Serious Concerns Regarding The Passion Translation

John at The Word Like Fire offers some resources exposing erroneous doctrines of The Passion Translation, the famed New Apostolic Reformation “bible” If you or someone you know has one, please watch the video and see the information contained on his blog because it is not any where near the same as the words of a true bible.

A Shared Deception: The Lies We Believed

Finally, my friends!

E-Book Available For Purchase!! – https://amzn.to/37Tgcvb

What if one day you began to question and research some of the things you witnessed as a Christian? As a result, your research proved irrefutable evidence that you had been practicing another religion in the name of God.

What if the source of power behind your charismatic gifts of prophecy, healing, and dream interpretation attributed to the Holy Spirit proved to be another spirit all together?

Who could you turn to if everyone you knew believed the same as you?

A former seer-prophet and healing rooms minister shares her experiences and quest for spiritual truth and spiritual freedom. Journey with the author as she exposes the false teachings found deep within the false prophetic and healing movements coveted by much of the Christian church today.

Movies that Imitate Christianity, Blogtalk – Susan Puzio

I just had another blogtalk with Susan Puzio addressing some of the things I had previously been involved with. We also looked at the NRB Proclaim 16 conference that went on this past week, the speakers and contributors and the movies that are being released.

I see there is a mix of Christianity, Catholicism with influences of other beliefs, most of which will not be backed up in scripture. Have a listen, watch the movie trailers linked at Proclaim 16 on the footer that I spoke of and use the information to help others avoid these pitfalls. With all the information we have available it is easy to connect the dots. By using our bible as reference it is just as easy to recognize false doctrine coming from these movies.

We need to rid ourselves of emotions and think clearly and soberly at these deceptions which will grow stronger and more convincing as time goes on. There is a real coming together of religions forming as one. The media, entertainment sectors of our society, as well as our government are helping it take shape. Many are blind and need help to see.

Media Sphere Promotes Another False Jesus

One of Proclaim 16’s “premiere supporters” has plans to release a new movie in the springtime. The story line depicts a “young messiah named Jesus” coming into his own, so to speak, performing miracles.

The Young Messiah (link)

“Discover the Savior when He was a child.”

When the mystery of Jesus’s divinity begins to unfold in His early years, He turns to His parents for answers. But Mary and Joseph, in an effort to protect their child, are afraid to reveal all they know. How do you explain the ways of the world to its Creator? How do you teach the Teacher? How do you help the Savior who came to save you?

The trailer begins with “Mary” speaking, “Listen well, for I am only going to tell the story once.” We see her sitting under a tree with a young boy, as she continues. “One morning my room filled with light and it spoke to me. It said from my womb would come a son, you, named ‘Jesus'”.

But is that the true context of the conversation according to the bible? Was Mary hearing only from a light that filled her room?

Luke 1:26And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Mary was talking to an angel, not to “it”, a light. So from the beginning the movie is playing down the important details of scripture. Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, Mary who would conceive by the “overshadowing” of the Holy Spirit. A miracle in itself!

For with God nothing shall be impossible!

The truth is we don’t know much regarding the childhood of Jesus. The first time He comes on the scene after His birth and the mention of his circumcision, is told in Luke 2 when His parents, Joseph and Mary, lost track of him.

41Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. 42And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 43And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. 44But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. 45And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. 46And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. 47And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. 48And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? 50And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. 51And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

In verse 50 it said they didn’t understand. Jesus knew things they did not, could not because it had not yet been revealed! Referring back to the quote questioning how they would explain…I don’t believe for a moment that they had to explain anything to Jesus. After all, He came to earth as a man, but He was still God. While I understand the concept is hard to grasp from a human mindset, we are called to believe. God will give us understanding. And on that note, it is apparent the writer does not know about the God he is supposedly revealing to the world. From the onset of the movie he denies the a great miracle, the one of the virgin birth of Christ and how it came to be!

We are living in a time where false signs and miracles are being sought after more and more. And we know the time is coming with the Antichrist will operate through them in ways we have not yet seen. They will be so astonishing that many will be blinded to the truth. I am added this blurb because we need to understand the difference between a wow factor and a real miracle. Jesus came moving in signs and wonders, performing miracles because He is God. For this movie to downplay the importance of the timing of His miracles and His ministry, and to imply they were happening during a time they were not is to deny who Christ truly is and why He came. We all know that God does things in His time and for His reasons. Jesus did not operate in miracles until His time. And it was during His first miracle, the wedding at Cana in John 2 when He reminded His mother of that very thing – the importance of timing!

