word of God. We may not know the heart of the person but we can see when the fruit and the teachings, etc are going wrong.

The compromise right now is horrible, Look what has happened in the mainline denominations, the gay issue, and of course these other groups. It seems to be accelerating at an alarming rate right now.

If anyone here can recommend any solid ministries or churches I’d love to hear it.

  4. Hi, I’ve never heard of or seen him at all until I’d seen he passed away. My question was, “If he were a Prophet, wouldn’t he have passed peacefully in his sleep rather than a sickness?” And.. “If he did hear from God, wouldn’t God have shown or spoken to him?” I don’t know, I have become very weary of popular ministers, prophets, evangelists, pastor etc. This is the time we really need to rely & be led by the Holy Spirit. The devil is deceiving many to hell.. So sad..

As for this man, I know very little about him other than he wrote some book on interpreting dreams. Is there anything documenting him as a false prophet/preacher? If so, I would like to read about it.

What has always bothered me is all the prophetic movement and prophets is why did they not get revelation on things that matter like why did they all bless Todd Bentley when at the time they did this he was already cheating and unfaithful to his wife, and why did they put him back in leadership so quickly without doing it Biblically and having him time to repent, be healed, and allow to see his character and integrity to be seen changed. I don’t see the church following N.T. process on what God expects a leader to be. We have defiled ourselves I think. It’s sad.

    • O Day, I will be happy to answer questions you have. The best way to gain understanding is to go to the source and compare the teachings with the word of God. While it is true that there were supernatural events that took place, they were very few and far between. JPJ and many other teach these things as a way of life, things to be sought after. And if you really listen, there is a resounding question – Where’s Jesus in all of this…??? He simply isn’t there – and these things that are taught – dreams, visions, out of body experiences are all things taken from the occult. JPJ has actually said that these things belong to the church and we should take them back. This is not so. When men experienced these things it was by the will of God, not the demand of men, and for a purpose much higher than an experience to be had.

  9. Wow —-dream interpretation.
That jogs my memory of when a fellow member of that cult I was in, kept having a recurring dream of dead babies laying all over the church floor.
One of the false prophets “interpreted” the dream to mean that many where being born into the kingdom, but losing their salvation due to a lack of discipleship.
This was about 5-6 years ago.
Since then that man and his wife started their own cult called the River and have had multiple miscarriages.
About a month ago, I watched a video of a black woman coming out of a crowd speaking in tongues with an interpretation. She said her gift of tongues came from the devil and whenever she spoke in that tongue and laid her hands on a pregnant woman she would miscarry.
I also distinctly remember another pregnant woman in that cultic church who had tongue speakers to lay hands on her stomach. Just a week or so later, she miscarried.

All this truly makes one wonder.

John Paul Jackson has a great book out called Needles Casualties of War in it is about miscarriages. Lastly God states “My people parish for lack of knowledge” so be a fruit inspector, what kind of fruit is hanging off a persons tree especially a minister. Yes we all have a right to “judge” a persons fruit. Just watch out for fruit cakes…Run! M

  10. Just one more thought:
I watched a youtube sermon by Paul Washer exposing false prophets. He made a point most don’t even think about or hear these days……that the people who get into these cults and sit under these wolverine mentors are not really victims, because they are listening to exactly what their itching ears want to hear.
By God allowing them to sit under these wolves, It’s a form of God’s judgment upon them because they have made lies their refuge and turned to idols instead of to the living God.

    • Forgive me for being so blunt. But that teaching is crap! I was a victim, I didn’t want to hear that garbage and have my life ruined, I was decieved and brainwashed. Its was only God who opened up my eyes in a very harsh and painful way to get my attention and show me the lies I believed for 15 years. It is not a form of Gods judgment, thats the kind of teaching that makes christians think they are better than everyone and understand Gods judgment and grace, sorry but it does not work that way.
I challenge you to look deeper into what this Paul person is saying, and to question it.
Im so tired of religious freaks thinking all bad things are gods judgment.

