The Iraq Dinar Revalues As Part of Kingdom Wealth!!!!

The following article was submitted by just1ofhis. It contains an interesting mix of New Age, Word of Faith prosperity promises, false prophecies and flat out lies. When we are not checking the bible to these kinds of claims or doing other research to find out the truth we become ensnared. This is one way the people of God perish or are destroyed from a lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6.

The Iraq Dinar Revalues!!!!

Did that get your heart beating faster?  This is news that a large number of people following some very dangerous and deceiving self-declared “prophets” have been anxiously waiting for.  These deluded people are on a roller coaster ride from hell.

For years now, the dominionists have been speaking about a great wealth transfer about to take place in God’s Kingdom to bring the wealth of the rich into the hands of the poor.  Consider this “prophetic declaration” spoken by C. Peter Wagner before some 1500 followers at the Pentecost Celebration at Glory of Zion in Texas in June of 2006.  The conference was titled “From the Pit to the Palace.”

GOD’S KINGDOM WEALTH SHALL BE RELEASED! By C. Peter Wagner

I hereby take the apostolic authority that I have been given by God as an ambassador for the Kingdom of God. I make this decree on the foundation of the blood shed by Jesus Christ, God’s Son, at the cross of Calvary. I enunciate these words by the power of the infilling of the Third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit of God.

(My note:  Gospel 101:  Then He took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.  This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.” (Matt 26:27-28 NIV, emphasis mine).  Jesus did not shed His precious blood for any other reason than to cover your sins.)

In compliance with the sacred scriptures written in Ephesians 3:10, I, on behalf of the Church of Jesus Christ, make known the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers in the Heavenly places. I say to you, evil spirits of darkness, that the reign you have usurped over the creation and over the nations of the world since the Garden of Eden is hereby coming to an end. The wisdom of God declares that His Kingdom is coming and that His will shall be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. Your dominion is coming to an end, replaced by the godly dominion of those who are born again children of the last Adam, Jesus Christ.

(My note:  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ME.”  (Matt 28:18 NIV, emphasis mine)  According to scripture, the authority already belongs to Jesus.  Exactly whose authority is Wagner trying to usurp?)

As a key part of bringing this about, God has declared through His prophets that the wealth of the wicked will be released to the Kingdom of God. Powers of darkness will diminish and powers of light will flourish. I declare this to the principalities and powers who have been agents of Satan to obstruct this transfer of wealth for too long: Your time is up! Your evil powers are broken! By the blood of Jesus Christ, I declare that your wicked powers are demolished! I take the apostolic authority that has been given me and I bind you! What is bound on earth will be bound in Heaven. Let go of the wealth of the nations! I loose this wealth for the Kingdom of God. What has been loosed on earth will be loosed in Heaven!

(My note:  Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.  “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”  Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.” (Matt 4:8-10 NIV)

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD AND MONEY.” (Matt 6: 24 NIV, emphasis mine)

I declare that this wealth will be distributed for the extension of the Kingdom of God by the apostles that God has set in the church. I consecrate these chosen apostles. Two days ago I completed the formation of an apostolic council of 48. These experienced men and women have passed the tests of giftedness, effectiveness, leadership, and exemplary character. I speak specifically to Mammon, you vile and destructive demonic principality, and I say you will keep your hands off these 48 chosen ones. Neither greed nor covetousness nor parsimony nor self-reliance will be able to influence God’s chosen and anointed ones. They, among many others like them, will be mighty agents of God for the transformation of society. They will lead the way in restoring the rightful dominion and stewardship over God’s creation that was lost by our forefather, the first Adam.

(My note:  This is from the prayer Jesus prayed for His disciples:  “I pray for them. I AM NOT PRAYING FOR THE WORLD,  but for those You have given me, for they are Yours.”(John 17:9 NIV, emphasis mine)  The idea that God is trying to transform society and take back creation is utterly false.  As Peter wrote in 2 Peter 3, this world is slated for destruction by fire.  The Bible makes clear that God has no desire to “fix” this earth, but to rescue souls from His Wrath through the blood of Jesus.  Jesus answered it most clearly in John 19 verse 36, “My kingdom is not of this world.”)

I decree that vast amounts of wealth will be released supernaturally, even from godless and pagan sources. I decree that large numbers of God’s chosen people will be empowered in fresh and creative ways to gain wealth according to Deuteronomy 8:18. New inventions will multiply. Disruptive technologies will change the life patterns of the whole human race. The earth will disgorge vast riches of hidden resources. These will be entrusted to God’s agents. Profits will increase exponentially.

(My note:  The “godless and pagan sources” Wagner speaks of have, in the past few years, centered on a prophesied “revaluation of the Iraq dinar”.    When Jesus needed money to pay the temple tax, He sent Peter out to catch a fish.  In the mouth of that fish, Jesus told Peter he would find a four drachma coin to pay for both their taxes.  (see Matthew 17)  The obvious point here is that the Bible shows that God meets the needs of His people.  Jesus could have produced a million drachmas from the mouth of the fish.  He didn’t.  The desire for great wealth for any purpose is idolatry.)

The enemy’s camp will be plundered. The forces of darkness will be in disarray, and they will retreat. Jesus will be exalted in nation after nation. Righteousness and justice will sweep the earth as a tsunami. Resistance will be impossible. Jesus will put all things under His feet. He will deliver the Kingdom to God the Father. The prayer that Jesus taught us will be answered. “Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!”

It is spoken. So may it come to pass! Amen and amen!

