The Public Rebuke of a Modern Day Heretic (with applause)

I’m aware most everyone has seen the video involving the public rebuke of Todd Bentley. So, I’m not putting this up as a “look what I’ve found”, but rather to support and agree with the actions of these men and women taken against Todd.  (Yes, the wives and even children of the rebukers were present that night!) I do this in the continued effort of so many to warn others against the continued heresy of Todd Bentley, supported and endorsed by Rick Joyner, Mike Bickle and Bill Johnson.

It is sad and shocking at the same time to see Todd’s reaction. Did we truly expect he would repent? The actions of the people in his meeting scare me and remind me of those in the crowd who cried out for the release of the murderer Barabbas in return for the crucifixion of God in human form sent as our Savior who was without sin – Jesus Christ. Yes, it was the plan of God that Jesus suffer death, but at the same time, don’t the cries of the crowd reveal the true heart of mankind?  While Todd is not a murderer per se, lies kill truth. His false teaching and stories of bizarre supernatural experiences murders the true faith of Christianity.  He is a liar and a heretic. I have no problem speaking that out as truth. If you are a follower of this man, please pay attention to the warnings going out against him. We don’t do this for fun. It is far from it.

God help us.

Mark 15:6-15

6 Now at the feast he was accustomed to releasing one prisoner to them, whomever they requested. 7 And there was one named Barabbas, who was chained with his fellow rebels; they had committed murder in the rebellion. 8 Then the multitude, crying aloud,[a] began to ask him to do just as he had always done for them. 9 But Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” 10 For he knew that the chief priests had handed Him over because of envy.
11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd, so that he should rather release Barabbas to them. 12 Pilate answered and said to them again, “What then do you want me to do with Him whom you call the King of the Jews?”
13 So they cried out again, “Crucify Him!”
14 Then Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has He done?”
But they cried out all the more, “Crucify Him!”
15 So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be crucified.