      • I have to agree with Washer. I don’t believe we start out that way, but to continually sit under false teaching, and not compare it with the bible just opens a person to more deception. And yes, most of what they teach appeals to our fleshy nature. We are often warned of false teachers in the bible and how to handle them. I also think it can be a form of judgement as an end result. The Holy Spirit will reveal truth and will continue to do so until he decides it is done. No one can say for how long this process can go on. The point is to make sure whose teachings we follow lines up with the word of God, and if not, warn others and get out. We are living in times where people are more apt to defend their “guru” than they are Christ, and His word, who gave his life for us.

He talks pretty in depth on the deception of our own heart etc. basically it boils down to us not wanting to be lovers of the truth, and allowing us to be deceived. I would recommend listening to this learned man who dissects scripture well. He is from South Africa originally.

    • Ellie, you can question it all you want to. Do your own research. There’s nothing hidden that the Holy Spirit won’t reveal. But first ask yourself if you follow Jackson or Christ and if it is Christ you must be willing to be teachable. I didn’t just throw this up there, I was involved in it.

Your blog is born out of a place of hurt and disappointment. That seems to be why it is so easy for you to point an accusatory and dismissive finger at people.
        We are all people.
I pray the Holy Spirit softens your heart and heals your wounds and washes your mind with his Word.

        • Sorry Ellie, but you could not be more wrong. I have been friends with M’Kayla for several years now, and the purpose of this blog is to warn other people, so the do not have to go through the same deception that we did. People like Jackson dazzle people with their “special” knowledge, and try to put the spotlight on themselves rather than Christ. Add the nonsense about the portals(witchcraft and New Age) on his property, where he has to wrestle demons to clear the stairways to the 3rd heaven, and you have a man that very much elevates himself. What you are watching with him is unbiblical gnosticism.

      • I guess it goes both ways. Should we listen to you or to God. One thing JPJ always said was to read the Bible, strengthen yourself with the word of God. You, M’Kayla are just condemning another for the way he chose to direct others to God. He never condemned anyone else but gave the same warning you are giving. JPJ said, you can ask God and He will answer you. You continue to harp on what you don’t believe and, well, it’s your choice. I would just say to others ask Jesus into your heart, your life, your mind and pray for the Guidance of The Holy Spirit.

  11. It’s one thing to say a human being is teaching in error and conceivably, prophesying untruths, but yet another to proclaim whether or not their saved, or you know for sure they went to heaven or hell. No one knows this knowledge save God, and He alone will separate the wheat from the tares. Apparently, this puts you in the same class as Bethel’s instructors and rectors, because you’re adding and taking away from the scriptures, just as they have been doing. You don’t know the condition of a man/woman’s soul before they die or whether or not God can or will be merciful given only he alone can make such judgment calls. Judeing before the time is probaly the equivalent of teaching heresy. Good Luck with that.

That would be a really big dog, or, a really small elephant. That’s how awful, careless & retarded this can get when we don’t check the fruit of ones lips according to the bible. Who said anything about judging someones heart. We judge the evidence that is put in the public domain for all to see. Revelation 2v1, Jesus commends the church of Ephesus for testing those who call themselves apostles & are not. By the evidence of jpj, & miles Monroe, there’ve been weighed & found wanting. Will will they end up heaven or hell? Not my call.. Neither is it my call where hitler, Nero & all the other murderess of mankind will go. But you’d have to agree, it doesn’t look good for them. Bottom line, you value jpj as a brother in Christ, I don’t. The evidence is on my side by jpj’s own words. A Rose, is a Rose, is a Rose.

He spoke and taught hundreds and thousands of people supernatural experiences, dreams and visions, the importance of understanding and interpretingt hem for prophetic use, transference – the ability to travel out of body, the ability to walk thru walls, to take trips to “the third heaven”, etc., etc. Are these the teachings of Christ? They are NOT. I am not comparing him with others at this point, so stay on track and stay true to the word of God. If you chooses to believe the lie, then that is by your choice. Go to the bible.

9 Blind yourselves and be blind!
          They are drunk, but not with wine;

10 For the Lord has poured out on you
          The spirit of deep sleep,
          And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets;

And he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”

12 Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, “Read this, please.”

And he says, “I am not literate.”