A few years ago, I began hearing “word” from a “prophetic” church in our area about this great investment in the Iraq Dinar and how God was going to “fund His Kingdom” through it.  Many people followed the pastor’s advice and purchased the dinar.  The promise was oh-so-enticing.  I heard boasting of expected returns from a 100% to 1000%.

I was told that “everyone” was investing in this, that I better hurry so that I didn’t miss out, and that the “prophesies” about the Iraq Dinar were coming from the highest rungs of the church!

When I questioned the church’s leadership, I was scoffed at.  “The dinar is the only hope these people have” was the response.  My only hope is in Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  If your only “hope” is the foreign currency of a third world country, I pray for you.

A bit of explanation of the Iraq Dinar:

The Iraq Dinar is “pegged” to the US dollar and has been for years.  It trades around 1,170 dinars per $1.00 US.  Following is a 5 year chart of the dinar to the US dollar taken of Yahoo Finance:

This means that the dinar moves directly with the dollar.  The Iraq Dinar is not a market traded currency.  In other words, you must directly purchase dinar for US dollars from a trader to own them.  Traders take up to 20% off the top of the investment to make this trade.  It works like this:

You give the trader $1,000 US dollars. He gives you $800 US dollars worth of dinar. (Today, 10/4/12, they are trading for 1,165…so you would receive 932,000 dinar.  You are almost a “dinar”ionare!  Of course, you have an asset that you can’t sell in the market and is only worth $800 US).  The trader has made $200.  You receive a wallet full of dinar.

If you want to sell the dinar, you only have $800 US worth of them to sell.  You go back to the trader who will happily make this transaction, for a fee.  You end up with something less than $800 US).  But, hey, you got to carry around wads of Iraqi money to impress your friends.

Scam artists claim that the Dinar is going to be “unpegged” from the dollar and revalued.  They will tell you that the Iraq government will set the value of the dinar close to the value of a dollar, making your 932,000 dinars worth $932,000 US.  Now you are almost a millionaire! The fact that this appeals to anyone is telling in and of itself.

The state of Utah warned about the Iraq Dinar Revaluation as a scam in 2006:

Of course, false prophets are put here for no other reason than to deceive and lead astray.  Consider the first paragraph of prophecy from April 28, 2012, from Kim Clement:

4/28/2012
From The Den

April 28, 2012 – From The Den

Elijah saw the cloud the size of a man’s hand. This is what happened, and it’s important for all of you watching, for your own prosperity in the next seven years, starting almost immediately, that you listen and be patient. Remember what I taught you the other day; I said by patience you must possess your soul. In other words, don’t let your soul get disrupted when something doesn’t happen when you want it to happen. We heard about Firepointe; we heard about Ford – we heard about lots of things and some people are getting impatient (the Iraqi denar). These things happen in time. Obviously, there are moments where God says this is going to be released now, but this is what happened with Elijah. Elijah heard the sound of abundance. There were no clouds; there was no sign of abundance. He heard the sound; then he said to his servant, “Go and look until you see it.” Here comes the optical fusion. The servant went looking six times. You know he could have come back the fifth time and Elijah could have said just forget it! Six times he ran back and forth, and Elijah said, “Go back.” On the seventh – and you can take a little sign from this. I’m a little crafty sometimes, but I have to do it because I can’t tell you directly because the law prohibits me from doing it on this show. Seven times; the seventh time he saw a cloud the size of a man’s hand. (emphasis mine)

You can read the rest of the prophesy here:

http://kimclementvault.com/prophecyread.asp?num=535

Some people are getting impatient.   The dinar hasn’t revalued yet!   Some of these people have been waiting for years.  I have heard stories of homes lost and lives disrupted.  I pray that these folks repent of this madness and come back to the Truth of the Word of God.  If you have a pastor who has pushed this nonsense…RUN FOR THE DOOR AND DON’T LOOK BACK.

In the book of Revelation chapter 16 speaks of evil spirits that look like frogs:

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.  THEN I SAW THREE EVIL SPIRITS THAT LOOKED LIKE FROGS; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty. (Rev 16:12-14 NIV, my emphasis)

This is Ch’an Chu, the Lucky Money Frog with three legs.  “Idols” like this have been used in China for thousands of years in hopes of good health and prosperity.

It is an image of the health and wealth gospel.  It is the garbage coming out of the mouths of people like C. Peter Wagner and Kim Clement, just as the Bible says it would.

The Lucky Money Frog has many meanings for the Chinese. Symbolically speaking, it is the embodiment of the yin concept, the immortal moon goddess. The moon goddess is what gives Ch’an Chu its form, and the lunar symbols such as the gems on his back (which resemble the dipper) and his three legs (which represent three lunar phases). And according to tradition, during a full moon the king money frog will appear near houses in which good news will soon be received. The ancient round I-Ching coins are also an important part of this tradition, and Anjian Australia Feng-Shui experts claim that the “ancient Chinese coins have been used for centuries as amulets to ward off evil and disease.”

Beware of sin that so easily entangles and resist those who peddle it:

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (Heb 12:1-3 NIV)

C Peter Wagner in His Own Defense

Some time back I was hit with quite a bit more traffic than usual and was able to trace it back to an online magazine called Al Jezeera. There I found an interesting article regarding Rick Perry and the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). The reason for my traffic was a link AJ made to one of the articles on my blog. So, it was with great interest that I just happened to find the following info in a google search!  Thought you’d like to see it for yourselves if you haven’t already.