Since at this point we only have a movie trailer and not a full movie to review, I found a link here  which details the movie story line.  The author does a very good job… contradicting himself. I have to say it is a very well written and emotional description of what is nothing more than a very dangerous practice – filling in where the bible is silent. I believe that our Lord in all of His wisdom had a reason for His silence. To speak in an area that He did not is another step into Gnosticism, or the need to understand things that we have no real way of knowing.

I’ll pull quotes. 🙂

Biopic of Jesus as a child becoming aware of his identity as the Son of God.

I saw an early screening of The Young Messiah that is set to release in March.
Written by Betsy and Cyrus Nowrasteh, and directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh.

I’m the guy who wrote the critique of the Noah script by Aronofsky that went viral and exposed its anti-Biblical agenda. I’m not a fundamentalist, but I represent and understand a significant huge proportion of the contemporary Christian viewing public who are totally okay with creative license when it comes to Bible movies, AS LONG AS YOU DON’T SUBVERT THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE. That’s what Noah did, and that’s what Exodus did. They subverted the Biblical narrative with their own paganism and atheism. And that is why they failed in terms of audience potential (along with just being plainly bad movies). Biblical fidelity is not about petty details, but about the meaning.

Remember his words – AS LONG AS YOU DON’T SUBVERT THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE

I looked up the word subvert just for kicks. It means to undermine power and authority of an established system. Oh.

I am here to say that the new film coming out in March, The Young Messiah, is NOT one of those films. The Young Messiah is a great movie, well told, and very faithful to the spirit of the Gospel of what it may have been like for the young seven-year old Jesus to come of age as the Son of God.

What it may have been like…may have been like…

It is adapted from Anne Rice’s Catholic novel, Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt

If you aren’t aware Anne Rice was once famous for her vampire novels, then supposedly came to Christ and wrote a book on his younger years. So, where did she get her ideas from?

Remember, we aren’t subverting…

And while there are obviously some fictional miracle scenes, they are entirely within the parameters of possibility and don’t contradict Scripture. This is doctrinally safe imagination.

Fictional miracle scenes, fictional, meaning untrue..

Exactly what is doctrinally safe imagination?

Its’ subverting.

You see why I am shaking my head. I will let you read the rest of the article on your own.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify to every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I know many people believe that scripture applies to the book of Revelation only. But consider that Jesus Christ is referred to as the Word in John 1, how can we agree it doctrinally safe to proclaim events not written about Him?

No. I am not ok with this movie. It is not an avenue to gain biblical understanding even though there is some truth to it. But, without that mixture the lie wouldn’t be palatable.

Pray for the wisdom of others.

Building the Sphere of Media Influence

1 John 2:15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

Upcoming next month, Proclaim 16

Proclaim 16, the NRB International Christian Media Convention, is a four-day, jam-packed event that connects, equips, and edifies thousands of Christian communicators – from broadcasters to producers, writers to publishers, managers to pastors, artists to consultants. This is a “must attend” event for Christian communicators. You will hear outstanding internationally known speakers and artists, have the opportunity to attend numerous networking events, and receive helpful industry insights.

If you’ve attended before, you know the Convention is only half of the attraction. Experience our award-winning Exposition, featuring approximately 200 companies. The booths of the exhibit floor make up an active marketplace of products and services that can expand and enhance your organization. From innovative ideas and endeavors to must-have tools and equipment to organizations that influence millions around the world, the Expo has it all!

This event is a coming together under what can only be described the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) 7 Mountains, the sphere of Media/Entertainment. If you aren’t familiar with the 7 Mountains, it’s based on the premise that we, as believers, must take over the world for Christ. Until this is accomplished Christ cannot return, the belief which is commonly referred to as “dominionism”. There are believed to be 7 areas (spheres, mountains, etc.) of societal or cultural influence, being Religion, Family, Education, Government, Media, Arts/Entertainment, Business. The 7 Mountains came around years back when scripture from 2 Corinthians 10 was taken out of context and applied as  personal direction to a small group of Christian friends. Since that time, the concept has been popularized by many people – C Peter Wagner, Cindy Jacobs, Bill Johnson, Rick Joyner, etc., and the most well known teacher of this theory is Lance Wallnau. For more information, please refer to  7 Mountain – Dominion and New Apostolic Reformation Categories here on my blog.

