Two Shall Become One Flesh

This from a man-friend and worthy of sharing!

FOR YOU LADIES:

“For this reason a MAN shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall BECOME ONE FLESH” Eph. 5:31

1. You cannot divided the number one  – – 1 divided by 1 = 1

2. Ever wonder why it wasn’t until Adam ate the fruit that both their eyes were opened? It’s because they were ONE, eve ate first but until Adam ate they could not have been plunged into spiritual darkness. The process was not complete until Adam ate. And, Adam knowingly, ate, knowing he was disobeying God.

3. Eve was not trying to liberate herself from her husband! If that were so, she would have never gave the fruit to her husband.

4. This is the most important part: Submission is a two way street in marriage, both are to submit to God, period. Both submit to each other, in different ways of course, but in reality, there is more of a submission role for the husband to the wife outlined in Ephesians 5 than there is for the wife to the husband. At the end of the day, they are still ONE.

  • Husbands are to love their wives as he does his own body.
  • If Husbands don’t love their wives, they don’t love themselves.
  • Husbands are to nourish and cherish his wife.
  • Husbands are to be “joined” to his wife. Joined in the Greek means to be glued, or cemented together.
  • Husbands are to love their wives AS CHRIST LOVES THE CHURCH and gave Himself for it.

I could go places with this but I don’t think the guy’s could endure it. So ladies, next time some preacher or your husband himself says you must submit…all you have to do is point out these five points and remind him he has a GREATER role of submission. Hope this helps. God bless!

On the Suffering of Violence

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12

I heard a voice say to me, “Everything will be used against you.” Later, while sitting at my vanity table I considered those words for a time and then from my make up drawer, I chose a dark purple eye pencil and wrote them down on the glass top of my vanity table –“Everything will be used against you.”  I considered them again.

Were these words of an attempted scare-tactic by the enemy, or were they a warning from the Lord in how thing were going to go for me, a kind of prophecy?  I did not like they way the words sounded in my head as I considered these options. I did not like the sound they made or the ominous sense of fear that seemed to rise from them. Uncertainty, the fear of the unknown. I didn’t like that word “everything” and what did that mean, exactly? Again, I looked at the words I had written in my own script, the color of purple eye liner now looking more like black, and thought how fittingly so that color! Still, one part of me did not like those words, yet another part of me seemed to draw a strange kind of strength from them.  I got up and walked out of my walk-in closet, snapping off the light as I went, leaving those words to themselves in the darkness.

This morning I read a post written by a dear friend Line Drawn in the Sand. The opening words seemed to be so profound and I wondered,“wow, why can’t I write things that say that?” As I read, I began to laugh out loud, because I realized they were my words.

“…will you be a follower of man, or will you risk all – your ministry, your reputation, your friendships, and one day maybe even your very life to follow Christ? These are becoming perilous, dangerous times to be called by His name.”

This was a question I had posed in 2009, when I first set up my blog, “M’Kayla’s Korner”.

Then and there I was hit with the impact of all that has happened in my life over the last six weeks or so, and again I wondered at the prophetic sound of my words and the words uttered from the voice, “Everything will be used against you”.

I read the words of my Lord and coming from Him, somehow it all seems to make better sense, at least for this moment.

Matthew 10:34 Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

35 For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, 36 and a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.

37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 and he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of me.

39 He who finds his life will lose it and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

Psalm 32 Maschil

Psalm 32

A Psalm of David. A Contemplation – Maschil

BLESSED is he whose transgression is forgiven,

Whose sin is covered

2 Blessed is the man whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,

And in whose spirit there is no deceit.

3 When I kept silent, my bones grew old

Through my groaning all day long.

4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;

My vitality was turned into the drought of summer.     Selah.

5 I acknowledged my sin to You,

And my iniquity I have not hidden.

I said. “I will confess my trasngressions to the Lord”,

And You forgave the iniquity of my sin.      Selah.

6 For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You

In a time when You may be found:

Surely in a flood of great waters

They shall not come hear him.

7 You are my hiding place;

You shall presever me from trouble;

You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.     Selah.

8 I will instruct and teach you in the way you should go;

I will guide you with My eye,

9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule,

Which have no unerstanding,

Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,

Else they will not come near you.

10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked;

But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.

11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice you righteous;

And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

Beautiful Words of Acts 17

Quote

Acts 17:22  So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious.

23 For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.

24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man,

25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.

26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place,

27 that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us,

28 for “‘In him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.

29 Being then God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.

30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,

31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”

32 Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked. But others said, “We will hear you again about this.”

33 So Paul went out from their midst. 34But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.

touched by another spirit

I believe this scripture to be a great explanation when Christians become influenced by the demonic in it’s various forms of false teachings, impartations, practice of things pagan, and false prophetic words. I’ve found need to use it twice today, and feel it may be helpful for many others who have found themselves so influenced.

2 Corinthians 11:3-5

3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!

Dealing with its influence is as simple as repentance, asking the Lord to remove anything unholy that may have touched or influenced us.  It is first necessary to realize and to confess that our acceptance of and practice of these things not taught in scripture, or in excess of it, is sin.

1 John 1:9 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

God is faithful We not only have the assurance of forgiveness, but we hold fast to our confession – our hope.

Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Being rooted and grounded in our faith, to God be the glory!

Ephesians 3:14 14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.

Amen.

We All Struggle…

Quote

From a dear friend to another, as prophecy is to build up, encourage and bring comfort…

We all struggle, we all stumble, and we all fall…… But our steps are ordered by God and we will rise again; because of our righteousness in Him.

Remember Eph. 1 God knew us, choose us and loved us before the foundation of the world….the beginning to the end. He knows how we messed up yesterday, what we’re going to trip over today and the pit He will have to pull us out of tomorrow. That’s part of the gift of His salvation, His redemption and deliverance from the things we find ourselves entangled in.

Peace is a Gift

Aside

Peace is in knowing who God is, the result of having built a firm foundation on His Word and believing that He is faithful to perform all that He has promised to do toward those who love Him.

Peace is not an emotion, it is not an act of the will, it is not a state of mind.

Peace is not a physical force that can be imparted to another through a spoken word.

Peace is the gift of God to those who believe.

Jesus did not just say “peace”. He said “My Peace“.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The Lord is Mighty

Praise God!

So as we relearn the things which we should have from the beginning, we do well to realize the power and position of the mighty Lord in relation to the deceitfulness of satan, gaining a new perspective in the battle! The Lord is God!

Ephesians 1~

15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

22 And he put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things which is the church,

23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

The Lord is God! Is there anything He cannot do? He is mighty to save!

Be encouraged. What about that bottle of tears?

The words of our Lord are precious and bring life to our drained souls. Blessed be His name and may you know this Lord who’s promised –

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

We all love to ponder about God saving our tears in a bottle, but we never quite got the meaning. Now we can.

PJ Miller at Sola Dei Gloria had this to say

Psalm 56:8 – Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? (link)

thanks PJ!

Quote

The separation of families is happening to many – See John 3:16-20 and 2 Corinthians 2:15-16

Many people are leaving churches, opting for aloneness or meeting in homes as a witness of false Christianity in its various forms is being revealed. The church, especially the westernized one has abandoned the reasons it was established in the first place.

2 Corinthians 4:7-??? be encouraged we are not alone, many brothers and sisters share and suffer in the same things.