C. Peter Wagner is speaking out against those who revealed what he stands for; dominionism, taking biblical control of the world by force via the seven mountains of influence, and the joining of the NAR to political America.

Volumes have been written already in exposing the false doctrine of the NAR, the organization behind what has become to be considered mainline Christianity. While some of the things that are said up front sound right, a close study of the bible and a comparison to God’s word with Wagner’s books reveal a completely different doctrine. I consider his teachings and all of the NAR activity to be doctrine of demons. (if you are one of his followers, please do some prayerful research!)

Wagner also did a bit of back-peddling after endorsing the apostate preacher Todd Bentley during the Lakeland fiasco, once it was found to be exactly that – a fiasco.

Earlier, a fellow blogger pointed out that the previously published NAR – Apostle/Prophet list I linked to another article here on my blog had disappeared. This was a handy link to have as it made it quite easy to find out if those we trust and take our doctrine from were part of the NAR. My search to find an updated copy revealed that the list is now only available to members!  See here – International Coalition of Apostles.

What could they be hiding? Maybe there is something to the fact that Chuck Pierce held some meetings last year in a Masonic Temple…Secret Societies.

Read on...I’d love your input!

THE NEW APOSTOLIC REFORMATION

An Update by C. Peter Wagner, Ph.D.

THE NEW APOSTOLIC REFORMATION

August 18,2011

Surprisingly, the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) has recently become a topic of discussion in the political media. I noticed some mention of it in connection with Sarah Palin’s run for Vice-President, but I considered it relatively insignificant. Then more talk of the NAR surfaced around Michelle Bachman, but it soared to a new level when Rick Perry entered the race for the Republican nomination for President in August. The best I can discern, the NAR has become a tool in the hands of certain liberal opponents of the conservative candidates designed to discredit them on the basis of their friendship with certain Christian leaders supposedly affiliated with the NAR. To bolster this attempt, they seek to accuse the NAR of teaching false doctrine and paste on it the label of “cult.” For example, Forgotten Word Ministries posts an article by Marsha West expressing concerns about Rick Perry’s prayer assembly in Houston on August 6, that uses the title: “Texas Governor’s Upcoming Leadership Event Includes Cult Members.”[1]

Soon after the event, nothing less than Al Jazeera News picked up on the theme and posted an article on the NAR under the title “America’s own Taliban.” My name comes up in most of the Internet postings on NAR, but in this one I am called the “intellectual godfather” of the movement.[2] When I read that, I felt that I had a responsibility to attempt to bring some clarification as to what the NAR is, what are its goals, and how these goals are being implemented. That is why I am writing this brief paper.

What Is the NAR?

The NAR is definitely not a cult. Those who affiliate with it believe the Apostles’ Creed and all the standard classic statements of Christian doctrine. It will surprise some to know that the NAR embraces the largest non-Catholic segment of world Christianity. It is also the fastest growing segment, the only segment of Christianity currently growing faster than the world population and faster than Islam.[3] Christianity is booming now in the Global South which includes sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and large parts of Asia. Most of the new churches in the Global South, even including many which belong to denominations, would comfortably fit the NAR template.

The NAR represents the most radical change in the way of doing church since the Protestant Reformation. This is not a doctrinal change. We adhere to the major tenets of the Reformation: the authority of Scripture, justification by faith, and the priesthood of all believers. But the quality of church life, the governance of the church, the worship, the theology of prayer, the missional goals, the optimistic vision for the future, and other features, constitute quite a change from traditional Protestantism.

The NAR is not an organization. No one can join or carry a card. It has no leader. I have been called the “founder,” but this is not the case. One reason I might be seen as an “intellectual godfather” is that I might have been the first to observe the movement, give a name to it, and describe its characteristics as I saw them. When this began to come together through my research in 1993, I was Professor of Church Growth at Fuller Theological Seminary, where I taught for 30 years. The roots of the NAR go back to the beginning of the African Independent Church Movement in 1900, the Chinese House Church Movement beginning in 1976, the U.S. Independent Charismatic Movement beginning in the 1970s and the Latin American Grassroots Church Movement beginning around the same time. I was neither the founder nor a member of any of these movements, I was simply a professor who observed that they were the fastest growing churches in their respective regions and that they had a number of common characteristics.

If I was going to write about this phenomenal move of the Holy Spirit, I knew I had to give it a name. I tried “Postdenominational” but soon dropped it because of the objections of many of my friends who were denominational executives. Then, in 1994, I tested “New Apostolic Reformation.” “Reformation” because the movement matched the Protestant Reformation in world impact; “Apostolic” because of all the changes the most radical one was apostolic governance, which I’ll explain in due time; and “New” because several churches and denominations already carried the name “apostolic,” but they did not fit the NAR pattern. Other names of this movement which are more or less synonymous with NAR have been “Neopentecostal,” “Neocharismatic,” “Independent,” or “Nondenominational.”

I am rather fascinated at the lists of individuals whom the media glibly connects with the NAR. I’m sure that some of them wouldn’t even recognize the term. In many cases, however, they would fit the NAR template, but since the NAR has no membership list they themselves would need to say whether they consider themselves affiliated or not.

For those who might be interested in such things, the books I have written related to NAR include The New Apostolic Churches (1998); Churchquake! (1999); Apostles and Prophets (2000), Changing Church (2004); and Apostles Today (2006). These are all available on amazon.com.

