Paul and the Third Heaven

2nd Corinthians 12:

1Boasting is necessary, though it is not profitable; but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a man was caught up to the third heaven. 3And I know how such a man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows— 4was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak. 5On behalf of such a man I will boast; but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in regard to my weaknesses. 6For if I do wish to boast I will not be foolish, for I will be speaking the truth; but I refrain from this, so that no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me.

If we were to carefully read these words we would come to an easy conclusion that Paul did not speak of things seen in this vision. He did not go on to boast of his great gift, nor that he had the power to manifest such a gift in others by the laying on of hands. He would not be allowed that credit.

Do you see that?

There are so many people today who would have us believe otherwise. And to our shame, such things are allowed to go on. They are believed. They are sought-after. And those who teach such things contrary to scripture are considered prophets. How can a prophet of God speak against the word of God?

  1. Sorry I do not know how to start a new subject.

I have heard that someone who was a leader in the prophetic movement, so called,
had become a Knight Templar. Knight Templars may well have been an occultic movement. I don’t know for sure but in my research some claim that they were. Also the idea of portals and songs such as “Open up the heavenlies, let a new song be released”…….this type of stuff is new age/occultic. Of course not all involved in this know that. But there is alot of material in websites and on you tube that interconnects these various things.

I know this is grisly but we must be aware that there are actual satanists who perform human and baby sacrifices and this has gone on before Christ and is now increasing. Many groups worship Lucifer (they do always admit he is satan but he is) and there are various occultic groups who are all directed and started by Satan himself. Satan wants to decieve and eternally destroy as many as he can and he has strategies for real Christians, too. I don’t want to emphasize or glorify him but we are under NO obligation to any man, priest or pope or ministry. They end up in destruction, as did Jonestown, for example. There are obvious cults out there but there are more subtle ones who sound biblical. Much of the new age has apparently crept into the charismatic movements and some say that was done initially deliberately.

Watch the music also. Even where there is good intention and actual miracles, there
can be satanic underpining. We are not to follow miracles or any physical manifestations
or feelings but the Word of God. It may seem more boring and dry but we do have to
    be careful.

Information on various denominations, groups and cults is not always accurate and there can be various angles.

    • Joy, yes, this is off topic, but still a part of the deception frenzy taking place in the church, throughout the world. I am wondering if you are thinking of Rick Joyner of Morningstar, who is known to be part of the Knights of Malta. Both Malta and Templar are Catholic/Masonic, having no part in Christianity. It can also be said of Todd Bentley whose tattoos bear similar witness of what he believes…

Opening portals and calling down angels is often done, but there is no scriptural basis for these demands. And you are correct, we are under no obligation to any man, another wide-spread deception taught by the word of faith teachers to instill fear into their followers.

  2. My wife and I have been battling so many of the same false doctrines and many more. Thank you for speaking up I have also been speaking up and been losing a lot of people but if the truth is not told many will be lost. I hope and pray the ones that have dropped off have had a seed of discernment planted. If you pray for truth and discernment please, please, please plant your feet because it’s not easy seeing all the enemy is doing to the body of Christ. I here people say God wins in the end and He does but that doesn’t mean that they win too. God bless you keep on fighting the good fight

  3. I had a vision where my spirit was caught up into seeing angels and beings in heaven once. I shared the experience with my pastor and he seemed to think I was exaggerating or making it up and so I wished I had kept it to myself. Humility is truly a greatly needed virtue to accompany someone like apostle Paul ,or another person with Prophetic visions . I agree with you m’kayla on that view you posted. Most often when i have shared some miracle with others it seemed to provoke envy and unbelief in them when I only intended to encourage their faith by sharing the encounters. Pride fullness and boasting has no place with spiritual gifts and miracles. Pride is the original sin and it always seeks to rob God of his glory and grace. Pride has taken down some who had great influence and authority for Gods’ name when they were at their greatest influence. No minister can ever arrive at the place where they can become boastful or proud of what God is doing through their ministry. Right then and there they will have their downfall.

    • Had you been praying before the vision? What do you think was the point of the vision? What did the angels look like (stupid question but curious). ajc