          13 Therefore the Lord said:

“Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths
And honor Me with their lips,
But have removed their hearts far from Me,
And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,
14 Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work
          Among this people,
          A marvelous work and a wonder;
For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish,
And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.”
15 Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the Lord,
          And their works are in the dark;
They say, “Who sees us?” and, “Who knows us?”
16 Surely you have things turned around!
          Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay;
For shall the thing made say of him who made it,
          “He did not make me”?
Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it,
          “He has no understanding”?

Just curious as you are defending him using a reference of an old testament scripture completely out of context. Next you say “I’m sure that man did not get everything 100% but according to his fruit I will see him in heaven.” Okay so now you are judging ‘his fruit’ by your own standards again, (and judging that he and you will both be in heaven)…yet you are not paying close attention at all to what has been written in the comments and posts above, about him. The poor guy was quite an ear tickler by everyone’s standards, taught doctrine scripturally way out in another atmosphere, and has fleeced the flock of God whom he should have been protecting. These are very serious things Melissa…the sheep are called to encourage each other daily (in the truth), and to expose a false teacher for the protection of the body of believers! This false teacher (JPJ) has already exposed himself by his own fruit, and by the testimony of his followers (you and a few others here)…We all must be careful Melissa, that the light which we think we have may in fact be darkness!

Did you also know that it did NOT end well for this so called “anointed” man, whom did many right and good things (especially in his earlier ministry)?? When he started to become a false leader, well….read the story in the books about Samuel the Lord’s prophet! How easy it is to allow yourself to be corrupted by association!! After all, if you can’t get on the radio shows, or TV, or get recommended to the churches, how can you ‘get the word out?’

Does the bible say that? Yes, and it also teaches us to search to make sure things taught are so. Listen, there is NO dream/vision interpretation method taught in the bible. If it did we wouldn’t need dream interpretation cards, yet JPJ not only teaches these things, but he sells the cards. As do Barbie Breathitt and Doug Addison who long ago studied under him. There is a list a mile long wrong with the things like this he taught – trips to heaven, don’t even the unsaved speak of these things?? People do not go to heaven until they die, and even Paul spoke against such a thing – I just posted that in a new article. As for personal experience I paid for his training and went thru it – and I mentioned this in my original post. Yet you act as tho I have no knowledge of the man’s teachings. I also agree that John Paul wasn’t perfect ;but I would rather call him a prophet quicker than to label him a false prophet. He was my friend and I loved him for the many ways he glorified our Lord Jesus. How did you manage to miss that aspect of his life when you were looking to judge him for faults in his life.?He primarily sought to honor and glorify Jesus and many of his experiences were weird like what is coman to prophetic people like him and me. Call us what you will ;but watch out when you do. It is not safe to call a prophet a false prophet. John Paul never called himself a prophet and felt unworthy to do so ,for the record.

We are not supposed to go like lambs to the slaughter because we naively trust some sharp looking new age worker of iniquity, who sprinkles his false doctrine and practices with christian language. I seriously doubt you have given one thought to question where in the bible we are taught to interpret dreams or teach others to interpret dreams. That, is only the beginning. And yes, I can go into great detail and start showing you in the bible why and where he is wrong. But, I have already done so much of that here, and still I won’t be heard. The most simplest approach is the word…so go there and find where dream and vision interpretation is taught in the manner JPJ has done.

Matthew 2: 1Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. 2And He said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.”

3As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

4And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. 5“For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.

I will be happy to provide more information and to answer questions of why I believe the way I do regarding his teaching. I’ve already pointed out that I was under his teachings in my original post so there is your first clue that I am not just throwing accusations out there.

Many false teachers have come in the name of the Lord and they do much damage. We are told this in 2 Peter 2. Jesus said this would be a sign of his coming in Matthew 24, and often warned that we are to see to it that no one deceives us. He said that many times so it is worth paying attention to.

This is what we are up against now. And it is time to take these teachings to the bible to prove if they are right or if they are wrong. I was once a part of it all, and God in his great mercy and love pulled me out of it. This is why I blog – to help others see the truth and to escape or avoid the same error that I made. Just because someone comes in the name of the Lord and seems to know things, does not make that person a true believer. Thinking this was so was my first mistake. Don’t make it.