Concerns about the NAR

If the critics are using openness to NAR as a slur against conservative political candidates, they obviously need to verbalize what could be wrong with NAR in the first place. To suppose that NAR is a “cult” or that it teaches “heresy” can be attributed only to sloppy or immature journalism. All too often “heresy” has come to mean only that the person disagrees with me and my friends, but the purpose of using the word is to project guilt by association on the politician. It attempts to implant a question: Who would vote for a heretic? But there is little evidence presented that the issue in question incorporates the doctrinal unorthodoxy of a true heresy. Instead, key words are usually dropped which describe legitimate areas of disagreement among Christian theologians on the level of whether or not we baptize infants. Neither of the opposite positions on matters like this deserve to be placed in the category of heresy.

Let me review the media pieces I have collected and pick out some key words in order to clarify my position. I say “my position,” because others in NAR might not agree with me, and they are not compelled to do so. NAR has no official statements of theology or ecclesiology, although a large number of us do happen to agree upon many somewhat radical conclusions. Most of us have long track records of service within traditional Christianity, and we have needed to go through paradigm shifts to get where we are now. Keep in mind that one of the affects of every paradigm shift is that some people get pulled out of their comfort zones. One of the reasons for opposition to some of the more radical ideas of NAR is that certain people have decided not to change and they are upset with those who have chosen to change.
Apostolic governance. As I mentioned before, this is probably the most radical change. I take literally St. Paul’s words that Jesus, at His ascension into heaven, “gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:11-12). Most of traditional Christianity accepts evangelists, pastors, and teachers, but not apostles and prophets. I think that all five are given to be active in churches today. In fact, St. Paul goes on to say, “And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers…” (1 Corinthians 12:28). This does not describe a hierarchy, but a divine order. Apostles are first in that order.
I strongly object to journalists using the adjective “self-appointed” or “self-declared” when referring to apostles. No true apostle is self-appointed. First of all, they are gifted by God for that ministry. Secondly, the gift and its fruit are recognized by peers and the apostle is “set in” or “commissioned” to the office of apostle by other respected and qualified leaders.

The office of prophet. Prophets are prominent in the Bible, both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. As we just saw above, apostles are first and prophets are second. Every apostle needs alignment with prophets and every prophet needs apostolic alignment. One of the reasons why both should be active in our churches today is that the Bible says, “Surely God does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). And also: “Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established; believe His prophets and you shall prosper” (2 Chronicles 20:20). I want to prosper and I want you to prosper.

Dominionism. This refers to the desire that some of my friends and I have to follow Jesus and do what He wants. One of the things He does want He taught us to pray for in the Lord’s Prayer: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” This means that we do our best to see that what we know is characteristic of heaven work its way into the warp and woof of our society here on earth. Think of heaven: no injustice, no poverty, righteousness, peace, prosperity, no disease, love, no corruption, no crime, no misery, no racism, and I could go on. Wouldn’t you like your city to display those characteristics?

But where does dominion come in? On the first page of the Bible, God told Adam and Eve to “fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, etc.” (Genesis 1:28). Adam, Eve, and the whole human race were to take dominion over the rest of creation, but Satan entered the picture, succeeded in usurping Adam’s dominion for himself and became what Jesus calls “the ruler of this world” (John 14:30). When Jesus came, he brought the kingdom of God and He expects His kingdom-minded people to take whatever action is needed to push back the long-standing kingdom of Satan and bring the peace and prosperity of His kingdom here on earth. This is what we mean by dominionism.

A theocracy. The usual meaning of theocracy is that a nation is run by authorized representatives of the church or its functional religious equivalent. Everyone I know in NAR would absolutely reject this idea, thinking back to Constantine’s failed experiment or some of the oppressive Islamic governments today. The way to achieve dominion is not to become “America’s Taliban,” but rather to have kingdom-minded people in every one of the Seven Mountains: Religion, Family, Education, Government, Media, Arts & Entertainment, and Business so that they can use their influence to create an environment in which the blessings and prosperity of the Kingdom of God can permeate all areas of society.

Extra-biblical revelation. Some object to the notion that God communicates directly with us, supposing that everything that God wanted to reveal He revealed in the Bible. This cannot be true, however, because there is nothing in the Bible that says it has 66 books. It actually took God a couple of hundred years to reveal to the church which writings should be included in the Bible and which should not. That is extra-biblical revelation. Even so, Catholics and Protestants still disagree on the number. Beyond that, I believe that prayer is two way, we speak to God and expect Him to speak with us. We can hear God’s voice. He also reveals new things to prophets as we have seen. The one major rule governing any new revelation from God is that it cannot contradict what has already been written in the Bible. It may supplement it, however.

Supernatural signs and wonders. I have a hard time understanding why some include this in their list of “heresies.” Whenever Jesus sent out His disciples he told them to heal the sick and cast out demons. Why we should expect that He has anything else in mind for us today is puzzling. True, this still pulls some traditionalists out of their comfort zones, but that just goes with the territory. One critic claimed that the NAR has excessive fixation on Satan and demonic spirits. This is purely a judgment call, and it may only mean that we cast out more demons than they do. So what?

Relational Structures

Some of the authors I read expressed certain frustrations because they found it difficult to get their arms around the NAR. They couldn’t find a top leader or even a leadership team. There was no newsletter. The NAR didn’t have an annual meeting. There was no printed doctrinal statement or code of ethics. This was very different from dealing with traditional denominations. The reason behind this is that, whereas denominations are legal structures, the NAR is a relational structure. Everyone is related to, or aligned, with an apostle or apostles. This alignment is voluntary. There is no legal tie that binds it. In fact, some have dual alignment or multiple alignment. Apostles are not in competition with each other, they are in cahoots. They do not seek the best for themselves, but for those who choose to align with them. If the spotlight comes on them, they will accept it, but they do not seek it.

