As you are aware, I came out of the false prophetic movement many years ago. Patricia King was someone I followed since the beginning as I was quite impressed with her testimony and with it the abandonment of witchcraft practices. Years later, when the Lord showed me the error of my ways I continued to follow Patricia simply out of curiosity. She was, and probably still is considered Todd Bentley’s spiritual mother. After his and the fall of Lakeland there seemed to be an enormous number of bizarre supernatural experiences – falling gemstones, dripping oil and angelic footprints. I followed Patricia’s fascination with these events as she chased them to different parts of the world. I even watched a youtube where she condoned dancing around a huge bonfire. I was then convinced that she never left witchcraft, and still believe it to this day. The truth being she is deceived and dangerous in her practice of things forbidden, and the unholy, leading the unsuspecting and untaught astray.
In the following Blogtalk session my friends Jackie Alnor and Susan Puzio discuss some of Patricia’s bizarre behavior and beliefs, and I have to say that even with my personal experience the things revealed on this program gave me the chills. If you take the time to listen you will understand without a doubt the connection Patricia has to witchcraft and new age practices. You will hear her admit to her practice of the Law of Attraction, which is the ungodly basis and foundation of Word of Faith. Could it be that we have entered a time when false prophets truthfully tell their beliefs?
John at The Word Like Fire offers some resources exposing erroneous doctrines of The Passion Translation, the famed New Apostolic Reformation “bible” If you or someone you know has one, please watch the video and see the information contained on his blog because it is not any where near the same as the words of a true bible.
An excellent end-times teaching from Charles Cooper. If you believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, as I once did, please be prepared to ask why you believe it to be true, and watch the video!
There was only one passage in the N.T. that forms the basis for it. This is the opinion of their greatest teachers. Now that Rev 3:10 no longer can be used as support for an explicit teaching for the Pretribulation rapture, the position has no scriptural support. There are no other passages that support it. The Pretribulation rapture doctrine is dead! Only those who do not want to be bothered with the facts can ignore it.
Over the years of researching, discussions with other believers, and personal spiritual experiences I’ve realized there may be times that we can become desperate for the presence of God. Our desperation can cause us to become vulnerable, and open teachings and practices that sound good to us in the beginning but are not grounded in His word.
We earnestly desire to hear from the Lord and search out places and other people known for their ability to hear from Him on our behalf. We forget the Holy Spirit indwells in each one of us, as believers, the one Christ said would come after His departure.
If we find ourselves in desperate need, let it be that we fall to the feet of our Lord and Messiah who loves us, and who died for us, rather than fall into the trap of one who would cause us grave harm. He promised He would never leave or forsake us.
John 14:15 If you love Me,keep My commandments. 16And I will pray the Father, andHe will give you anotherHelper, that He may abide with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with youand will be in you. 18I will not leave you orphans;I will come to you.
What if one day you began to question and research some of the things you witnessed as a Christian? As a result, your research proved irrefutable evidence that you had been practicing another religion in the name of God.
What if the source of power behind your charismatic gifts of prophecy, healing, and dream interpretation attributed to the Holy Spirit proved to be another spirit all together?
Who could you turn to if everyone you knew believed the same as you?
A former seer-prophet and healing rooms minister shares her experiences and quest for spiritual truth and spiritual freedom. Journey with the author as she exposes the false teachings found deep within the false prophetic and healing movements coveted by much of the Christian church today.
I am pleased and thankful to provide notice that the man named in this article, Tim Wirth, has left Moriel and all of its associations. Tim reports that the Lord opened his eyes to the wrongdoings at Moriel and has resigned because of the things he witnessed. He now works to expose the error in prayerful hopes that others will recognize the same. We know Jacob Prasch has waned worse and worse in compromise and decimation of the word of God, and that he continues to rail and insult anyone who stands against him. So, again, beware.
Blessings,
M’Kayla
Several years ago I came upon the teachings and writings of a very well known teacher, Jacob Prasch. We have had a little bit of discussion regarding his teachings and his not so nice temperament when others came forward and told of their experiences. I believe I have lost some readers because of his cruelty toward them.
