It’s been quite some time since I posted anything regarding violence and abuse. I have read that that abuse and the number of its victims has increased since the imposed Covid19 lockdown, and wanted to offer some help for anyone out there who may need it. 

If you are in a dangerous situation please get in touch with the National Abuse Hotline by calling 800-799-7233 or contacting the informational website and chat line even if you don’t feel that you are ready to leave. There is help available. Please don’t let your fear cause you to become a statistic!

It is of the utmost importance that you understand that abuse, no matter the form is not God’s will for your life no matter who you are. You are not responsible for the actions of another person regardless of your gender, age, or religion!  As a Christian woman, it is not your calling to stay in the home to save your husband, even though you may have been told this by clergy. That is a lie. 

The cycle of violence isn’t always something everyone understands. However, the more you study it, the more you do understand. The cycles of violence happen when a cycle of events happens in an abusive relationship.

The stages don’t all happen at once and it’s not all done the same way in each relationship. Sometimes it can happen within a couple of hours, while other times, it may take up to a year to complete the cycle. Continue reading to understand the cycle of violence.

Halal Meat Warning – Eat Pork!

“The other day I wrote about Costco stocking their meat counters with “Halal” meat.”

So yesterday I shopped for groceries at my local Walmart. As usual, I bought a bag of frozen chicken breasts, but this time I checked to make sure the meat was not labeled “Halal.” Here’s why.

Halal is the Islamic term that basically means the meat is lawful to eat for a devout Muslim. What makes it lawful or acceptable is that the meat has been processed in a very specific way. Unlike kosher food, where the physical processing of the meat is the focus, for Islam it is the spiritual component that makes the meat lawful.

For lawful (halal) meat in Islam, the animal must be killed while the butcher faces Mecca, and either the butcher cries “Allah Akbar” or a tape plays the words over a loud speaker.

Allah is greater…

I think not! Sounds a little like food sacrificed to an idol/other god, huh?

I am in the cattle business, and believe me when I tell you that Halal kill plants are CONSTANTLY being cited and shut down by the USDA for horrific, infractions. Most of these plants are in Michigan and upstate New York .

One of the things that halal kill plants are notorious for is putting already-dead animals in the human consumption line. They will go pick up a dead cow off of a farm or ranch and instead of putting it in their rendering tank where the resulting “tankage” is worth pennies on the dollar as pet food or industrial products, they will shackle the dead animal on the normal kill line and process it as human food which is the highest-dollar product.

Since Islam teaches dishonesty (taqiyyah) and no regard for one’s neighbor, this kind of sickening behavior is standard.

Halal plants are also notorious for general citations for filth and uncleanliness. I have toured normal cattle slaughter plants, and guys, you could eat off of the floor. Everything is white and men walk around with water hoses and steam guns constantly keeping everything in a state of spotlessness.

Halal plants are filthy. A lot of Halal meat is also labeled as “organic.”

Again, don’t be fooled into thinking that “halal” means “better.” It isn’t. I would never, ever knowingly eat halal meat purely from a food safety perspective.
I like pork – a lot! 🙂

Here in the UK it’s a lost cause. They have brought in halal everywhere by stealth, without asking us. The prevailing attitude here is “we can never offend the Muslims” and everything in society from public Christmas decorations to street signs, TV advertising, theatre productions – just every section of society is geared to humbling ourselves to Islam. Not only is almost all meat halal, but UK food has changed in restaurants and supermarkets so that you have to hunt for anything non-spicy or traditionally British. The stupid thing is, if you ask UK Muslims they say “we are NOT offended” and this is just political correctness gone mad. But as far as halal meat, we all have to get used to the idea that it WILL become universal, especially as immigration spirals out of control. That is the least of our worries as some cities have already begun to impose Sharia Law, and the Muslims already have their own Parliament and Banking system! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not racist and I don’t “hate Muslims” or anybody else. I just feel that as an Englishwoman and a Christian I also have rights. MY views and my vote should count too!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 20, 2011 – New York State Agriculture Commissioner Darrel J. Aubertine today alerted consumers to undeclared eggs in “Halal Plain Cake” and “Halal Fruit Cake”, packaged and distributed by Narala Bakery Inc. of 744 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. People who have severe sensitivity to eggs may run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this product.

The recalled “Halal Plain Cake” and “Halal Fruit Cake” are packaged in random weight clear plastic wrapped packages. No UPC code or manufactures code are available. The product was sold to various locations throughout the five boroughs of New York City.

Routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets’ food safety inspectors and subsequent analysis of the product by the New York State Food Laboratory revealed the product contained eggs, which are not declared on the label.

No illnesses have been reported to date to this Department in connection with this product. Consumers who have purchased “Halal Plain Cake” or the “Halal Fruit Cake” should discard the product. Consumers with questions may contact Narala Bakery Inc. at (718) 287-8494.