The key to this? The mutual and overriding desire that “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!”

Unveiling a False Prophecy

Lots of “prophetic words” going around these days. How about the self-proclaimed prophets who claim God did or God said because of the nation’s sin was great, because the people refuse to repent, and the one that said the disaster struck because the nation is shaped like the head of a dragon? Did God not create the world?

Listen to the words of Jesus –

Luke 13:1-5

1 There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2

And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things?

3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem?

5 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”

Disasters that come upon the earth are not because of the nation’s great sin or because the people are worse sinners.  The earth is in a fallen state because of sin. And no one knows what will happen next or to whom it will happen. So repent and be ready and stop listening to the false prophets who only want to scare you into following after them and their revelation of stupidity. The bible shows you the truth right here, right here. 🙂

And to the followers of the false prophets who are warning about the big one in California. I grew up in CA and lived there all of my life until I moved a few years ago. We were always hearing about the “big one” to hit CA, that would cause it to become an island, that would create beach front property in Arizona. I noticed these sayings when I was a small girl! You imagine. These predictions did not come by way of “prophetic word”. They came from scientists and seismologists who had been studying the earth, the San Andreas Fault Line for years! So, please, be careful of who you listen to and why you have lent your ear.

Convergence! Cries Godtv

After hearing of the upcoming cancellation of Godtv from DirecTV effective Oct 1 I had an urge this morning to take a peek at what Godtv was broadcasting. By the way, that is notGodtv.

I caught the last couple minutes of what I believe was a rebroadcast of their “Missions Week”, the time they set aside to beg for cold hard cash donations. Lance Wallnau who is a major speaker and teacher of the Seven Mountains had been teaching about “getting the stuff that you want from life”. I don’t know how else to put it, because that is what these people are teaching unsuspecting Christians. It is very much like Joel Olsteen’s “Your Best Life Now” garbage. It brings in donations, sells book and buys large expensive homes for the teachers. For the listeners, it sets them on a mission, takes up their time and their cash. And since everyone is so happy to please God they are willing to pay dearly. Everyone feels good and has something to look forward to, so why not “preach it”?

I wasn’t prepared to take notes, but here’s the basics –

Wallnau declared a “portal” over the time we are now in.

1. The Day of Atonement

2. They were currently broadcasting from Washington DC, the capitol of America

3. The right time and the right place – convergence – breakthrough

4. Use your gifts and talents to effect the blessings

Like I said, I believe this was a rebroadcast as they mentioned the month of May as the current time they were in.

These things constituted  a portal, an opening to receive what you need from above. (I hesitate to use God’s name in there.) In case you don’t know, a portal is an opening between heaven and earth in which blessings and even angels can ascend and descend. There are those who are so spiritually gifted that they can also travel to and from heaven through these portals. A portal can also be a holy place or an area deemed sacred, an area where God is, or an area where the anointing is felt. These teachings are twists on the truth so be careful. I am explaining them, not condoning them.

The next thing we hear is the word CONVERGENCE!. At that time Rory Alec begins repeating this word over and again as in a chant – CONVERGENCE! CONVERGENCE! CONVERGENCE! It very much reminded me of the time we heard Todd Bentley call for ANGELS! ANGELS! ANGELS!. Not only a few times, but over and again as though saying the word would make it happen.

Then friends, we have Wendy Alec who moves to “the altar” and begins to give a very poor rendering of a prophetic word, all the time bending backward as though some force is pushing her over. She raises her hands and as she bends back and we  see those long creepy fingernails raised. My mind says “witch”. Sorry. Gruesome, but it is not the for the first time. Her manner looks like an attack on her person, not an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

So CONVERGENCE. This is the time to send in your “very best gift now”, as much as you can, do it now for the portal is open, the time is now, the time is right, call now, send it in now.  Listen to the PUSH to part you with your cash – COMPULSION

1 Peter 5:1-3

1 The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed: 2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; 3 nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

Not for dishonest gain, nor as being lords -think about this.

2 Corinthians 9:7

7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Sounds like they have made giving into a necessity – if you wish to receive, give. Yes, we are supposed to give, but not to false teachers, not out of compulsion or emotion, but out of love and concern for those in need. We cannot buy a blessing or even, as they call it, a breakthrough. And we give to those who preach the gospel, but the gospel of Jesus Christ is not found on Godtv.

Next, Rory begins to worship with some creepy piano music. He moves over to “the altar” where Wendy is kneeling down. But wait! There is what appears to be a large fax machine or printer next to “the altar”. He pulls papers from it which can only be pledges of money pouring in. He then lays them on “the altar” and says “Hallelujah”. Why do I believe these papers were pledges? How often have we seen this scenario played out by others in the lying word of faith camp? This is their process.

That was all I could bear. Still, I never heard about Jesus, His death, His forgiveness or anything that resembled the gospel message. No. I didn’t hear mention that there is suffering in our lives that God uses for His good, to refine and strengthen us in Him. No my friends. This is all about getting what you want. It is not about spiritual refinement, but about personal want and desires of the flesh. And all you need to do is send Rory and Wendy Alec the cash. Find that in scripture. Chances are you will part with the cash and yet never recieve what you have paid for.

Here is a better way:

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Strikes and Outs

The following is a very good article on why we expose false doctrine; written and sent to me by Kent Philpott, Earthen Vessel Journal

“Strikes and Outs”—baseball lingo–but this essay is not about baseball; it is about courage.