As the quote above states  scheduled speakers, include Rick Warren, Roma Downey, and the Kindrick Brothers, combined with supporters such as TBN, CBN, Regent University. See here for a line up of speakers, and here for the detailed schedule.

We know from previous research that Rick Warren is heavily into supporting what he terms Chrislam, the combining of Christian beliefs with Islam. We are also aware of his peace plan which mirrors that of the United Nations and that his methods for promoting Christianity is far from scriptural as with everything else he does.

We know that Roma Downey is Catholic and her version of what she deems Christianity is much different from that of the bible. Yet she and her husband have made a name for themselves through the media and false teaching.

We know that the Kindrick Brothers create some great movies- but at the core they are based on emotionalism, which is of the flesh and their themes are grounded in word of faith teaching. Their last movie The War Room starred a woman who heavily promotes contemplative prayer, who isn’t even an actress. I will not discount the thought there is a deliberate connection between the two. Having been an “intercessor” with an organization which had a “war room” I can attest these ideas are rooted in pride. Yes, we are called to pray, but not in the way this movie and word of faith teaches. Please understand that there is a difference. Read a well-written and informative review of the movie here.

We know the organizations of Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN, 700 Club) both promote false prophets and teachers of charismania, word of faith, the supernatural of false dreams and visions, etc.

We know that we are warned in scripture to not do as the pagans or unbelievers and to not be like them and have discussed this point often in exposing false teachings and the practice of other religions as part of Christianity.

We know that in the end times there will be a joining together of religions and this is the main concern I have with these types of gatherings. As with this event we can clearly see this taking place. Many of us are already aware because of the deception going on inside churches and para-church organizations as we have witnessed our churches becoming something other than what they once were and our warnings to wake up go unheeded.

Aside from that is also the fact that this method of spreading the gospel is based on man-made effort of the world and not on the reliance of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts, the things that set us apart from the world.

Instead, we see some of the most well known and influential people deemed as Christians joining forces with the Hollywood movie and film industry. We should seriously stop and think about that last point because most everything coming out of Hollywood shows a vehement hate for God and Christianity as a whole. Do I also need to point out the horror stories of forced sex, rape and molestation that goes along with Hollywood careers of wanna-be and established actors and actresses?

So why do these “movers and shakers” of Christianity join forces with them? I believe we have already had that answer given to us which we should take great heed to understand – Matthew 24. I would find it safe, though very sad to say that most of the speakers and exhibitors listed in the links above no longer stand for Jesus Christ. This is why our care and concern is needed when one claims to come in the name of Jesus and offers to teach others. And yes, they will often give the basics of the gospel correctly, but it is what they do and say after those words that will tell whether they are truly of God. It is also defined in who they join forces with. These are areas that we need to pay close attention to. It is not enough that someone uses the name of Jesus.

What is the fruit? Is it money? Is it fame and fortune? I believe this to be the case for Proclaim 16, as I see it as a set up for what is coming on the earth. Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world (John 8:36 )! Why are they trying to make it as though it is?

Have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. Ephesians 5:11

1 John 4 How Well Are We Learning? –

Have you ever read another person’s words and thought to yourself “I could have written that”? Well, here we are…

This is all very reminiscent of when I was in the open, honest and upfront titled “new age ‘christian’ church”. Back in the day when Bethel was just a glimmer in satan’s eye. We too visited the graveyards and set the demons free all over the world. We did mighty works and did an amazing amount of what appeared to be ‘good works’, there were many miracles, signs and wonders. I witnessed cancer, hiv and unexplained illnesses cured. The majority of these were a temporary healing, since none of those we cast demons from actually repented of sin and turned their lives over to Jesus Christ. The demon was cast out and many more came back with it, to the empty house.

We (just like Bethelites) embraced the assistance of demons and considered it to be great fun. Those demons who masquerade as angels were more than willing to help find lost articles and give a word in an itchy ear. Honestly, some of those demons are quite ugly and smell horrible, just sayin’, that is when you see them in their true form.
All of this also brings to mind a quote I ran across recently from John G. Lake: His Life His Sermons, His Boldness of Faith, Kenneth Copeland Publications, 1995, p13: “It is not honoring to Jesus Christ that sickness should possess us. We do not want disease. We want to be gods”.
Yep, those silly new agers in denial are being taught very seductively that they too are gods. Which has been the satanic agenda ever since the real God threw that wanna be rascal right out of heaven. Unfortunately, Bethel simply denies their new age title and has become a leading force in the worship of a false jesus, also known as an antichrist.
I praise Yah many, many times a day for rescuing me and saving me from certain damnation. I was one messed up pup for years after the new age, who didn’t want to listen to reason from those regular Christians, who read the Bible faithfully and studied The Word. (It was pounded into my head that the Bible could not be trusted as the actual Word of God, since it was written and rewritten many times over by mere humans) When I came to my senses, via an ‘enlightenment’ and walked away from that nacc, my family fell under massive attack from the forces of evil. I was pushed down the stairs twice, in the dark sides effort to shut me up and keep me from talking.