    Test all things.

Now that both of these “prophets” have died, I can only surmise that pastors will either find another prophet to parrot or come together to make sure the sermons all match up.

Lest I seem sarcastic, I will explain why I left. I had spoken to another member who had been on some sort of evangelism outing. Having concerns about what I heard, I called the pastor and spoke with his wife. It was true that a booth was set up with signs that read “Dream Interpretations and Life Readings.” I asked her if people were told that these messages came from the Lord and if Jesus being their Savior was mentioned. She told me no, because that might offend the people who were listening. I was in shock! I told that was how it’s supposed to be; the Scripture tells us that Jesus is a stumbling block and a rock of offense. We talked for about ninety minutes. I quoted Scripture after Scripture, trying to convince her to no avail that people would mistake the church members for psychics. In that ninety minutes, I was also told that people didn’t need to believe in Christ; believing in an unnamed god was good enough. No Scripture could convince her otherwise. I decided then to leave permanently.

Looking back, I should have left when I noticed things like the unreasonable emphasis on dreams being taught to small children or the sermon when the pastor expounded on the idea that the real cause of sexual sin (and all sin) wasn’t lust but low self-esteem. My Bible told me the opposite. I suppose I stayed because I really wanted to believe I was at a Christian church, not a cult. I knew that prophecy was still a gift, so I ignored all the warning signs. The emotional and physical healing I experienced while there was also a big factor in not using the discernment I had.

Several friends have also left the church but most are still there, being wooed by false teachings from false teachers and prophets. The last I knew, a church is being constructed on land formerly used by Satanists in an attempt to “take back” the land for God. I recall going halfway up that dirt road once before turning around since I didn’t understand the reasoning for building a church there. It seemed that to me that demonic spirits were still fully entrenched on that land.

If this is what some call a modern movement of the great I AM, then my Bible is a book of lies.

There are *many* like you on the Internet – haughty, proud, puffed up with religious, doctrinal pride, always looking to accuse the brethren, as the devil does. You have limited understanding of God, and because of this you judge those who have attained to greater things. Trips to the third heaven are in Scripture, if you have the eyes to see them. If you don’t, then they need to be opened, and soon, before you do more damage.

OUCH!!! seriously??? and you sir, have what type of spirit?? I am curious how you might judge yourself by your own comments?

M’Kayla…thank you for not being arrogant and prideful, yet selflessly keep helping by warning (Jeremiah, the whole book, and Ezekial) and teaching others whom may fall into the same pit that you came out of (Proverbs). I can attest to your sound research and ready spirit that shared with me when I needed some answers about the crazy NAR cults. 22. THE APOSTLE PAUL declared, “I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago — whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows —such a one was caught up to the THIRD HEAVEN. 3 And I know such a man — whether IN THE BODY OR OUT OF THE BODY I do not know, God knows — 4 how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” (2 Corinthians 12:1-4) Shall we consider Paul a false prophet because he spoke of these things?

JOSEPH: Gen. 41:25 — His dream interpretations resulted in his promotion in Pharoah’s employ and saving the Jewish people and multitudes from starvation. God used Joseph’s ability to interpret dreams many times in Joseph’s life, and the lives of others.

“And when SAUL inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by DREAMS or by Urim or by the prophets.” (1 Samuel 28:6) — indicating understanding dreams is one of the ways God speaks to people.

DANIEL: (Daniel 1:17) “As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had UNDERSTANDING in all VISIONS and DREAMS.” Prophetic dream and interpretation in Daniel 2, and other places. God gave this ability to Daniel. It’s something God wants people to understand, but due to some flakes in the world (JP NOT being one of them) some people throw up a wall as soon as the topic comes up — to their own loss of a beautiful gift of God.

(Daniel 5:12) “Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, INTERPRETING DREAMS, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.”

If God gives a gift (such as Daniel re: understanding dreams), we should not consider it wrong if that person tries to help others partake of the same understanding they have. That’s called being a good steward of the gift of God, and is indeed God’s vision for all ministers of the Gospel — to share what God has given them for the equipping of all believers (see Eph. 4:11-12).