Strikes and outs are what umpires, those who officiate baseball games, are supposed to call.  A “call” means an umpire indicates that a pitched ball is either a ball or a strike. Batters do not want to hear a pitched ball called a strike, and the umpire knows this well. Strikes are booed, fans are unhappy, players are unhappy; it takes courage to call strikes.

Then consider a “play” as when a runner is coming into home plate and arrives at about the same time as a ball thrown by a fielder. A call of safe or out must be made and it is easier to make the safe call—any seasoned umpire will say amen to that.

How do I know this? I have umpired many a game, and most of them at San Quentin State Prison, and the strikes and outs are not good news to the convicts who are the objects of those calls. One contested call may mean an entire game being heckled by a disgruntled fan.

In the last game of our season at the prison we needed an umpire, since our usual ump had just paroled. I volunteered, and during the course of the game the subject for this essay came to mind.

As it is easier to make a ball or safe call, so it is easier to stand down and avoid confronting error. Courage is a rare and wonderful quality, one which may cost us dearly.

We see in the pages of the New Testament the price Jesus paid for His obedience to the Father. He was attacked by many, scorned and rejected, and ultimately went to the cross. His Passion was the express will of God, yet we see the tortuous process that goes with standing for the truth.

Paul would have understood my baseball analogy—he called strikes and outs, and paid the price for it. He took stands for the Gospel that earned him enemies and a stressful life.

John was opposed by the Roman authorities and was forced into exile, yet he never ceased to speak out against error.

The Church has had its heroes, men and women of faith and vision, who have been defenders of the Faith delivered once and for all to the Church. Christians in whatever era are called to do the same. And it takes courage to do so.

Currently I am in a struggle or two and am discovering again what it is to take a stand. It is even more difficult if the stand is against error within the broad Christian community. Many do not understand that spiritual warfare is waged more often inside the “visible” church than outside it. The secular world is one thing, but issues of biblical doctrine and practice impact us more directly and critically than the ongoing confusion in the world.

Fewer topics arouse my reaction these days, and for this I am thankful. One of my life goals is to avoid giving in to a cynical, complaining attitude, always looking for what is wrong rather than what is right. There are far too many issues abroad that can get me stirred up, so I must be selective and focus only on those things that go to the heart of the biblical and evangelical Gospel. I cannot be afraid to call strikes and outs.

Here are passages I look to in order to remind myself that certain error must be opposed regardless of the discomfort in doing so.

Matthew 24:4-5. “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ.’ And they will lead many astray.”

Jesus’ words to His apostles were meant for something more than information, I would think. Perhaps they were to be actively opposing those who announced they were the Messiah. Such pretenders may or may not have come from the Christian community, but from wherever the false claim originated, there would be an evil harvest.

Acts 20:28-31a. “Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made your overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be alert…”

Paul delivered the warning to the elders of the Church at Ephesus, and it is reasonable to expect that the current elders of God’s Flock must heed the same warning. Notice the emphasis here: the trouble will come from within, not without, the church. This is so often the case. Over four decades of ministry, my experience has been that opposition from without the church is less common; it is nearly always from within the visible church that the confusion arises.

Galatians 1:6-9. “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.”

“Accursed”—precisely what Paul had in mind in using such a word is unknown, but at minimum accursed is not a good thing. Paul is courageous in his concern for the Galatian churches and speaks his mind. Though he might anticipate that his direct warning will stir up trouble, he writes because he is aware of the greater problems that would result if a false gospel were to make its way into those churches. Paul again warns that the platform for the presentation of the strange gospel would be from within the Christian community.

Paul may not be going to an extreme when he mentions a gospel coming from an angel. More than once persons have claimed angelic revelation. One only has to think of Islam and Mormonism for illustrations. As crazy as it seems, angels or what present themselves as angels, are up to the same old tricks right now. Fallen angels–demons–are spiritual and powerful (“angels of light” Paul called them–see 2 Corinthians 11:14), and it is very hard to resist that which seems to come from God.

1 Timothy 4:1. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons.”

Whether these days are last days or not is unknown, but they may be, and so the warning of Paul could easily be applicable. Those who will be devoting themselves to the demons have departed from “the faith.” Again the trouble arises from within the visible church. And it is not mentioned if the devotees are genuine Christians or are unbelievers supposing themselves to be born again but are merely Christianized.[1]

Could it be that we have been living in the “later times” for some long time, perhaps even from the time of Jesus’ earthly ministry? (see 1 John 2:18). A survey of the history of our Church might lend support to the concept.

1 John 4:1. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

Upsetting indeed—“many false prophets”—out into the world, too, so the Apostle John sounds the warning. Would the same be true for today?

Jude 3-4. “Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”

Jude would rather have written a celebratory letter focused on the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus but of necessity had to urge the readers to “contend for the faith.” And it has always been so.

Once again, the trouble comes from within the Christian churches. Here the problem might have been easy to spot due to the blatant sinfulness of those who would pervert the Gospel. How it was that these were “designated for this condemnation” is not apparent. However, the message is simple: strange and false doctrine will be proclaimed and it must be withstood.

Be strong and courageous

Before long I will be sixty-nine years old, but I was once a young lion ready to take on any foe. It is more taxing for me now and more stressful to listen to the heckling when strikes and outs are called. Quickly it becomes apparent that I need my community of faith, the congregation I pastor, to stand alongside me.