The last time was just a little over a year ago when I began speaking out in my word of faith/charismatic church concerning the similarities of what I walked out of years ago and what I was witnessing in the church through the teachings of Randy Clark and Bill Johnson (supernatural schools). However, today I shout hallelujah, for my God is faithful. It has been a very long journey of healing, which at this point God has turned to his highest good by delivering to me ample time to read and study His Word. I am so grateful that my Father has lovingly guided me into His truth, which abides in Scripture.
If the people that are seeing and interacting with these so-called angels would test the spirits as written in 1John 4, and become brutally honest with themselves they just might be blessed with seeing exactly who is the driving force behind these teachings that are leading them in the direction of the wide gate. (I would advise here to be very careful what you ask for, you might just get it).

Today, I find that I truly feel sorry for the Johnson’s, and the Clark’s (as well as many others) who have been lead astray. Especially though, I pray that my ‘sisters’ would become bold enough to ask in the name of Jesus Christ that they be shown God’s Absolute Truth of the signs and wonders they are chasing. The Lord must have had a really great plan, until they fell into the trap. And yes, it truly is a trap of massive proportions.

The New Age Propensities of Bethel Church’s Bill Johnson, John Lanagan

bkt-jl-bth-lgMy friends, John from My Word Like Fire has published the following tract on the relationship between Bethel teachings and the New Age. I was exposed to, and was taught similar ideas from John Paul Jackson. And in and my dealing in the false prophetic I too, was considered a “seer”.

It is widely believed and taught therein, that the works of the occult, the supernatural and psychic power are truly from the Lord. Those who practice these things outside a relationship with the Lord, only have yet to know Him, and that and the church itself has forgotten its true ways. Nothing can be further from the truth. If you have ever heard of Christian prophetic booths set up at fairs and conventions, this is where it comes from.

Thank you John, for a work well done.

It has been brought to my attention that his other site supports AA and 12 Stepping, Celebrate Recovery. I understand these practices to not be of God and I am not condoning or supporting them in any way. I believe Christ is enough. You will find links of supporting information against these programs from My Word Like Fire in the comments section for more info on these topics. It is only my intention, as it has been since the beginning of my blogging days, to support Christianity in it’s true form, as found written in the word of God.

The Iraq Dinar Revalues As Part of Kingdom Wealth!!!!

The following article was submitted by just1ofhis. It contains an interesting mix of New Age, Word of Faith prosperity promises, false prophecies and flat out lies. When we are not checking the bible to these kinds of claims or doing other research to find out the truth we become ensnared. This is one way the people of God perish or are destroyed from a lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6.

The Iraq Dinar Revalues!!!!

Did that get your heart beating faster?  This is news that a large number of people following some very dangerous and deceiving self-declared “prophets” have been anxiously waiting for.  These deluded people are on a roller coaster ride from hell.

For years now, the dominionists have been speaking about a great wealth transfer about to take place in God’s Kingdom to bring the wealth of the rich into the hands of the poor.  Consider this “prophetic declaration” spoken by C. Peter Wagner before some 1500 followers at the Pentecost Celebration at Glory of Zion in Texas in June of 2006.  The conference was titled “From the Pit to the Palace.”

http://www.glory-of-zion.org/outmail/6-20-06_EatTheWordOnline.htm

GOD’S KINGDOM WEALTH SHALL BE RELEASED! By C. Peter Wagner

I hereby take the apostolic authority that I have been given by God as an ambassador for the Kingdom of God. I make this decree on the foundation of the blood shed by Jesus Christ, God’s Son, at the cross of Calvary. I enunciate these words by the power of the infilling of the Third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit of God.

(My note:  Gospel 101:  Then He took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.  This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.” (Matt 26:27-28 NIV, emphasis mine).  Jesus did not shed His precious blood for any other reason than to cover your sins.)