Since there is always two sides to a story I was bothered, but moved on. Well, now I have had my own encounter and this is what I am here to expose. Here is where I will ask your forgiveness. I understand now the gravity of his abuse yet remain shaken.
Believe me, I am not happy to write this but it must be said.
For the last year, I have been listening to him quite a bit. I joined a couple of Moriel Friends groups on Facebook, most importantly for our discussion, Friends of Moriel TV, created and moderated by Tim Wirth. Tim has become involved with Moriel creating videos and doing radio work for the Moriel ministry. I became friends with Tim on Facebook a while back after he found my blog. He commended me for my work and we often exchanged ideas and short conversation through the private message option on Facebook. I grew to believe I could trust him which was a mistake, in retrospect.
A few days ago, Friends of Moriel TV, put out several videos that addressed the topic of women teaching men, coverings, why they “need a Mordecai”, etc. The teaching in these videos by Jacob was poorly done, more personal opinion than scripture. The points made were, well, not made – disjointed thoughts with very little scriptural backing. We would expect more from a man who is known for his claims of biblical knowledge and understanding of scripture, history and context in several languages.
I began to discuss these videos with a dear friend of mine as both of us were quite concerned. One of our concerns was the way the other women in the group reacted to his teachings. When I say cult-like I am not being dramatic. One poor woman stated that she is waiting for her Mordecai. Huh?
I posed a comment in the group for Jacob. You see, if women are indeed to remain silent, or to teach only women, why is it that I, and many other women like me, who are not married and not involved in a church – aka – not under a “covering” able to speak and explain the word of God?
Here is my comment that I copied from the Moriel group, tagging Tim Wirth –
M’Kayla Kelly Tim Wirth – I would like to pose a question in using my own experience and the work I have done which you are aware of. I am not married, I do not belong to a church. Yet, my work in exposing the false teachings of the International Association of Healing Rooms, the false prophetic movement, John Paul Jackson’s dreams and visions, etc., has proved to be quite effective in helping many, many people. This includes men. And it extends beyond just the blogging as I have communicated through e-mail and had telephone conversations with both women and men who have come to me for help. I have been put in the position to expose and to confront the male pastors and ministry leaders I once worked side by side with regarding their deceptive teachings and followings.
I feel something very important has been left out in these videos regarding women. I have a great respect for Jacob – have prayed for him and his family, the ministry, illness, and have often times defended his teaching to those who do not understand midrash, etc., and unfortunately would rather spread gossip about him than listen to the truth. As I have told you, I hold Jacob in high regard and respect.
Given the fact that God knows everything, it comes to no surprise to him that one day women would be operating in these areas, without supposed need for a Mordecai “covering”. In addition, the scriptures make a clear distinction between wives and women.
There is evidence in deeper study, certain women were restricted for specific reasons, during a specific time frame, but it did not apply to all women throughout all time. I am only a bit familiar with the thinking of St Augustine regarding women, which is horrendous, yet I am seeing it reflected in these videos. We can name Piper, McArthur, the list is long…
I am thankful the Lord restored my mind and my relationship with him. All the learning I did in coming out of the deception in 2008 was through him. There was no one to help me understand, yet through the Holy Spirit the truth of scripture unfolded, resulting in the ability to expose the false doctrine and lead others out, and yes, teach men as well. A great burden was placed on me to right the wrong I had done through my own false witness, false prophetic words and in being a leader in these things. It was huge to me and the grief was worse than what I experienced in the loss of my daughter. However, it was never my plan to do these things, it just happened that way, thru the leading and yes – blessing of the Lord.
I blog, I have done 4 interviews through the internet, blogtalk and a couple of others, and I am currently writing a book and am considering my own blogtalk radio.
Do men listen to me? Yes, they do and just as we see in the NT, they commend me for it. And you are one of those men, Tim. I am asking Jacob to rethink these videos because I believe they are damaging and doing an injustice to Christian women who are being led to battle, side by side with the men just as we have been doing throughout time. And as I said, there is evidence that women had more freedom in the NT than what is being presented.