A passage I memorized some decades ago gives me fresh strength to stand and deliver. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

[1] By Christianized I mean someone who has all the appearances of being a Christian, yet are not actually born again. False conversion may be fairly common when it is thought that by repeating a prayer, making an altar call, engaging in what are thought to be spiritual gifts, submitting to an organization’s requirements for membership, confessing and adhering to doctrinal positions, all of which are within the human capacity, are routinely practiced.

The Grandiose Claim of a False Prophet

Sigh –  A   big   one.

I’ve put this off for two days, so let’s just get on with it and be done. Shall we?

This is a video in which Cindy Jacobs gives a prophetic word to her pray-ers at theCall Sacramento earlier this month which seems to have caused God to shut down “human trafficking” on Craigslist. I found the article Tuesday on Right Wing Watch here.

Here is their clip and transcription follows –

RWW’s transcription (Cindy Jacobs speaking)

At one point there was a whole section on fighting human trafficking, sex trafficking, repenting of involvements in pornography and so forth and our friend Nancy Alcorn had her girls up who they had rescued from prostitution and so many things, some had actually been trafficked, been captured. And as we prayed there was a section where these girls were asked to go back, away from the platform, there was a cross, a big cross set up, and they kneeled down and began to pray and I gave them a prophecy and I said “could it be that even right now, as we speak, that that God, the just God, wants to give you a sign that he is going to break the back of sex trafficking.”

And so they cried out for freedom and they cried out and asked God to do that and right after that we received word that Craigslist was going to begin to censor some of the things that were coming over their list concerning pornography and adult content. And we just felt it was a huge victory.

Yes, I’ve verified that Jacobs was at theCall Sacramento.

From TechnologyLive

Craigslist has shut down its controversial “Adult Services” section — by replacing the link to that section with the word “censored” written in bold letters on a black background, as you can see for yourself by clicking to its flagship San Francisco website.

Craigslist is the online classified ads service, launched in 1995 by entrepreneur Craig Newmark. It maintains online communities in numerous cities, featuring free classified advertisements to consumers. It makes money by selling paid ads for jobs and apartments.

The self-censoring appears to be in response to this letter from attorneys general in 18 U.S. states to Newmark and Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster. The AGs insisted that Craigslist “immediately take down” the Adult Services section. Here’s why, according to an excerpt from the AGs’ letter:

In our view, the company should take immediate action to end the misery for the women and children who may be exploited and victimized by these ads. Because craigslist cannot, or will not, adequately screen these ads, it should stop accepting them altogether and shut down the Adult Services section.

Steve Jones, a professor of communication at the University of Illinois in Chicago who has studied Internet culture, told the AP that if Craigslist has left the adult services business for good, it won’t likely diminish the online market for sex acts. The business will likely shift to other adult sites, perhaps based outside the United States. “I bet there are people today who are registering domain names and saying: ‘Business opportunity for me,'” he said. (emphasis mine)

This, my friends, is a great example of false prophecy and NAR dominionism in action. This is their false gospel message in which there is no personal repentance required and no call for that repentance. There is however, a lot of impressive sounding words, supposed repenting on the behalf of others, but no call to the Father for those involved in sin to repent. Just a claim that He will change the situation. The false prophetic movement believes one can make a declaration straight out of their head and even call it a prophecy and God will have to act on it. This is because they believe they have the same authority and anointing as Jesus Christ. These “prophecies” are not according to God’s will, but according to their will.

Cindy Jacobs is all about societal transformation. No situation changes unless the heart of the person involved is changed. There must be repentance. A person must come to the place where they recognize their sin and their need of a saviour. For without this they are forever lost. And all that looove, all those good sounding words and warm fuzzies will not mean a thing the day they stand face to face with God.

John the Baptist stated “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” From John 1:29

Now, don’t get me wrong. The decision Craigslist made was a very good one indeed and I applaud them. And I applaud those who came forward to put pressure on them to do what is right.  However, it was an executive decision in which Craigslist heeded the pressure put on them by 18 State Attorneys General. What CEO in his right mind would not? And there is hope that the women and children who could have been hurt by those ads will not be. Maybe some will be saved the horror. This is the societal side of the situation.

However, there is a Christian side to look at here, as this woman, Cindy Jacobs claims to be a prophet of God. There has been no repentance of those who put up those kinds of ads, those who are involved in human trafficking who use women and children to their own gain. Preventing sin or “societal transformation” is not bringing about repentance.  But this is the plan of the NAR which is to take over sections of America, maybe the world, and bring about ways to control the behavior of America’s people. This will be accomplished through their “prophets and apostles” and their laws, not repentance. (Excuse the digress.)

Back to my point: Most bars close between 2 am and 6 am and during those hours it is illegal to serve alcoholic beverages to anyone. However, it is not illegal to drink during those hours in your own home. And those who frequent the bars – I am talking bar flies here – do not have a change of heart, are not repentant because they can’t drink at their bar. They are just sober and thirsty for more, waiting for the time to come and the doors will be open to them. So,  because there has been no repentance on the part of human/sex traffickers, they will simply take their business and their sin elsewhere, thirsty for more as other doors open to them.  As the wise man quoted in Technology Live article, they will see a business opportunity.  Nothing has changed in the great scheme of human trafficking as this false prophet has claimed. The only thing different is the geography of the same sin. The back of sex trafficking as Jacobs prophesied is not broken, but strong as always.

May God protect the innocent and the unsuspecting from the horror that is to come on them. The ways of man are evil. God help us reach the lost.