In compliance with the sacred scriptures written in Ephesians 3:10, I, on behalf of the Church of Jesus Christ, make known the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers in the Heavenly places. I say to you, evil spirits of darkness, that the reign you have usurped over the creation and over the nations of the world since the Garden of Eden is hereby coming to an end. The wisdom of God declares that His Kingdom is coming and that His will shall be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. Your dominion is coming to an end, replaced by the godly dominion of those who are born again children of the last Adam, Jesus Christ.

(My note:  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ME.”  (Matt 28:18 NIV, emphasis mine)  According to scripture, the authority already belongs to Jesus.  Exactly whose authority is Wagner trying to usurp?)

As a key part of bringing this about, God has declared through His prophets that the wealth of the wicked will be released to the Kingdom of God. Powers of darkness will diminish and powers of light will flourish. I declare this to the principalities and powers who have been agents of Satan to obstruct this transfer of wealth for too long: Your time is up! Your evil powers are broken! By the blood of Jesus Christ, I declare that your wicked powers are demolished! I take the apostolic authority that has been given me and I bind you! What is bound on earth will be bound in Heaven. Let go of the wealth of the nations! I loose this wealth for the Kingdom of God. What has been loosed on earth will be loosed in Heaven!

(My note:  Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.  “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”  Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.” (Matt 4:8-10 NIV)

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD AND MONEY.” (Matt 6: 24 NIV, emphasis mine)

I declare that this wealth will be distributed for the extension of the Kingdom of God by the apostles that God has set in the church. I consecrate these chosen apostles. Two days ago I completed the formation of an apostolic council of 48. These experienced men and women have passed the tests of giftedness, effectiveness, leadership, and exemplary character. I speak specifically to Mammon, you vile and destructive demonic principality, and I say you will keep your hands off these 48 chosen ones. Neither greed nor covetousness nor parsimony nor self-reliance will be able to influence God’s chosen and anointed ones. They, among many others like them, will be mighty agents of God for the transformation of society. They will lead the way in restoring the rightful dominion and stewardship over God’s creation that was lost by our forefather, the first Adam.

(My note:  This is from the prayer Jesus prayed for His disciples:  “I pray for them. I AM NOT PRAYING FOR THE WORLD,  but for those You have given me, for they are Yours.”(John 17:9 NIV, emphasis mine)  The idea that God is trying to transform society and take back creation is utterly false.  As Peter wrote in 2 Peter 3, this world is slated for destruction by fire.  The Bible makes clear that God has no desire to “fix” this earth, but to rescue souls from His Wrath through the blood of Jesus.  Jesus answered it most clearly in John 19 verse 36, “My kingdom is not of this world.”)

I decree that vast amounts of wealth will be released supernaturally, even from godless and pagan sources. I decree that large numbers of God’s chosen people will be empowered in fresh and creative ways to gain wealth according to Deuteronomy 8:18. New inventions will multiply. Disruptive technologies will change the life patterns of the whole human race. The earth will disgorge vast riches of hidden resources. These will be entrusted to God’s agents. Profits will increase exponentially.

(My note:  The “godless and pagan sources” Wagner speaks of have, in the past few years, centered on a prophesied “revaluation of the Iraq dinar”.    When Jesus needed money to pay the temple tax, He sent Peter out to catch a fish.  In the mouth of that fish, Jesus told Peter he would find a four drachma coin to pay for both their taxes.  (see Matthew 17)  The obvious point here is that the Bible shows that God meets the needs of His people.  Jesus could have produced a million drachmas from the mouth of the fish.  He didn’t.  The desire for great wealth for any purpose is idolatry.)

The enemy’s camp will be plundered. The forces of darkness will be in disarray, and they will retreat. Jesus will be exalted in nation after nation. Righteousness and justice will sweep the earth as a tsunami. Resistance will be impossible. Jesus will put all things under His feet. He will deliver the Kingdom to God the Father. The prayer that Jesus taught us will be answered. “Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!”

It is spoken. So may it come to pass! Amen and amen!

A few years ago, I began hearing “word” from a “prophetic” church in our area about this great investment in the Iraq Dinar and how God was going to “fund His Kingdom” through it.  Many people followed the pastor’s advice and purchased the dinar.  The promise was oh-so-enticing.  I heard boasting of expected returns from a 100% to 1000%.

I was told that “everyone” was investing in this, that I better hurry so that I didn’t miss out, and that the “prophesies” about the Iraq Dinar were coming from the highest rungs of the church!