Apparently, Rick Warren “pastor” of Saddleback has received a bit of criticism in response to his “Daniel Plan” and subsequent teaching given by the three experts – Oz, Hymen, and Amen.

on not losing my mind

Like many of you I have been watching the things going on in the Middle East and here in America. We are certainly seeing events that we have not seen in the past, or at least what we are witnessing is in greater proportion than before. It reminds me of the coming of Christ, as we are seeing so many countries affected and in need of peace. Who will be their peacemaker?

It makes me think of the minds of people with a need to assemble, to rise up to speak against the evil brought against them, the unfairness of those who were set in place to protect them and to see to their own good. After all, isn’t that the makings of a true leader? To protect and lead those who put them in office? Isn’t that what we have been taught to do here in America, to speak against all that is wrong? To speak our minds, to vote?

This isn’t what we are seeing these days. We expect the evil from third world countries, those who are under the harsh rule of the dictator. We hate their treatment but we are certainly aware of it. We do not expect it from our leaders here in America. But, sadly this is exactly what is taking place as Obama’s heavy hand waves away so many rights of the people. Rights that have been enacted by law long before he was ever born, long before those who stood up for what was right ever expected to see a dictator rise from the loins of American soil. But, it is happening before our very eyes and we have been rendered powerless to stop the tirade against freedom. Ok. Breathe.

A few days ago I began to pull together some articles as I again see an uprising in the Evangelical realm. Hehe. If we dare to continue to call it “evangelical”. I like Apprising’s word – evanjellyfish much better. (Thanks Ken!) Why? Because so many who we once adhered to as great teachers of the word of God have lost their backbone to stand for the truth. Instead they gather in groups which they refer to as conferences, doing the good ol buddy routine, endorsing the plans of this one, the success of that one.

They bring in heretical doctrine, an oxymoron in its own terms. One claims, “this is the way, follow me”. They trade literally in the name of Jesus. They forget the church was born and still exists through the power of the Holy Spirit and not through do it my way programs and how to books. But they continue to write them. They need to teach us a method instead of teaching how to be Spirit-led which is what we are supposed to be. They bring in gurus from other religions under the guise of health and deeper spirituality. They teach meditation. They teach yoga. They teach breath prayers. They teach unity. They teach another jesus. Do not be fooled to think otherwise.

We have the technology. We have the documentation.

How many of us were offended at Obama’s remark that America is no longer a Christian nation? It is the one thing I agreed with him on. It is not. America has gone “New Age”.

Right there I am reminded of the return of the Lord when He questioned if He will find faith here. What have we as a Christian nation allowed ourselves to become?

Not only did I feel angry at these things taking place, but I felt ignored. Who is listening to this silly – once a false prophet and was wrong then squat of a middle-aged woman. A woman. It was the woman who held the apple after all. It is the woman who is weaker. The woman who must not be permitted to speak.

It was then I found myself in a silent scream and not for the first time  – – “IF I BE LIKENED TO EVE, WHERE IS ADAM WHO WAS GIVEN THE WORD??”

I am confessing I began to think “why bother” and from there I began to wonder if truly I was losing my mind, not for the first time either. Others don’t seem to concerned about this uprising of evanjellyfish. Maybe everything is ok and I only need to go get a job and trust the people who were put over me to do the right thing. After all we need to unite, right? In our numbers we are stronger. Clothe the naked, feed the poor, see to the needs of those less fortunate.

Hmmm…. and I Hmmm-ed for a few days. I fumed as I Hmmm-ed and slowly simmered in my silent anger.

That was when I stumbled on Ingrid’s blog. I didn’t even know she had a blog! There I saw some of the same articles posted as I had put into my “read it later” file for safe keeping. I realized I was not the only one, and in that one precious thought I realized I was not in the process of losing my mind. Thank God for Ingrid. And thank Him for the others who research and write who have a deeper understanding of things that I know so little of. Because of them I have learned to listen to that bugginess going off in my head – that thing that says this is not right, but won’t let me rest until I find why.

Sneeze The Wrong Way: Meet The New Mommy

Is there a push lately to make us afraid of germs, afraid of each other? I think so!

If we don’t get it together and learn to sneeze correctly the next thing we will be guilty of is a hate crime by way of deliberately spreading germs, namely the H1N1!

Someone please explain to  me how I will blow my nose after sneezing if my nose is tucked into my elbow.

WA State University Reports 2000 With Swine Flu

This is absolutely bizarre that so many can be sick so suddenly, and at a time of the year when hardly anyone is sick, much less with the flu. Two thousand cases and school has only been in session for about a week and a half!  We’ve been hearing about this for months and now here it is!  Makes a person wonder, huh?

About 2,000 students at Washington State University have reported symptoms of swine flu since the fall semester began a week and half ago, representing one of the largest outbreaks of the virus on a U.S. college campus.

“This is really something we haven’t seen before. It’s very unusual to see flu continue to occur over the summer. It’s very unusual to see it start to increase this rapidly in August and September.”
