An Act of Well Honed Manipulation

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Proper exegesis, proper hermeneutics comes from time well spent in careful study. As a society we have enmassed a wealth of resources and information, and live in an information age, as answers to our questions are literally at our fingertips.

As Christians, we have the promised guidance of truth and revelation through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We have the written word of God which confirms truth to us as we study. Discernment is a gift, but it comes with understanding how it operates.  Surely we are a people who are able to spot a manipulator no matter how well-honed he appears. We are called to think soberly and to judge righteously, speaking against all teaching not supportive in scripture.

If you believe the man in the following video, Bill Johnson, is speaking through the presence and revelation of the Holy Spirit, if you believe the things said here are prophetic, you will just as easily believe the one who is to come claiming to be Christ – yet is not – the one who will fulfill the prophecy of Matthew 24 and sits on the throne. He too will perform great signs and wonders.

The deception and falling away from Christ will come that easily for you.

Why?

This man is a liar, and he is not a prophetic man of God, and these manifestations of signs and wonders as God’s presence and God’s blessing on His people are not found in the bible, which makes them false signs and wonders! Yet, he speaks as a man from God, so remember Christ said many would come in His name and would be deceived.

Christ also said that He would not leave us as orphans!  It is the desire of God for us to known Him through Christ, not feathers and dust, but  through repentance as sinners, gaining knowledge through His word – Jesus is the Word – and written, the confirmation of our faith!  He does not drop feathers. He does not rain down gold dust or appear as smoke.

Wasn’t the death of Christ enough for you to believe?  If not, you never will.

Nothing God does is offensive to us because we are in agreement with all that He says and does. Christ died for us. We are repentant. We delight in His ways!

Remember, proper study is needed and your eyes will be opened to see the truth.

Gold Dust Phenomena

We’ve had many conversations regarding the strange manifestations in various forms, one being gold dust.  I still consider it a great possibility they are man made, as I did the claim of the falling feathers I personally witnessed during an IAHR conference while Bill Johnson was speaking. Notice I said the claim of, not that I actually witnessed feathers falling, and I was sitting quite close. Much can happen in air venting systems and I also believe people can go to great lengths to manipulate others for their own gain. We need to think with sober minds.

Having already established the many false teachings of doctrine, practices and beliefs at Bethel, here is the latest manifestation from the most recent open heavens conference –

If these manifestations truly are from God, then we must seriously consider this point made by a friend –

Exodus 32:21

Then he (Moses) took the calf which they had made, burned it in the fire, and ground it to powder; and he scattered it on the water and made the children of Israel drink it.

Taking this verse into consideration – the people having had erected the golden calf for worship –  it implies the gold dust at Bethel would be a sign of judgement, not one of blessing. Remember in the earlier verses of Exodus,  Pharaoh’s magicians/enchanters were allowed to conjur and mimic God’s signs of judgement against them for a time. (See Exodus 5-8)

On a Facebook link of the video, a man commented the gold dust was proof the veil had been torn. OH! Consider – Matthew 27:51 Then behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, v 54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, the feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!” (see also Mark 15:37, Luke 23:45)

The veil has already been torn, a sign resulting from the death of Christ, allowing believers personal access of worship and communication to the Father, an act formerly reserved only for priests. It was the death of Christ in submission to the Father, the one time sacrifice for our sins that tore the veil in the temple!  The veil was not torn as an act of worship to the golden calf of Bethel.

Another comment claimed that the cloud was moving upward, not down, proving only God could do such a thing. First of all, that is not the way I saw it, and secondly – air flow–!  Proof whether or not this event was of God, if not foolery of a man, is found in His word, not in emotional based human reasoning.

The people are being conditioned to accept anything as a sign and wonder from God, even the antichrist will be seen as the Messiah, if it is possible to fool the elect.

It is possible.