(Acts 2:17-19) ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
    That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see VISIONS,
Your old men shall dream DREAMS.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants
    I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
    And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show WONDERS in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

The scriptures are full of dreams, visions, and explanations of the same. I’ve listed just a few sample scriptures, but hopefully it’s enough for the readers of this blog to understand — we should not consider a believer “out of it” because he teaches on the topic of understanding dreams and visions. If God gives someone a dream, he obviously wants the individual to understand the meaning. John Paul Jackson helped people in that area, because very few other people were able to do this as well as He did, by the help of the Holy Spirit.

I know enough of John Paul to know he has a heart that loves Jesus as seen by the fruit of the Spirit, and the consequent fruit of his life … as seen within the lives of many who had the privilege to sit under his teaching.

No, I do not necessarily agree with everything he taught on some things (actually I can only think of one thing), nor am I familiar with every topic he taught on, but his teachings on understanding dreams and visions I have found very Biblical, and very helpful (with Godly fruit as a result) … His love for Christ and the body of Christ was clearly evident to me. His teaching on understanding dreams and visions was cherished and helpful to many, and resulted in many people delving deeper into a relationship with Christ as a result. I’d say that’s good fruit.

I was not going to bother replying, but I felt this is important to share. Go slowly before judging; meaning, before classifying someone as a false prophet. Yes, there are many false prophets out there — but from what I’ve seen of John Paul, he was a real prophet, not a false one.

I’m not exalting a man — I’m just observing what God has done in a man, and what he can do through others as well.

    • Dreams or prophecy should be interpreted by the Holy Spirit, not man, and should line up 100% with Gods Word. John Paul Jackson was just a man. Nowhere does Scripture say that a man can teach dream interpretation.

    • Seems to me that JPJ (and those who choose to follow him) have lost the balance between acknowledging God’s obvious miracles which were done to give God glory, and the dangerous doctrines that continually seem to be looking for a sign…Jesus has many words for such as those, here are some pretty stark ones…Matthew 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

Notice ..He left them!!! but not before giving them the key to their barage of questions (which they really did not want the answer to, but merely wanted to corner Him). Mathew 16 tells us the whole drama as it played out so that we may learn also from it and refocus and find that balance.

Again…which sin is bigger, NOT exposing a person who has dangerous errors in his teaching causing the sheep to be confused, starved for truth and scattered, or calling out a teacher (whom his followershave assumed is anointed), because of his false doctrine and his practice of fleecing the flock? Read the story of Jonah as Christ Himself suggested and the rest of the prophets of the old testament, I assure you the answer is there in plain sight! 🙂

  23. For what it’s worth, here was my experience with John Paul Jackson many, many years ago. Up front, I do believe in prophecies and healings etcetera, so this is not an anti-charismatic post.

But JPJ held a conference at my church and at a certain point there was a time for prayer ministry. So as expected, he went out to lay hands on folks and prophecy. He came up to me specifically, grabbed my stomach without invitation and announced loudly in front of everyone that I should be healed of my eating disorder.

Problem was, I have never had an eating disorder. I have always been very thin, but extremely healthy with a fast metabolism. Always I have been able to eat whatever I want and have never had body image issues or serious health problems. My doctors have always found me to be very healthy (But it is common in my experience that people think a skinny girl must be anorexic or something, but it is not true).

Anyway, right when JPJ pronounced that I should be healed of my eating disorder, I said to him directly and firmly, “But I don’t have an eating disorder.” He looked at me stunned and froze a bit, but then he just turned and walked away to prophesy over someone else. He didn’t apologize, or ask questions, or SAY ANYTHING even to seek to clarify the situation. He just tried to pretend like it never happened.

Anyway, I knew after then that something was wrong with this guy – not just by the bold, and potentially hurtful, false public declaration he had made over me. Good thing I’m not insecure, or it would have been even more upsetting than it was. But the fact he was not even willing to talk to me about his pronouncement was a huge red flag. I never took him seriously after that.

But JPJ’s influence on my church remained strong for years (among other influences) and ultimately this particular church fell apart altogether and exists no more.