When I questioned the church’s leadership, I was scoffed at.  “The dinar is the only hope these people have” was the response.  My only hope is in Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  If your only “hope” is the foreign currency of a third world country, I pray for you.

A bit of explanation of the Iraq Dinar:

The Iraq Dinar is “pegged” to the US dollar and has been for years.  It trades around 1,170 dinars per $1.00 US.  Following is a 5 year chart of the dinar to the US dollar taken of Yahoo Finance:

This means that the dinar moves directly with the dollar.  The Iraq Dinar is not a market traded currency.  In other words, you must directly purchase dinar for US dollars from a trader to own them.  Traders take up to 20% off the top of the investment to make this trade.  It works like this:

You give the trader $1,000 US dollars. He gives you $800 US dollars worth of dinar. (Today, 10/4/12, they are trading for 1,165…so you would receive 932,000 dinar.  You are almost a “dinar”ionare!  Of course, you have an asset that you can’t sell in the market and is only worth $800 US).  The trader has made $200.  You receive a wallet full of dinar.

If you want to sell the dinar, you only have $800 US worth of them to sell.  You go back to the trader who will happily make this transaction, for a fee.  You end up with something less than $800 US).  But, hey, you got to carry around wads of Iraqi money to impress your friends.

Scam artists claim that the Dinar is going to be “unpegged” from the dollar and revalued.  They will tell you that the Iraq government will set the value of the dinar close to the value of a dollar, making your 932,000 dinars worth $932,000 US.  Now you are almost a millionaire! The fact that this appeals to anyone is telling in and of itself.

The state of Utah warned about the Iraq Dinar Revaluation as a scam in 2006:

Of course, false prophets are put here for no other reason than to deceive and lead astray.  Consider the first paragraph of prophecy from April 28, 2012, from Kim Clement:

4/28/2012
From The Den

April 28, 2012 – From The Den

Elijah saw the cloud the size of a man’s hand. This is what happened, and it’s important for all of you watching, for your own prosperity in the next seven years, starting almost immediately, that you listen and be patient. Remember what I taught you the other day; I said by patience you must possess your soul. In other words, don’t let your soul get disrupted when something doesn’t happen when you want it to happen. We heard about Firepointe; we heard about Ford – we heard about lots of things and some people are getting impatient (the Iraqi denar). These things happen in time. Obviously, there are moments where God says this is going to be released now, but this is what happened with Elijah. Elijah heard the sound of abundance. There were no clouds; there was no sign of abundance. He heard the sound; then he said to his servant, “Go and look until you see it.” Here comes the optical fusion. The servant went looking six times. You know he could have come back the fifth time and Elijah could have said just forget it! Six times he ran back and forth, and Elijah said, “Go back.” On the seventh – and you can take a little sign from this. I’m a little crafty sometimes, but I have to do it because I can’t tell you directly because the law prohibits me from doing it on this show. Seven times; the seventh time he saw a cloud the size of a man’s hand. (emphasis mine)

Some people are getting impatient.   The dinar hasn’t revalued yet!   Some of these people have been waiting for years.  I have heard stories of homes lost and lives disrupted.  I pray that these folks repent of this madness and come back to the Truth of the Word of God.  If you have a pastor who has pushed this nonsense…RUN FOR THE DOOR AND DON’T LOOK BACK.

In the book of Revelation chapter 16 speaks of evil spirits that look like frogs:

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.  THEN I SAW THREE EVIL SPIRITS THAT LOOKED LIKE FROGS; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty. (Rev 16:12-14 NIV, my emphasis)

This is Ch’an Chu, the Lucky Money Frog with three legs.  “Idols” like this have been used in China for thousands of years in hopes of good health and prosperity.

It is an image of the health and wealth gospel.  It is the garbage coming out of the mouths of people like C. Peter Wagner and Kim Clement, just as the Bible says it would.

The Lucky Money Frog has many meanings for the Chinese. Symbolically speaking, it is the embodiment of the yin concept, the immortal moon goddess. The moon goddess is what gives Ch’an Chu its form, and the lunar symbols such as the gems on his back (which resemble the dipper) and his three legs (which represent three lunar phases). And according to tradition, during a full moon the king money frog will appear near houses in which good news will soon be received. The ancient round I-Ching coins are also an important part of this tradition, and Anjian Australia Feng-Shui experts claim that the “ancient Chinese coins have been used for centuries as amulets to ward off evil and disease.”

Beware of sin that so easily entangles and resist those who peddle it:

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (Heb 12:1-3 NIV)