As for a covering, mine is named Jesus Christ. Please consider there are women all over the world who will tell you the same as I have. We are not usurping men. We are not Jezebels. We are not out of sync. We are certainly not hens. We are true Christian women who are fighting for the cause of Christ in the hopes of saving others. We are the women who know one day it may be necessary to lay down our lives for our faith. Please Jacob, I am respectfully asking you to reconsider. And don’t insist we wear the spiritual burqa, as I for one, will not. There is too much at stake.
Just after I posted this comment, I also sent it to Moriel.org, yet told no one I had done this. Shortly afterward, Tim began to private message me which went on for quite a few hours that same day and began again early the next morning. You see, Tim stated he has read my blog and found it to be quite helpful, yet he stated that what I did was not actually “teaching doctrine”. He kept trying to reassure me that no one had called me a Jezebel, which I never thought or claimed had taken place. He seemed desperate in his attempts and could not seem to understand that I had several times simply requested that my comment be passed to Jacob for review.
Let me add, I do not care whether or not a person believes I am teaching doctrine. I have settled the “woman shut up and sit down” argument years ago after doing research on my own. I was remiss to not post it here on my blog, but there had been so much going on in my life and things I needed to do pertaining to the blog that I lost sight of it. My apologies.
My concern, if Jacob has such a deep knowledge of the bible and the original languages, why does he come to completely different conclusions than others who have the same kind of education and knowledge? I am speaking of The Key Word Hebrew-Greek Study Bible, edited by Spiros Zodhiates. Or, the writings of Richard and Katherine Clark-Kroeger in “I Suffer Not a Woman”. And I know there are more to be listed but theses will suffice for the point.
I have no qualms and no problem accepting the order God has put in place. I do however believe that women have been given much more freedom to minister in their gifts than man has allowed. I believe in proper context the bible is quite clear on this topic. To proclaim and teach otherwise, Dear Reader, is a grave injustice to the work of the cross.
Here is the response, in video form and posted to the group from Jacob Prasch and Tim Wirth – believe me, it is not pretty.
I wanted to asked the Imam, because these restrictive teachings sound more like Islam than they do Christianity, when’s the stoning?
I immediately said my peace after watching this wretched mess from a madman, and left the group. Tim unfriended me without cause. I don’t understand how it is we cannot have civil and meaningful conversation. What are they so afraid of?
Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called, 2with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3giving diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as also ye were called in one hope of your calling; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.
There will be more to come regarding what I believe to be biblical regarding women. This will be done with a group of friends so expect to see it on another blog as well as this one.
Blessing and Peace in Jesus. And thank you all for your encouragement, love and prayers over the years. I pray we STAND.
I was the lead intercessor for the Vancouver Prayer and Healing Rooms, which was located in Vancouver, WA. They were under the “umbrella” of the International Association of Healing Rooms, in Spokane, WA, headed by Cal Pierce, whose doctrine and beliefs mirror that of Bill Johnson, Bethel.
Like many others I loved to worship God to sing to Him. I began to collect an assortment of worship CD’s to use while we “soaked” to prepare for the “prayer ministry”. My favorite was Misty Edwards of International House of Prayer, Mike Bickel. I wasn’t crazy about Bickel’s teaching, but I loved IHOP’s music. And so I used it as often as I could, along with a mix of other popular artists at that time.
Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:4-5 to see to it that no one deceives us. It is a statement that is of utmost importance, yet one that is easily overlooked. However, I had often prayed that prayer, and though I was allowed to be involved in some very bad teaching and crazy supernatural experiences, God eventually opened my eyes to the truth and by His grace and love led me out.
The bible gives us a great number of warnings about false teachers and false prophets. We are told to test these things, to flee and to warn others to do the same. See 2 John, 2 Peter 2, Romans 16:17-18. Paul called them out by name, 2 Timothy 2:16-18, and warned others day and night for years in tears so they would not be taken in Acts 20:28-31.