  24. Paul – I appreciate your humility on JPJ, but really…he was a good looking charismatic guy who parlayed that into a big ministry, fame and wealth. The problem with the signs and wonder people of america is that they are proud, love fame and are getting rich off the gullible masses. God can do anything…I just don’t think he does much in terms of actual real healing(verified) and raising the dead because the men who seek it seem, from what seems clearly discernible, to seek it for personal gain. Why charge so much for a prophecy school if it is a free gift you received from the hand of God?? Freely you received so freely give. That was most certainly the great apostle Paul’s attitude as I have written about on my blog.
It all just feels gross and man centered, so I think it wise to err on the side of testing every spirit, and if their is a hint of flesh(pride, greed, etc,) to turn and run the other way… and quickly. We have the engrafted word of God, so we don’t need to risk our relationship with God by trusting mortal men who are likely deceivers. Even Jesus says that he didn’t trust himself to men because he knew what was in men(John 2:24-25). I recommend we all do the same – especially when you have such a strong testimony against him like we do here. Strong testimony my brother. Instead, we should all fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning it’s shame and sat down at the right hand of God the Father. That is certainly enough for me.

    (Galatians 5:22-23 )

lets examine what has been said here in this site, is it in line with the scripture?

do you know that we can murder people with our tongues, by assasinating their character. We need to look at ourselves first and see what our purpose and agendas are for every word that comes out of our mouths.

3 The one who does not slander with his tongue,
who does no evil to his neighbor,
and who does not destroy his friend’s reputation.
4 The one who despises those who are utterly wicked,
but who honors the one who fears the LORD,
who keeps his word even when it hurts and does not change,
5 who does not loan his money with interest,
and who does not take a bribe against those who are innocent.
The one who does these things will stand firm a forever
    (Psalms 15:3-5 )

when you see something that you feel is not correct or right, use that as a prayer point and pray to God our heavenly father to change them, to bring His glorious light into their lives.

God is love and God loves everyone, that’s why he sent his only son Jesus to die for us, as all have fallen short and all of us are in need of Jesus.

    May God richly bless you

There is more to believers than a call to pray for others, there is also the command to search scriptures for truth, to warn others, to run from false teachers…have you not read these verses? How can you not? If you read the bible the word is full of them practically since the beginning. This is not slander!

  28. In 1978 I asked God to give me the gifts he wanted me to have. After that I began to experience spiritual gifting I would define by biblical standards as prophetic gifting. Like brother John Paul Jackson we both tried to bring this gifting into our walk with other Christians who often held the shallow cessasionist theological views about spiritual gifts. We who have been given prophetic gifting by God are upheld by God and the holy spirit gifting he has given us. If someone judges Gods’ gift they can end up blaspheming Gods’ Holy Spirit. That is a dangerous place to dwell. I won’t waste any more words on this subject with skeptics ;but will just leave the matter to God who defends his own Holy Spirit.

    • Colleen….go to scripture to understand better how God deals with His prophets and His people…good or bad….Consider what happens when ANYONE disobeys the word of the LORD!!! (pay close attention to verse 18) 1 Kings 13 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Message of the Man of God
13 And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. 2 Then he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord, and said, “O altar, altar! Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and men’s bones shall be burned on you.’” 3 And he gave a sign the same day, saying, “This is the sign which the Lord has spoken: Surely the altar shall split apart, and the ashes on it shall be poured out.”

4 So it came to pass when King Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, who cried out against the altar in Bethel, that he stretched out his hand from the altar, saying, “Arrest him!” Then his hand, which he stretched out toward him, withered, so that he could not pull it back to himself. 5 The altar also was split apart, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the Lord. 6 Then the king answered and said to the man of God, “Please entreat the favor of the Lord your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me.”

So the man of God entreated the Lord, and the king’s hand was restored to him, and became as before. 7 Then the king said to the man of God, “Come home with me and refresh yourself, and I will give you a reward.”

8 But the man of God said to the king, “If you were to give me half your house, I would not go in with you; nor would I eat bread nor drink water in this place. 9 For so it was commanded me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘You shall not eat bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way you came.’” 10 So he went another way and did not return by the way he came to Bethel.