How to build an empire by Godtv

Wanna know how to raise millions of dollars?  In this case, 4.9 M…

How to build and empire by Godtv

Watch this shocking video at the link to see how it’s done. A little false  prophecy mixed in with some false promises – you know, the BLESSING – combined with a false prophet misapplying scripture, speaking in unknown and unterrpreted tongues, one who claims the Holy Spirit will offend the flesh so that He can pray. (Where’s that in the word, Wendy? Cuz that’s not what Jesus said!)

Just for good measure lets get some well known false prophets and teachers in there – Benny Hinn, Dutch Sheets, Brian Houston, Lou Engle, Chuck Missler (that one broke my heart!) and a few others. Is that Steve Munsey?? I’m shocked Todd Bentley wasn’t a part of this as important as he is to them and their profits.

It is so very sad that so many have found these methods to work. Just tack the name of God to the scam, or claim “God said…” and people fall all over themselves to send in the money. I’ve read stories, testimonies of those who did so to their own detrement. Though the false faith healers claim it, the healing does not come. These word of faither claims a blessing or a breakthrough  if you give enough, give generously, give your best gift sacrificially and that blessing never arrives. Faith is destroyed because it is built on LIES like the house built on sand.  Our Father God is not a part of Godtv.

Anyone ever watch that Steve Martin/Debra Winger movie Leap of Faith?

The Global Revival is here whether we like it or not

Another great article from Kathleen exposing the dangers of the false prophetic movement, aka the Global Revival. (Don’t the words Global Revival just sound creepy???)

Let’s look at the teachings of scripture vs. the teaching in this revival.

2Timothy 4.1-4 says: I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers  in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

Now instead of heeding this warning, many of these ministers including Bill Johnson of Bethel, Mike Bickle of IHOP, Patricia King of the Extreme Prophetic, Rick Joyner of Morningstar Ministries, are not teaching young believers to learn scripture and learn to rightfully divide the Word of Truth. They teach them that it is more important to experience “God’s love” and to listen to what he is “saying today.” They are taught to listen for prophetic words spoken to them by trained prophets. To listen to those who have been trained to be “led by the spirit.” They teach that people who have been trained in the supernatural are now able to be led by a new spirit. A spirit that is so new and so different that no one has a written guide book for this new thing God is doing. Those who are acting upon this new revelation are the “Radical glory forerunners”.

Don’t be fooled – Continue reading the truth….

Do People Choose to Be Blind?

I’ve been staying away from Todd Bentley. He is a proven heretic and I see no need, much less a desire, to track his every move, every word. We all know him for what he is. What surprises me is the support and following he continues to build and maintain. Do his followers look at him? Do they listen to him? He is not easy to look at by his own design of FOOLERY of the tattoos and shaved head. He dresses like a vampire and don’t let that  silver cross shining out of the blackness of his shirt trick you into believing he is a man of God! His look is designed to make us think he is something other than what he is-someone saved out of a sinful life of bikers, booze and drugs. Ha!  He falls over his own words which are lies upon lies, and clearly, Todd does not have a gift for speaking, teaching or leading!

So I have to ask – Do people choose to be blind?

I found this little jewel over on DiscerningtheWorld.com which will quickly show how far this man Todd Bentley has fallen and those along with him. They do not see the truth, they see some form of power, of supernatural experience which is exactly the push Todd is getting at here. Todd’s own words in this short video clip will show you without a doubt how completely out of control and dangerous Morningstar has gone.  Rick Joyner claims Todd has been “restored”. We must ask, restored to what exactly because whatever has happened to this man is not biblical restoration! And if anyone thinks I am being mean to poor Todd then consider those he and Rick Joyner are misleading every day! What of them? Who will save them?

As we have watched we have witnessed a coming together of various false “ministries” who present another gospel and another jesus, and another “spirit” and these things are not new!  I believe along with that is coming, or has already come, a greater source of power and strength. As the video states, Satan masquerades as an angel of light. He is not a fool and not a wimp. There is some power to his punch. How else will could he fool so many?

Todd Bentley – Enough About Jesus:

A very interesting point of view from Ian over on his blog that bears repeating:

The times of the Gentiles has been fulfilled

By ian vincent

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Luke 21:24

Jerusalem was sacked and the Jews dispersed in the 1st Century, fulfilling Jesus words here. While the Jews were in exile the Gentiles did indeed control Jerusalem, again, fulfilling the Word of the LORD.

Crucially, Jesus is saying that the end of Gentile dominance over the city of Jerusalem (bcos the Jews return from exile and regain control) marks the final chapter or phase of history before Jesus returns to earth.

The sign: when the Gentiles lose control of Jerusalem then their time is up. They will never tread down Jerusalem again, their time is over. That time is now. We are facing the most tumultuous period the world will ever face, bcos the Gentiles still think THEY own Jerusalem and want it back. They don’t know that their time is up, the times of the Gentiles has been fulfilled.

____

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Psalm 46:10

10 Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!

We need to be careful of who we put up on a pedestal, of who we listen to and follow, of who we believe holds the truth. This world is changing by the moment and many things are lining up. We don’t know how much time we have left before the return of the Lord. We don’t know with any certainly the condition our lives here on earth. So let’s take the time to be certain that our teachers are strictly biblical and that if we claim Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior that we follow the leading of His Spirit, the one and only Holy Spirit and not that of another. Let us be reminded of Luke 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all things that will come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man. And let’s continue to pray for those caught up in the delusion that they may see the truth.