Music is an extremely powerful force and is one that will be used to worship the Beast when the time comes. See Daniel 3, Revelation 13. I believe we are seeing pre-cursors to that and have been for some time. It is so important we leave behind what sounds good to us, or what feels good and right to us and test these things according to the word of God – Acts 17:11, 2 Timothy 2:15.
I am fully convinced that the demonic uses “worship” music as a type of conjuring, to bring up the demonic forces that are part of these organizations’ false teachings. Where false teaching exists, false worship follows along side, and the bible calls such teacher accursed – Galatians 1:8-9. It is a widely known fact that the most beautiful music comes from organizations who teach of another gospel.
Just as with false teaching there is a bit of a lie, the same holds for the music. Oftentimes the false teaching is accepted because it sounds good. The same applies to their music – it sounds good. It appeals to our flesh, to our senses and we are pulled in and trapped. It does not matter that the words they sing are true because the foundation is false. There will always be a mixture of truth and the lie. This is why I understand that when we sing these songs we are worshiping the false jesus, the one Paul warned about. He also stated if we allowed it, we would put up with it- 2 Corinthians 11:4. If you are drawn to this music and feel you need it for worship, this is what he spoke of, to be taken in and controlled by it.
Worship is about God. It should never be about how it makes us feel, but how it lifts up the truth of the Lord in telling Him how great He is for all He has done for us! There is such a huge difference. And there is more to worship than music, it is how we live our lives in submission to God and not to ourselves.
I often hear Christians defend the music of Bethel, Jesus Culture, Morningstar, IHOP, Hillsong, and all the rest because it’s so beautiful and uplifting to the hearer. But my friends, we are told that Satan comes as an angel of light with a great power to deceive, 2 Corinthians 11:14, he is beautiful, and he once held the place of worship leader in heaven- Isaiah 14:11-14.
This should give us great pause to question who we are truly singing about and where it comes from. If the doctrine is false the worship is false, and the two cannot be separated. Please don’t be deceived. We are called to be pure. Bust up your CD’s and delete your links! Sing your own songs! Be blessed in your freedom from all the works of darkness while there is still time. God is a jealous God and we must worship Him in spirit and in truth!
My friends at Closing Stages pointing out the fallacies behind the statements Jacob Prasch has made – “Because of the fall, women are hyper-sensitive, men are insensitive”.
“ A Series of Unfortunate Events” is most commonly classified as children’s fiction, but it has also been classified in more specific genres such as gothic fiction or absurdist fiction, because of its strange characters, improbable storylines, and black comedy.
This is probably the closet one can come in describing and defining a short series of “teachings” on women; recently given by Jacob Prasch. Even young believers with open Bible would be able to see the fiction and lack of scripture to support what he claims to be Biblical; and black comedy because you either laugh or you cry at the absurdity of how this topic is mishandled.
Because there are repetitive statements (if I say it enough you will believe it) throughout most of these videos, the decision was made to address each video in sections.
I am pleased and thankful to provide notice that the man named in this article, Tim Wirth, has left Moriel and all of its associations. As we well know, speaking truth is often met with offense by nay-sayers, people who don’t like to know or hear what the bible has to say in certain areas. Anymore, the phrases “Judge Not!” or “You shouldn’t judge!” have taken on somewhat of a mantra effect, as though the words when spoken would bring some kind of protective power, a sort of talisman, if you will.
Well, the bible teaches that judgement is right and necessary and is quite specific on how and when it should be done. The blogger at Following Jesus Christ provides us with clarification regarding the topic of righteous, or as he puts it, “right judgment”. Read on and be better prepared for the next time a nay-sayer tosses the pet phrase your way.
One of the most profound and destructive lies spouted by both Christians and non-Christians alike, is that believers in Jesus Christ are not to ever judge anyone or anything. We are simply told to live and let live, as our culture and even our Christian friends disintegrate before our eyes…falling into apostasy, and away from all that is true and right before our great God.