Death of the Man of God
11 Now an old prophet dwelt in Bethel, and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel; they also told their father the words which he had spoken to the king. 12 And their father said to them, “Which way did he go?” For his sons had seen[a] which way the man of God went who came from Judah. 13 Then he said to his sons, “Saddle the donkey for me.” So they saddled the donkey for him; and he rode on it, 14 and went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. Then he said to him, “Are you the man of God who came from Judah?”

      And he said, “I am.”

15 Then he said to him, “Come home with me and eat bread.”

16 And he said, “I cannot return with you nor go in with you; neither can I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place. 17 For I have been told by the word of the Lord, ‘You shall not eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by going the way you came.’”

18 He said to him, “I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’” (He was lying to him.)

19 So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house, and drank water.

20 Now it happened, as they sat at the table, that the word of the Lord came to the prophet who had brought him back; 21 and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because you have disobeyed the word of the Lord, and have not kept the commandment which the Lord your God commanded you, 22 but you came back, ate bread, and drank water in the place of which the Lord said to you, “Eat no bread and drink no water,” your corpse shall not come to the tomb of your fathers.’”

23 So it was, after he had eaten bread and after he had drunk, that he saddled the donkey for him, the prophet whom he had brought back. 24 When he was gone, a lion met him on the road and killed him. And his corpse was thrown on the road, and the donkey stood by it. The lion also stood by the corpse. 25 And there, men passed by and saw the corpse thrown on the road, and the lion standing by the corpse. Then they went and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.

26 Now when the prophet who had brought him back from the way heard it, he said, “It is the man of God who was disobedient to the word of the Lord. Therefore the Lord has delivered him to the lion, which has torn him and killed him, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke to him.” 27 And he spoke to his sons, saying, “Saddle the donkey for me.” So they saddled it. 28 Then he went and found his corpse thrown on the road, and the donkey and the lion standing by the corpse. The lion had not eaten the corpse nor torn the donkey. 29 And the prophet took up the corpse of the man of God, laid it on the donkey, and brought it back. So the old prophet came to the city to mourn, and to bury him. 30 Then he laid the corpse in his own tomb; and they mourned over him, saying, “Alas, my brother!” 31 So it was, after he had buried him, that he spoke to his sons, saying, “When I am dead, then bury me in the tomb where the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones. 32 For the saying which he cried out by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel, and against all the shrines[b] on the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, will surely come to pass.”

33 After this event Jeroboam did not turn from his evil way, but again he made priests from every class of people for the high places; whoever wished, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places. 34 And this thing was the sin of the house of Jeroboam, so as to exterminate and destroy it from the face of the earth.

  29. Previously I posted my own personal experience of when John Paul Jackson once attempted and failed to prophecy accurately over me.

Now I will mentioned briefly some of the “fruit” I saw that came from his teachings/presence and the influence he had on my church.

To be fair, my church also was influenced by the Toronto Blessing etcetera, and everyone locally involved who had whatever role to play bears responsibility for what transpired overall in this congregation’s latter history.

    Here goes:

First, a woman in our church who was trained under JPJ and had a local reputation of being highly prophetic once gave me the most accurate “Word of Knowledge” I had ever received – up until that point. Today, I would definitely classify what she told me as a ‘cold reading’, compared to more clearly biblical and purposeful Words of Knowledge/Exhortation/Prophecy that I have received (the quality is demonstrably different, I believe). Anyway, not long after my experience knowing this woman, she committed suicide. Needless to say, this stunned the entire congregation. The reason given was that a prophecy given to her about her own life had failed to come true, and she utterly despaired. I have always been disturbed by the combination of her “accuracy “as a “prophetess” and her suicide.

Second, many “prophetic” words were given about the future and purpose of this church – much of course was grandiose and ego-feeding. As a result, this affected the church budget. Church funds were spent self-indulgently toward the end of these prophecies, and the church bankrupted itself altogether. A major part of the reason it no longer exists.

    • LP, that’s chilling to read. People put so much importance on these “prophetic words”. And you are right, they are cold readings. There’s no such thing as personal words of prophecy in the bible, which speak of the person, not of Christ. Not many are listening here, as you can see.
